Anyone snuck three dogs into center parcs

Has anyone snuck an extra dog into center parcs? Really want to book one lodge for myself, husband, daughter and parents but we have three dogs between us.

Two of the dogs are same breed so could pass as one, but I’m working out how to you get past the entrance? Do they record number of dogs in each car?

I would hide the smallest one but she’s noisy 😆 so it would be our largest one who would need hiding as she’d keep quiet.

It’s two labradors and Jack Russell. Just seems expensive to pay for a whole extra lodge just to accommodate a dog!

If you get one labrador to stand on top of the other one and then get the JRT to stand on his shoulders, all you need is a trenchcoat, sunglasses and a hat to get them in without paying anything extra at all.

Best suggestion yet!

@FlipFlopZebra this is the answer! For sure!

Iocanepowder · 10/07/2026 21:46

So just fyi, if you get them through check in, i wouldn’t say you’re out of the woods (no pun intended)

I went to center parcs this year and we had a few times when staff came into the lodge. One was when we needed something fixing, when we needed extra towels etc, and also even one where a cleaner came in the day before checking out to put some linen in the cupboard ready for set up for the next guests.

Oh if we’re doing confessions my pup cocked his leg and pissed up a bed in a Travelodge. He was booked in though so that was fine. 🤣. I have disinfectant spray with me and scrubbed it inc the urine deodoriser stuff. I suspect a different dog had previously done the same and it hadn’t been cleaned hence why my pup did it.

the travelodge reception guy said he had spent the weekend catching people trying to sneak dogs in without paying! Or trying to get too many dogs in….not sure what their limit is.

So long as it was another dog that had previously done the same.

You didn't follow a stag do into that room did you??? 😬😬😬

Do you not use MN a lot OP? Because it was obvious how this thread was going to go. Mumsnet people don't break the rules even if doing so causes no harm whatsoever. I'd say it's because many are autistic but I'm autistic (so I'm allowed to say that) and I'm not a rule follower.

I do but not a massive poster.

I found a thread from 2021 that was similar but OP didn’t get piled on so naively thought I was safe 😆 especially posting in doghouse the post I did find was in chat which I thought was brave

Tbh I’ve had good advice and suggestions from some and I’ve enjoyed reading some of the responses 😆

Are they black labradors? If so, you could you train one of them to always stand between the other Labrador and the sun. That way the second labrador will be mistaken for the shadow of the first.

REDB99 · 10/07/2026 21:48

Urgh - taking dogs to centre parcs and ruining it for everyone else.

Or you could put one of them in a pair of novelty gruffalo slippers and say it's a yeti. Afaik centre parcs doesn't have a yeti quota.

They came into your lodge unannounced, to put in linen!!

That’s not acceptable at all!

FlipFlopZebra · 10/07/2026 21:52

Now these are the type of solutions I was hoping for! When one of the labs was a puppy we got them a lion mane and they pulled it off so this could be a genuine solution 😆

Urgh centre parcs don’t have an issue and dog owners don’t have their holiday ruined!

BitOutOfPractice · 10/07/2026 21:54

I can’t tell you how pissed off I would be to have paid big money to be in a lodge next to three dogs, especially a “noisy” one. Selfish behaviour right there. It’s not clever, it’s not funny.

SandyHappy · 10/07/2026 21:55

We had three dogs for about 10 years, I've never been to centreparcs, so they may be stricter but Haven and Park Dean plenty of times and they have a two dog policy, I started off ringing them up and asking, some said flat no, others said yes as long as I pay extra (£90 instead of £60), so after I determined that they WILL accept three dogs then we used to sneak one in there after.

You need to know the checking in policy if anyone can advise as at all haven I've been to you park up and go into a building to get keys, there was only one park dean place where you queued in your car and we had to cover one of ours in blankets!

Why not ring up with a new 'potential' booking and ask about their dog policy.. if they say yes to 3 as long as you pay, then you'll know then whether to amend your booking or take the chance.

We've never had any problems with ours in all those years of holidays, but we've never been to centre parcs, and we always take blanket to cover all furniture etc, never leave them alone etc.

Would you be ok if you’d paid big money to be in a lodge next to two dogs? Which may be equally noisy? Though i don’t think OP said they were noisy? And someone would be with them all the time so can’t imagine they’d sit there letting them bark?

I wasn’t trying to be clever or funny though? I was just asking others if they had snuck a third dog in.

Does being into a lodge with two dogs and one’s noisy make it better? If the third isn’t noisy what difference does it make?

What about your lodge has two dogs on the left hand side, then two other dogs on the right? Is that better?

Is it just three dogs in one place that causes you an issue?

Why do folk have to be so mean, sneaky and dishonest. I despair sometimes. I really do.

This is why people think all dog owners are dickheads.

If you want to take 3 dogs but don’t want to pay for two cabins, you’ll need to look at sites that allow 3 dogs and compromise on some of the activities that centreparcs offers.

Do they? All people think dog owners are dickheads. I don’t . Far reach there

This makes you despair? Really?

I despair at cruelty to animals, but shock horror three dogs sharing a lodge, doesn’t make me despair!

I do like the way you are styling out all the criticism, OP. I clicked into the thread tutting a bit about the idea of deception, but now I am fully on board with all of the highly practical sleight-of-dog suggestions.

You quite clearly think it’s clever / cool / somehow clever to break the rules here. It’s not.
