Anyone snuck three dogs into center parcs

Has anyone snuck an extra dog into center parcs? Really want to book one lodge for myself, husband, daughter and parents but we have three dogs between us.

Two of the dogs are same breed so could pass as one, but I’m working out how to you get past the entrance? Do they record number of dogs in each car?

I would hide the smallest one but she’s noisy 😆 so it would be our largest one who would need hiding as she’d keep quiet.

It’s two labradors and Jack Russell. Just seems expensive to pay for a whole extra lodge just to accommodate a dog!

You quite clearly think it’s clever / cool / somehow clever to break the rules here. It’s not.

But Does that affect the dog, as you’ve alluded too?

BitOutOfPractice · 10/07/2026 22:06

The absolute entitlement of dog owners is real on this thread. Ugh. Pay for your dogs properly or leave them at home.

I do like the way you are styling out all the criticism, OP. I clicked into the thread tutting a bit about the idea of deception, but now I am fully on board with all of the highly practical sleight-of-dog suggestions.

Thank you, I just thought I can either get defensive or have a bit of fun! Life’s too short not to have fun 🤭

I get some people won’t approve of my idea but really don’t think I deserve to be called a dickhead, selfish, the reason rescue centres are open, a tight arse etc.

She’s quite clearly said the third dog is a problem. Have you ever lived next to a yappy dog? I have. If there was one in my expensive holiday as well I would not be happy.

Wouldn’t they be hungry and it would be cruel surely!

I mean what harm are the dogs going to come too, if they share a lodge! They really won’t know the errant owners have broken any rules! Honest they can’t read!

Come off it. You’re asking for tips / experiences about how to do it. Exchanging ideas how to break the rules. At least own it.

No, she’s said CPs rules are a problem!

Don’t holiday in dog friendly places, problem solved!

My dog isn’t yappy, sometimes they bark at strangers when not on the lead. They don’t bark on walks which are always on a lead, they don’t bark in the house. Hence why I said at check-in they may bark hence why the little one can’t be hidden.

I had three and considered trying to smuggle the third one in but didn’t dare.

anyway we now only have two and we’ve taken them. They didn’t ask to search the car but they did ask for their names, breed, dob etc and their information was logged. I’m pretty sure at the check in she said ‘and you only have two dogs….?

also people saying you’re tight and should pay up for another lodge. We’re not talking about £100, more like £1500 or more!

I get they don’t want to be overrun with dogs but I can see why people try and find a way around it and they probably do!

a lot of posters on mumsnet seem to get very upset at any sort of ‘rule-breaking’ and you’ll get lots of ott bossy posts telling you off.

You might get some bossy neighbours who will report you for having 3 dogs.

That’s a random comment?

So you’re not commenting on three dogs in a lodge?

CrazyDogLady3 · 10/07/2026 22:12

I've smuggled my smallest into a Travelodge (paid for a pet friendly room - paid for 2 dogs but they didn't have 3 as an option) - felt guilty and confessed and the people at reception couldn't have cared less 😂 I've not read through the 10 pages but if you haven't already it's worth just emailing them to ask - lots of places set 2 as a rule to stop people being loads of dogs and them being really loud and trashing the place but I've never had an issue asking to bring my 3 quiet well behaved dogs

BitOutOfPractice · 10/07/2026 22:13

“they bark at strangers”

“the smallest one but she’s noisy”

I know exactly what they are like.

Why though? At haven e got charged a £90 cleaning fee for 3 dogs, but only a £60 cleaning fee for 2 .. it takes no longer to clean for 3 dogs than 2 as the cleaning process is exactly the same, we cover all furniture and clean ourselves before we leave. The establishment sure as shit down pay their cleaners any more for 3 dogs, so why line their pockets for doing nothing?

If it went to the actual cleaner I'd pay it no problem.

They Bark at strangers when off the lead… I then said she’s always walked on a lead…

I was simply highlighting at check-in she’d probably be noisy if a stranger came to the car. Literally the only situation she would bark.

but sure take my words and twist them to fit your narrative :)

Also a bit scared you know exactly what they are like? Are you stalking me? Have you met my dogs in real life?

I didn’t ask the truth. I asked for people’s experiences of taking three dogs to center parcs. You’ve already confirmed you’ve never been to center parcs so your point isn’t relevant.

You’re not asking for experiences about three dogs. You’re asking for advice on how to sneak a dog in. Posters have called you out so now you’re pretending you are not planning to.

FYI - dogs at CP needs to be on a leash. Don’t be one of those dog owners who disregards that rule.

operationplaytime · 10/07/2026 22:18

Also they only have a very limited number of dog lodges anyway so it’s really not like the place is overrun. You would get found out pretty quickly if you tried to have a dog in a non dog lodge so in my experience there really aren’t that many dogs you see at CP

Do you not use MN a lot OP? Because it was obvious how this thread was going to go. Mumsnet people don't break the rules even if doing so causes no harm whatsoever. I'd say it's because many are autistic but I'm autistic (so I'm allowed to say that) and I'm not a rule follower.

Nowt wrong with being honest, luv.

Frequency · 10/07/2026 22:20

@FlipFlopZebra Evidently, three dogs are only an issue if they bark, so I propose you leave all of your dogs with me, and I will loan you the demonic chihuahua to take on holiday with you. He barks, and he bites, but he fits within the two-dog rule, so everyone will be happy.

The only issue is that he may also bite you. The rules appear to be:
If you're a stranger, he will bite you
If you're not a stranger, but he doesn't like you for reasons only he understands, he will bite you.
If he does like you and you're not fussing him, he will bite you
If you stop fussing him before he's ready, he will bite you
If you keep fussing him when he's ready for you to stop he will bite you.

Yeah advice on how to sneak the third dog in. Experiences of people doing this. And that’s fine to ask? I’m not sure where I pretended I’m not planning too? I’ve said some ideas may work, I’ve said I have worries some ideas may not work. And that’s ok. I’m not sure where the pretence is?

my dogs would be kept on a lead one of them doesn’t get let off the lead anyway

I had a holiday rental, allowed 2 dogs. Most people who had 3 contacted me. 3 Jack Russells, no problem. 3 Newfies, big problem (small cottage). Some people did take more dogs than allowed without asking which is very entitled (neighbours questioned to me 3 big dogs). I did get annoyed when people took the piss but once they were there what can you do? Just ask and accept the answer.
