Here you all are, loving the pup pics.

This is Ynyshirpup our 18 week old Springerdoodle. In this pic he is the floofiest boy, but right now he’s nipping at my ankles and driving me bonkers! Grin

Hi all, hope I can join you. Our pup is 9 weeks old, an Irish labradoodle, we've had her since Saturday...she's very well tempered, into everything. Bites everything. Wees far too often!

@Nix32 I'm on boot hunt too! I blooming love Tibetan terriers, they're gorgeous dogs.

Currently scouting eBay for secondhand Ariat boots

TheBigMacDougal · 19/08/2021 20:53

What do people do in the evenings? We got away with zoomies the first week, but they are here now!

We end up enforcing a nap between 8&9 when we get fed up,, then take him out at 9 and sometimes he will then nap with crate door open, or he goes bonkers again. Then it’s last wee at 10 and we all go to bed.

It seems a waste of the evening. We’ve started working on a settle blanket but have quite a way to go with it as this evening he was just too amped up wanting to jump for the kibble that’s to reinforce chill out of the blanket Confused

He’s 12 weeks on Saturday. Will he grow out of it? Soon?!

TheBigMacDougal · 19/08/2021 21:00

@Nix32 I love my country boots. Lots of them around, at varying £££ (Dublin, dubarry, toggi, ariat…). Some of our paths are calf deep mud for at least a couple of months and they stand up to it!

GuyFawkesDay · 19/08/2021 21:13

What would you recommend @TheBigMacDougal ? I'd rather pay for good quality then get something that leaks! Our paths here are pretty muddy in winter so I need good grip and more than ankle length too

TheBigMacDougal · 19/08/2021 21:35

I’ve had toggi ones a few times. One pair lasted a good 5 years of being battered 6 months a year! I think my current ones are Dublin and they seem as good. I’d love some more expensive ones but keep putting off parting with the money Grin

We're also stuck in the zoomie phase. He won't nap in the evening, so I'm quite jealous that yours will! I've got no advice, but hopefully it will pass soon!
GuyFawkesDay · 19/08/2021 21:56

We have nap, then wake and have witching hour biting, zoomies etc then he will have a wee, a chew and settle down. He's just gone in his bed having spent half an hour biting trousers/legs etc.

cheeseisthebest · 19/08/2021 22:03

Mine just won't wee when I take him out at this time and he won't do it in the middle of the night either. He just lies on the grass. Just took him out, no wee and he's now taken himself to bed!

tizwozliz · 19/08/2021 22:03

Ada naps from 8.30 to bedtime (10:30/11pm) pretty consistently. She does like to hump the cushions before settling down however. A habit that started a couple of weeks ago.

MorningInspiration · 19/08/2021 22:29

Thanks @Aria20 for creating the new page and relinking.

Been a bit quiet as back to work. Morningpup decided to eat my fireplace paint whilst on a teams call. My poker face did falter whilst listening to the chew noises. Unfortunately due to being on a bland diet from river water he couldn't have his usual chews. (Though he now chicken obsessed).

Loving the photos- absolutely gorgeous pack of pups. Morningpup is 14 week lab and looking more dog. I love the fact that labs always look at you like they are thinking "What you looking at"/grumpy.

Just catching up and so glad @Spudlet spudpup is ok now. MP eats everything too and honestly my heart lept for you and pup.

Argh! 00:33am, 4:00am, 5:18am. We seem to be going backwards.

tizwozliz · 20/08/2021 06:46

We've had an unsettled night too, after crying every hour for no discernible reason I gave up and slept on the sofa with her at 3am. As much for my benefit as hers.

MakeMeCleanTheHouse · 20/08/2021 06:46

11 week old labrador
@Heretherenow how old is your pup How are you doing?

Yesterday I found myself thinking it was a good day and reflected that )I'd struggled to concentrate for a couple of hours as I was up and down checking on undesirable behaviour, 2) he peed on the floor next to me and 3) in my only video call vomited then started eating it. I lifted him on my lap all 10kg of him and 4) he proceeded to lick my face....despite the vomitty face wash I pretended everything was under control for the purpose of video. 5) He also dug a hole in the garden. Thus was a good day Confused

I think I've adjusted my expectations (lowered them to the floor)

@SweetLathyrus I love your vegetarian comment Grin

R is six months today. Wednesday I was feeling pretty smug because she behaved like an angel all day. Yesterday she jumped all over my friend at a dog field and then refused to come back to have her lead on on a walk with another friend. Pride comes before a fall they say! I love her dappy face either way... I'm a teacher so am currently loving all the time with her.

Thanks for the new thread @Aria20

Hello to all of the newbies and their beautiful pups.

It's been a bit intense here trying to juggle dc, puppy, wfh etc so sorry I haven't been around.

I am happy to report (for those who remember my terrified ds) we have made huge progress on this front! Ds is now happy to come out on walks and comfortable spending time (cautiously) in the same room as Nordpup, even asking her to sit and giving treats. I cannot tell you what a difference this is making to our daily lives!

Pic is a couple of weeks ago at 4 months

@SweetLathyrus oh god me too! Up at 12, 2, 2:30, 4:30 and went downstairs and slept on sofa at 5:30.

As bad as night 1 😭😩

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/08/2021 08:07

Life pup is a bag of bastards, who loves eating stones too.
And ate a discarded twirl on his walk yesterday. Seems ok though if on a sugar high.

He will be 22 weeks on Sunday

MakeMeCleanTheHouse · 20/08/2021 08:20

Shhhh @lifelongfrugaleer you're supposed to say at 22 weeks everything is just ticketey boo perfect

Spudlet · 20/08/2021 08:29

Oh @Nordstrom, that’s wonderful news about your DS and Nordpup! I am genuinely dead chuffed for you all ❤️ I’m sitting here with a smile on my face Smile

Aria20 · 20/08/2021 08:29

My little sod jumped up yesterday evening and stole a whole raw bbq flavoured pork steak off the baking tray I had been about to put in the oven as I'd had to quickly answer the door! Got back and she had half of it hanging out of her mouth I told her to drop it and she growled at me (don't even think about confiscating this meat from me!) and savagely gulped it all down!!! Cue panic as even though dogs obviously can eat raw meat it was bbq flavoured so had onion/garlic powder flavouring on it! Rang the vets 10 mins before they were due to close and they said she should be fine but would prob have an upset tummy or be sick later as she's not used to raw and to keep an eye on her and call back today if she's unwell. Well she has since done 2 normal poops, so far no sick but my god she's letting off some stinky gas!

Two days in a row she's stolen food... which hasn't happened before, if she's in kitchen and I'm preparing food she will sit at my feet hoping I'll drop some or take pity on her but she's never jumped up and helped herself before these two incidents. she's obviously hungry but isn't finishing all her own food - fussy madam!

@MakeMeCleanTheHouse thank you for asking! After a sob yesterday morning I have been feeling better. Herepup has redeemed himself at night and has slept from 11pm - 6.15am in his crate in the kitchen Halo!

My OH is in the RAF and I'm taking Herepup to the barracks this weekend so I'm expecting everything to go downhill!

Heretherenow · 20/08/2021 08:45

Here is a a picture of 10 week old Herepup and another of my 10y black lab. My ex sadly got him in the divorce and I miss him terribly.
