Anyone snuck three dogs into center parcs

Has anyone snuck an extra dog into center parcs? Really want to book one lodge for myself, husband, daughter and parents but we have three dogs between us.

Two of the dogs are same breed so could pass as one, but I’m working out how to you get past the entrance? Do they record number of dogs in each car?

I would hide the smallest one but she’s noisy 😆 so it would be our largest one who would need hiding as she’d keep quiet.

It’s two labradors and Jack Russell. Just seems expensive to pay for a whole extra lodge just to accommodate a dog!

Wow was just asking for experiences if anyone had taken a third dog calm down 😆

Really disproving the “all dog-owners are dickheads” comment, aren’t you OP.

Blueyblueyblue · 11/07/2026 00:44

We have three dogs between us, so we booked two lodges. This is what you should do op.

Oh dammit I shouldn’t have used my real name as my username 😆

Presumably the flip flops are to disguise the fact that you are a zebra? Could you not just get the third dog to wear flip flops too?

Frequency · 11/07/2026 01:43

I've changed my mind, OP. You should book an extra lodge, in fact, you should book one lodge per person and a spare lodge, and make sure each lodge has 2 dogs in it, so you get your money's worth. At least one of them should be a bullbreed.

The small one is noisy though, that's not going to work. "Why is your stomach growling?" "I'm hungry". And OP doesn't want ro pay for two lodges, so definitely too tight arsed to fit a labrador.

Sandy Balls is brilliant for dogs @FlipFlopZebra . The pub and restaurant let them in and the George at fordingbridge is a lovely walk across fields where you can have a meal right by the river. My dog got so many treats in burley she got tummy ache and the forest smells are dog heaven. You can also walk alpacas although they don't allow dogs for that!

Miyagi99 · 11/07/2026 06:44

Just book somewhere that takes three dogs.

Yes of course @FlipFlopZebra speaks for every dog owner!

It’s not like dog owners are a group of mixed people, all shapes and sizes!

😆 😆 because I’ve not asked people for opinions on this I’ve asked anyone has snuck a dog in.

I know it’s breaking the rules but that’s on me and my risk to take.

Come on! You’re posting on Mumsnet! If you’ve been here a long time you’ll know that not everyone is going to agree with you and you should expect a difference of opinion.
You’re not endearing yourself with your silly, childish replies.

Be fair, the responses OP got, whilst predictable, are OTT. There are posters telling her she is abusing her dogs, that she is the reason rescues exist, that one extra dog next door to them would ruin their entire holiday...

If she were planning on sneaking in a lion, or [shock horror] sneaking a dog into a dog-free lodge, I could understand, but she's considering sneaking a JRT into a dog-friendly lodge alongside two other dogs, whom she would pay for. Despite what MN thinks, this is not a crime comparable to mass murder.

Hopefully you'll get kicked out if you try to smuggle one in. Having 3 dogs is so unnecessary, if you have to overrun your life with dogs then live with the consequences

They have 3 dogs between them and her parents. It’s not like she’s not hoarding dogs. Anyway having two dogs is a lot more fun they don’t want to be with humans all the time. Dogs who have the company of another dog are a lot less stressed when left alone.

Frequency · 11/07/2026 11:46

Actually, I've just realised we might be sneaking an extra dog into our Park Dean lodge next month. We have a dog-friendly lodge that accepts up to 3 dogs, but in the past, when we've asked, they have allowed us to bring as many as 8 dogs when we had mum, dad, and a litter of 6 puppies.

We've paid for one dog because we were only bringing one dog. However, a couple of people have now dropped out, so there is room between the three lodges we've booked for my sister and her family to come without having to pay for their own lodge, as they cannot afford it. They have a dog they can't afford to kennel.

I haven't added it to my booking because we don't know my sister is coming yet, it is just a possibility. We don't know if she is bringing the dog if she does come, because some of her children might not be coming, and they will mind the dog. If she does come and bring the dog, she might not be staying all week. Plus, my mum has a dog-friendly lodge and has paid for one dog who is now not coming, so the dog might stay there if it does come. Otoh, my dad hates that dog and is saying no to it staying with them, so I've said if need be, it can stay with us in our lodge.

I'm not spending an extra £90 on the off chance a tiny chihuahua possibly turns up. Plus, the way I see it, we've paid for one dog, the average Lab, i.e one average dog, weighs 25kg. Ours weigh 6kg (freakishly large chihuahua) and 4kg; therefore, we technically have less than half a dog staying with us.

That’s what I’m thinking we’ll be in two cars as well but just feels high risk

They won’t spot you out for a walk, you barely see staff out and about and if you do it’s unlikely they’ll know what lodge you’ve come from

6days7nights · 11/07/2026 18:06

loobylou10 · 10/07/2026 19:49

They really don’t open your boot to see if there are stowaways 😂 but they do ask breed of dog

I have had too, every time we have been. However I have a people carrier/ van type vehicle? Or maybe we just look like a dodgy bunch 🤷🏽‍♀️

selffellatingouroborosofhate · 11/07/2026 18:15

Why is it that people like you see a rule and think it doesn't apply to you? It's so entitled. Center Parcs set the rules on their premises and you should respect that.

Put your dogs in kennels, ask for permission to take a third, split your booking so that you and your parents have a lodge each and can have two dogs each, or book somewhere that allows three dogs.

WhitePudding · 11/07/2026 18:26

I was at a beach today, at one part you are not allowed dogs. It is clear and boldly written. But nope a couple chose to ignore, there’s an RNLI museum as you go past, a member of staff came out and sent them off. It’s the same thing. Trying to be above the rules.

You can’t just do what you want to do. Imagine if everyone just decided to sneak one more dog in or a person in the boot. 🙄

Meeatcheese · 11/07/2026 18:34

Oh dear, another entitled dickhead dog owner.

Exactly! But anyone who says anything against OP is called out.
Let's be clear here, OP has every intention of sneaking that extra dog in, she knows it's wrong, that's why she made this thread, so people would placate her and make her feel less guilty, (because if she didnt have doubts / feel guilty she wouldn't have made this thread in the first place), and certain posters are doing exactly that and jumping on anyone who says otherwise. Ridiculous! And her replies to anyone who has called her out have been smug and self serving.
I hope she gets kicked out if she does go ahead with her plan.
Rules are there for a reason.

Sennelier1 · 11/07/2026 18:51

I do love dogs, bit I just háte the continuous barking of dogs who are unsettled because their humans (that's you) have chosen to take them outside their comfort zone. I think people like you are the reason some parcs forbid to bring ány dog at all.

GreenAlgae · 11/07/2026 18:56

And what do dogs even do at centre parcs?? Three dogs in a tiny lodge with only very small spaces where they’re allowed off lead?

Agreed. Not much fun for dogs at all.

Doubt she’ll get kicked out or even discovered!

And to be honest some of the responses on here are crazy, I think she’s answered with humour and good grace!

I agree. OP has responded normally to most replies but the silly ones get silly answers. Some posters are just so black and white and ott about ~ breaking rules ~ All the things wrong in the world and all the genuinely evil things people do, someone sneaking an additional dog into center parcs seems an odd thing to ‘despair at’.
