Zooplus.co.uk also does antlers. They're quite good for a variety of pet things.

BiteyShark · 25/06/2018 23:09

I hide the antler once BiteyDog discards it so it doesn't lose its value as I sometimes need it to use it to keep him distracted whilst working if I am particularly busy and he is demanding ball play Grin

Another thing I forgot to say we do with the antler is once it's been chewed a bit DH saws off the end so it looks and tastes just like new again Grin

I will try hiding antler away for a while, bring it out with a flourish and maybe smear a bit of peanut butter on the end to get her interested. However, she has just had a frozen Kong cos I wanted to keep her still in the shade which took her 45 mins to work through and she is now crashed out on the cool kitchen floor. It is too hot for woman or beast today😁

GooodMythicalMorning · 26/06/2018 16:40

The breeder who we got Indy from has had another bulldog litter. Am in two minds whether or not to get one. Twice as much work but twice as much good times? They're adorable. One is pure white. I'd be gutted if they didn't get along though.

BiteyShark · 26/06/2018 16:47

Goood are you able to seperate and train/walk independently if needed e.g. they didn't get along or one had behavioural issues that needed 1-1 handling?

That's my own personal criteria for a second dog which for me rules one out also BiteyDog costs me a fortune so another one would burn a large hole in the pocket

Yes. That would be doable. walking seperately wouldnt be an issue. Also fil who we rent from wasnt best pleased when we got Indy but so far he hasn't really done very much damage to the house. Only quick fix type things. Hmm. Lots to think about.

BiteyShark · 26/06/2018 21:13

You feeling up to all the puppy stuff again then Goood? shudders at the thought Grin

Haha yeah. The cuddles are worth the hard stuff. Not sure if we will go through with it though.

RadioDorothy · 27/06/2018 21:14

We'll run out of space on this thread soon!

Little Radiodog had a most unpleasant visit to the vet today - came back minus 9 teeth. Blush. She is still a bit spaced out and occasionally rubbing her face, but she's eaten some chicken, had lots to drink and dashed outside for an emergency anaesthetic poo. She seems ravenous and thirsty but I don't want to over fill her stomach.

Poor little dog, I think that's the 9th anaesthetic she's had in her 11 years on earth. I've decided it's the last one she'll ever have - no more dental surgery, no more spinal surgery, no more drugs to make her feel awful. She's sensitive to certain pain meds so apparently she's smacked up to her tits on methadone this time.

I feel bad for her.

BiteyShark · 27/06/2018 21:18

Oh poor Radiodog Sad. Mine takes a while to recover from anaesthetics as well as it always upsets his stomach for days.

Could you offer her a little of her food say every hour for a bit so as not to overfil her? Hope she feels better soon.

She's had three tiny portions of cold chicken, shredded up small, over a 4 hour period - all stayed down so far. She'll be okay, I just hate putting her through it - especially knowing that I probably could have done more to save her teeth. To be fair she wore them down and exposed the dentine at a young age, and you certainly can't get near her with a toothbrush...

RadioDorothy · 28/06/2018 06:56

All the chicken came up in the night. Sad

She's been for a 15 min walk this morning, and eaten half a scrambled egg with her 4 tablets. Poor old thing.

BiteyShark · 28/06/2018 07:05

Poor thing, it's so hard to see them feeling rough Sad
