Anyone snuck three dogs into center parcs

Has anyone snuck an extra dog into center parcs? Really want to book one lodge for myself, husband, daughter and parents but we have three dogs between us.

Two of the dogs are same breed so could pass as one, but I’m working out how to you get past the entrance? Do they record number of dogs in each car?

I would hide the smallest one but she’s noisy 😆 so it would be our largest one who would need hiding as she’d keep quiet.

It’s two labradors and Jack Russell. Just seems expensive to pay for a whole extra lodge just to accommodate a dog!

Centre parks is fine for dogs and is full of them. I don’t recognise a lot of the scenarios being posted. We take two dogs, and enjoy the outdoor activities. Even the restaurants deliver to your lodge.

And I’m fairly sure that the dogs were barely mentioned at check in…

Oh did not know there was delivery to lodges that changes things 😋 thank you

I snuck DBx2 into centre parks in 2016 😂

Is this Dear Beagle ?

Was coming on to suggest similar. You’re allowed to leave in a car once you’ve checked in. So,

Travel in 2 cars.

Car 1 - some people and Lab 1 and Jack Russell.

Car 2 - rest of the people and Lab 2

Car 1 checks in with x2 dogs, a Lab and a JR, which are on your booking form. Parks up for a bit, then leaves with an empty car (they don’t watch you leaving), pretending to go shopping or whatever and pretending Lab 1 is in the boot.

They collect Lab 2 from Car 2 and return. They’re waved through because they’ve already checked in.

Car 2 checks in a bit later on with no dogs because all 3 are now in Center Paecs, courtesy of a covert mission by Car 1.

Center Parcs check in staff think you’ve got 1 Lab and 1 Jack Russell. No one else will have a clue. Even if you walk them together no one will know whether you’ve got 1, 2 or a dozen lodges or even who you are.

And yes, people have done this to bring in extra adults, children and even a house cat.
It wasn’t me so please don’t come on telling me about people with allergies.

I love the cunning behind this. It’s like that puzzle where you have to get all the foxes across the river in a raft or something.

I do know someone who got an extra person into centre parcs doing something similar. I’m vague on the details. But they went out to Sherwood pines for a bike ride and came back in dribs and drabs with an extra person. Not sure if this is still correct but they don’t or didn’t seem to check cyclists entering the establishment, and mean maybe you had to say a lodge number and party name but they weren’t keeping a running head count.

Are you booking a dog friendly lodge?

I don't think a dog friendly lodge is usually an entire lodge for each dog. 🤣

CrowsInMyGarden · 10/07/2026 21:19

We went last year, took two dogs. Booked online and paid for two dogs. Nobody checked, we could have easily smuggled in a third.

No way will that cut it!

The dog will have PTSD, as a minimum!

I clearly understand dogs way more than you! I hope you’re not a dog owner.

It’s ok my pet insurance covers counselling!

Oh dear, you really need to take a cold shower!

I’m not sure not paying an extortionate amount extra to take your dog on holiday so it has its own lodge is a form of cruelty or a reason to not have a rescue?

I mean they could ask for people rescuing to advise of there holiday decisions in advance, and anyone not ensuring that dogs that normally share a house that aren’t having separate accommodation on holiday should be excluded?

is it a requisite that all rescue owners have to even take the dog on holiday?

Decent rescues do indeed ask for your plans when going on holiday when they do a home check. And “I’m planning on not paying, because I’m a selfish tightarse” (ops own words) would indeed exclude her from adopting a rescue dog.
And you bloody take a cold shower. It’s people like me who go out to collect these dogs , in our own time and with our own money, when the shit hits the fan. Rescues are overflowing and dogs die everyday, because of selfish, stupid “owners”. Don’t be so bloody ignorant.

I own 19 dogs. 17 of them are on sertraline because I couldn't take them to Butlins last year.

Thank you :)

It was £800 extra for the weekend we are looking at. Our dogs are more elderly so hopefully don’t need too much running around in the dog area each day but even then sounds like not much they can join in with.

If between you you’re ok with someone either being in the lodge with the dogs or pottering about with the dogs on a lead then it’s ok. But you’d have to do swimming and any activities in relays I guess.

I wouldn’t be enough of a rule breaker to leave dogs unattended in the lodge just in case they started barking, etc.

KittyEckersley · 10/07/2026 21:22

Dont know about dogs but I’ve been to three hen parties at center parcs and never been caught.

tachetastic · 10/07/2026 21:23

Can I take this opportunity to put my hand up and confess that ten years ago I stayed one night in a motel in France and only paid the supplement for one dog even though I knew full well I had two dogs in the back of the car.

I feel dirty just thinking about it. 😫

In my defence they were the laziest dogs ever and I don't think moved off their beds the entire night so I doubt there was any evidence we even had one dog in there (though it was a dog-friendly room before MNers start punching "dander" into their keyboards).

This is why people think all dog owners are dickheads.

If you want to take 3 dogs but don’t want to pay for two cabins, you’ll need to look at sites that allow 3 dogs and compromise on some of the activities that centreparcs offers.

This is why people think all dog owners are dickheads

Behave. I’ve never heard anyone say that all dog owners are dickheads. Just like I’ve never heard people say all parents are dickheads, or all men are dickheads. Some people are dickheads just because they’re dickheads. Just like I think people who come out with such a stupid statements are…..dickheads.

This is shocking! Relinquish any dogs you still own and never consider having another pet!

How do you feel that dog feels being denied existence?

We’d never leave them alone, normally when we go away we spend a lot of time in accommodation winding down anyway and pop out to the facilities in pairs while someone else has the dogs. Works well for us so maybe center parcs would work.

Tape the dogs together and pretend it's that three headed dog from Greek mythology.

Oh if we’re doing confessions my pup cocked his leg and pissed up a bed in a Travelodge. He was booked in though so that was fine. 🤣. I have disinfectant spray with me and scrubbed it inc the urine deodoriser stuff. I suspect a different dog had previously done the same and it hadn’t been cleaned hence why my pup did it.

the travelodge reception guy said he had spent the weekend catching people trying to sneak dogs in without paying! Or trying to get too many dogs in….not sure what their limit is.

ChannelLightVessel · 10/07/2026 21:28

Well, I don’t have a dog in this fight (though we did once take a kitten on holiday to Cornwall), but Center Parcs doesn’t sound desperately dog friendly to me anyway.

I think you’d be fine then. If you don’t mind on lead walks it would be a nice holiday. Do it.
