Snorgmaiden has been admitted to the emergency vets with a high temperature, conjunctivitis, and enlarged stomach and enlarged lymph nodes. Thought something was t right last night but not overly worried. Slightly worried this morning but thought I was being neurotic. Took one look at her when I got home from work and straight to the emergency vets. Hopefully an infection but worst case may be lymphoma. She's having loads of tests Tonight and they will ring me later. Need my hand holding you lovely lot. Sad

Have you had some rest/sleep now by the way? Smile

HemanOrSheRa · 01/03/2017 14:18

Oh bless her! I'm glad they got to the bottom of it and she is on the mend. I thought of Snorgs this morning - I met a cat who looks very much like her on my travels at work. Lovely black floofer with a ruff. We had a cuddle and I sang to her Grin.

Lovely photos toddler Smile. Is Snorgs writing out a list of demands now she is better?!

Toddlerteaplease · 01/03/2017 14:18

Yes but she decided to takeover my entire pillow last night so took me ages to get back to sleep!

Human, she never demands anything, she's a bit of an amoeba! The vet this morning described her as a cushion! She's rubbish at being at cat!

Ah well. You'll likely be indulgent for a bit. She was a very poorly girl after all.

HemanOrSheRa · 01/03/2017 14:23

Hehe! A cushion cat Grin.

Toddlerteaplease · 01/03/2017 14:42

Yes. She can have as much cat pate as she can eat!

Just be warned. I didn't think that Seniorboy would live more than a few months - to 15 at the outside - so started spoiling him when he came to me at 14.

It hasn't stopped! Grin

She's got a small lump next to the hole from the feeding tube. The vet said to watch she doesn't get an abcess. Is it worth giving the left over antibiotics the vet gave me. She asked if I still had any.

cozietoesie · 01/03/2017 18:44

What did she want you to do with them?

Toddlerteaplease · 01/03/2017 18:48

Not sure and I forgot to ask if she wanted me to give them anyway. I think I've only got a few doses so she might as well have them.

I'd check with her. (I'm pretty purist with ABs though, animal or human.)

Vinorosso74 · 01/03/2017 19:02

I'm so pleased she's better. Did the vet not say to just finish the course of abs? Probably best to finish the course but it doesn't hurt to double check.
I was surprised how quickly the hole from the feeding tube heeled up. Our cat vomited her tube up a couple of days before it was due to come out. Luckily she was at the vets at the time. I think it was a protest at the enema she'd just had.

Toddlerteaplease · 01/03/2017 19:36

She finished her antibiotics a week ago. These are just some that they gave me to give her when she was home for the day last week. She only needed one dose but gave me several tablets.

Toddlerteaplease · 01/03/2017 19:37

The hole looks almost closed already.

Maybe her immune system is doing its thing without a helping hand? Smile

cozietoesie · 01/03/2017 19:50

Maybe she gave you several tabs only because she was anticipating that the first one would not stay down?

timtam23 · 01/03/2017 21:44

Goodness what a diagnosis to have! So glad she's feeling better now!

iloveeverykindofcat · 02/03/2017 07:01

Now see if she hadn't been fat, she might not have come through so well adds to list of excuses for Bibi

Toddlerteaplease · 02/03/2017 11:01

I love. That thought crossed my mind. Antibiotics are a no go. She clamped her mouth shut and was having none of it. Think the site is ok though.

Vinorosso74 · 02/03/2017 11:03

She's probably thinking "I'm better now human no more drugs".

Olinguito · 02/03/2017 11:31

Fantastic news! You must have aged a few decades through this though!

Toddlerteaplease · 02/03/2017 12:00

Yes. I feel like I've aged 50 years in the space of two weeks!

But the first insurance claim has been settled. That was quick work Tesco!

That was quick. Smile
