Some bastard has hit my cat.

Some fucking shit ran over my cat!

My neighbour called me and said someone was speeding down our road ( which drives me mad as we have a school and nursery near us and it is 20 mph, but that's another thread....) and our cat ran across the road and they hit it. Get this they slowed then fucking drove off, did not even get out to see if he was okay.

So I had to take all three of my children home to see if he was dead bloody traumatic for them ( he was not dead) he is now at the vets with god knows what wrong with him, when I picked Him up and put him in my car he collapsed.

So to the Aibu can I watch out for the car as i have the reg and a good description and stick hundreds of post it notes thanking them for not getting out of the car the bastards? Angry

Oh goodness - I hope kitty pulls through Sad

It's awful that someone hit the cats and didnt stop. It's happened to my cats before.

The first one, someone hit ginger cat and didnt stop. His hips and pelvis were fractured and he was on cage rest for 6 weeks.

The second one, someone hit tabby cat and left him unable to move on the side of the road. Some passer by wrapped him in a blanket and took him to the nearest vet. He died, but I was so grateful that someone bothered with him.

Please let us know how he is

PickledLiver · 02/05/2013 01:32

If this was my thread I'd ask for it's removal and post an update on kitty's progress for those who care (because there are those who genuinely do) in the Litter Tray.

Why did this have to turn so sour? There really are some massive cunts about.

toffeelolly · 02/05/2013 06:49

Yes there are decent people, and there are heartless fuckers. Why the fuck post on here when all you can do make nasty comments (nasty fuckers) Zep really hope your little cat is ok.

Sparklingbrook · 02/05/2013 06:56

I think Pickled's idea is the best. Although if I were the OP I probably would have left MN reading this thread. Sad

If you are still about Zepherial see you over on The Litter Tray, and i hope today brings some good news. x

MissMogwi · 02/05/2013 07:11

Uh oh, my first deleted comment.

I still think there was some disgusting behaviour on this thread.

Hope your cat makes a good recovery OP.

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 02/05/2013 07:12

Hoping for good news for your cat today. Sorry you had to read such unsympathetic nasty comments. Alot of us are still thinking about you and hoping kitty pulls through. Loosing my cat still upsets me to this day even three years later. They are family no matter what anyone days.

Very un-MN ((( hugs))) x :(

JakeBullet · 02/05/2013 07:33

Typical of the success of MN is that it attracts arseholes as well as the supportive folk. Hope some of you are proud of your ability to be so "open and honest", I don't for one moment believe you would have the courage to say such things in real life. Says a great deal about you and what it says is not nice.

Sparklingbrook · 02/05/2013 07:41

I just can't believe anyone would post on a thread where a loved pet has been injured and say stuff like that. Then keep coming back adding fuel to the fire. Confused

ParadiseChick · 02/05/2013 07:44

Oh come on. In a conversation about someone not stopping when hitting a cat I said I probably wouldn't. If the same conversation came up in real life I'd say the same thing. What I wouldn't expect in real life is to be called a slag, my children brats and some of the other names I've been called but I understand people are brave behind a computer.

I probably wouldn't have stopped. Call me on that all you will.

I've said I hope the cats ok, I've said I have lost cats in the same way.

Arsehole, disgusting, heartless fucker etc would all perfectly warranted (slag I'm not sure about) if I'd came in going lulz your cat got ran over - which I did not.

ParadiseChick · 02/05/2013 07:46

Stuff like what sparkling? What exactly is so bad?

Sparklingbrook · 02/05/2013 07:50

If you can't see it Paradise. Sad

cozietoesie · 02/05/2013 07:53

Best let it go, Sparkling. The OP doesn't need all this kicking off again.

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 02/05/2013 08:03

Paradise are you REALLY still here??? It's as though your a masochist or something! Just leave it!

usualsuspect · 02/05/2013 08:04

Poor op.

I hope you can come back and update this thread.

Just ignore all the argy bargy,

Dahlen · 02/05/2013 08:15

I once spotted a cat that had been hit but was obviously still alive in the middle of the road. People just drove straight round it. Hmm I stopped, took it home (I lived on the same road), and called the vet. It died before I got it there, but at least the owner was able to be informed and at least the cat had some comfort before dying.

While I agree that in many scenarios, hitting the animal is unavoidable and trying to avoid it could potentially be far more dangerous, that only excuses the accident; not what happened afterwards. It's not a legal requirement to do lots of things in life, but not doing them makes you morally repugnant IMO.

Dahlen · 02/05/2013 08:16

Posted too soon. I hope your cat makes a full recovery.

RollerCola · 02/05/2013 08:30

Paradise don't you dare start getting all offensive about this, there's only one person in the wrong on this thread and it's you. You'll get called a lot worse names if you don't shut the fuck up & let the op come back and update the rest of us who actually care about how her cat is.

This thread is NOT about you and how people are now calling you names. Idiot.

TerrysAllGold · 02/05/2013 08:46

Paradise I won't tell you what I think of you as it would be viewed as a personal attack and deleted and I don't want that to happen. I want instead for you to see this.

I will tell you what I think of your comments. They seem to be coming from a seriously fucked up point of view and are selfish, heartless, cruel and disgusting - and yes, I would tell you that your comments are this and all the other things I think of you, to your face, make no mistake about that. Indicating posters are cowards hiding behind their keyboards to justify your own disgusting behaviour is a poor show and no-one's falling for it.

melika · 02/05/2013 08:57

Any update on Kit?

Mama1980 · 02/05/2013 09:03

Any update op? X

StuntGirl · 02/05/2013 09:04

Paradise has done nothing wrong, and the way posters are piling in on her and levelling such personal abuse is uneccessary and disgusting.

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 02/05/2013 09:06

Its amazing what can turn into shit slinging on MN. I am perpetually amazed Hmm

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 02/05/2013 09:14

stuntgirl when someone's distraught cos their pet was hurt and the driver didn't have the decency to stop, you don't come on and say you would do the same thing and moan about the damage to a car. I don't care if you hate cats you just don't say that. It's not a kind thing to do.

thebody · 02/05/2013 09:17

Op am so so sorry. Hope puss makes it.

Some people don't realise that a pet is a member of the family.

To drive off is simply vile. I winged a squirrel once and stopped. It ran off so it seemed ok but if it had been injured I wouldn't have thought twice about wrapping it up and driving straight to the vets.

People can be unbelievably vile to animals.

It's usually the same people who are vile in general I find.

flippinada · 02/05/2013 09:18

Well, if you post on a thread where someone's pet has been run over and they're clearly distressed about it, making a comment saying a) you wouldn't stop if you ran over an animal and b) you'd be more bothered about the damage to your car then you will get a strong reaction.
