Continuing Bitey's thread once more Smile

The thread to be, where puppies grow and we meet new doggie parenting challenges every day.

Hmmm. We had a better night (night 3) but a wee in the crate this am before we got to him (I suspect becuase he had slept better) but this am have already had 3 wees on the floor. Oh well.

bluetongue · 24/12/2017 11:46

Perfectly it’s a Heinz babyfood pouch with pumpkin, corn, chicken and rice. Some of the flavours that sounded good had onions so they were out. I have a dog door and Bluepuppy takes his chews and kongs outside this time of year (summer on Oz) so shouldn’t be too messy.

ZivaDiva · 24/12/2017 13:15

KinkyDoritowithsparkleson I pick up my new little bundle on Thursday and, like you am slightly nervous. I’ve got a 4 year old collie and he was really easy as a puppy but I still made mistakes which have resulted in difficulties with recall.
At least this time I’ve got the help of a brilliant trainer and I’ve got the absolute dogs ‘From pup to perfection’ dvd for help too. Bring it on.🎉🎉🎉Xmas SmileXmas Smile

KinkyDoritowithsparkleson · 24/12/2017 14:39

Ziva We're going on Thursday too! I'll have a look st the DVD. I found a guy on YouTube with some great videos.

Bitey Thanks Smile. He's a cross - a cockapoo. Hoping I can train him and he won't be daft as a box of frogs!!

BiteyShark · 24/12/2017 15:00

Dorito I only have experience of cockers and they are 'daft' but smart at the same time. Mine would run rings round me if I gave him an inch Grin

BiteyShark · 25/12/2017 06:28

Happy Christmas to all the pups, young and old from BiteyDog Xmas Grin

Abhorsen · 25/12/2017 06:42

Happy Christmas to biteydog - I hope the foot is doing ok and will keep my fingers crossed for less Vet visits next year!!

bluetongue · 25/12/2017 08:15

Happy Christmas Bitey pup and all the pups from Bluepuppy.

Babyfood kong was a success Grin I left Bluepuppy with it while I did main Christmas lunch. Then, seeing as I don’t live far away I drove home and brought him back to meet the family while we ate dessert. There were lots of ‘he’s so skinny’ comments. This is fair as he’s pretty much like a lanky teenage boy with hollow legs at the moment and can seemingly eat anything and stay thin. Apart from that he actually behaved pretty well and barely even tried to steal any food Shock

BiteyShark · 25/12/2017 11:24

blue we get the skinny comments as well but they vet says he's a great weight so I would just smile sweetly at them (and ignore Smile).

Festive dressing number 2 Xmas Grin

BiteyShark · 25/12/2017 11:25

Oops picture is on its side

BiteyShark · 25/12/2017 11:29

Abhorsen oh yes definitely wishing for less vet visits in 2018 Xmas Grin

bluetongue · 25/12/2017 11:40

With the skinny thing I would personally like him a bit more covered to be honest but at 10 months old I’m going to hope he fills out a bit more as he matures. He’s certainly bright and active.

Nice festive sock Bitey Grin

Wolfiefan · 25/12/2017 11:46

Happy Christmas to you all and all the pups. Mine is laughing her head off and switching between the new Kong jumbler ball and nylabone! Grin

BiteyShark · 25/12/2017 12:31

Haha I can imagine WolfieDog bouncing about and laughing at her gifts.

BiteyDog is flat out after the vet visit as he still 'remembers' being left there but once he has his mojo back some new toys will appear Grin

BluthsFrozenBananas · 25/12/2017 12:36

Happy Christmas to all the pups from Bananapup

BiteyShark · 25/12/2017 12:48

Wolfiefan · 25/12/2017 12:54

Wolfie is crashed out again. Nana is coming round soon so that'll wake her!

ZivaDiva · 25/12/2017 19:29

This was Finns present but we had to put it away as his girlfriend was here and she’ll shred it.Grin

BiteyShark · 26/12/2017 07:05

Ziva yes you don't want to risk it being shredded.

We survived another night with BiteyDog only taking a small chunk out of the top of his dressing. He has his angry going to bite it off moments but he chews off cones so that isn't an option. Just need to distract him enough that he forgets it for abit. Roll on tomorrow when we are back at our vets Grin

GetTheStartyParted · 26/12/2017 11:04

Merry Christmas pups and owners Xmas Smile I hope you all had a great day. Ours was lovely though pup has chewed one of her toys to pieces already and is scared of the other one! She must have been feeling left out this morning as the DC have piles of presents around the living room so she collected her old toys from around the house and made a pile in the centre of the living room Xmas Grin Hope BiteyDog is healing well.

Sofabitch · 26/12/2017 15:50

We went to stay with our friends that have 3 Labradors. Safe to say sofapup was scared shitless most of the first day. But pulled himself together by this morning.

I'm so exshausted...Christmas has had to be a military operation with no toy piece of paper or plastic bits left anywhere!

Its a good job he is cute.

BiteyShark · 26/12/2017 15:55

Get it's so disappointing when they manage to destroy the toy in seconds. Some of them are just rubbish even though they look tough.

Sofa I just remember trying to 'survive' Christmas last year Grin

Wolfiefan · 26/12/2017 16:11

Me too. We just about survivedast year.
Bitey we have a muzzle to stop her eating the foot. (As well as a comfy cone!)

BiteyShark · 26/12/2017 16:22

The comfy cone lasted about the same time as the vets plastic cone. Now he knows how to destroy them we have no hope.

I have contemplated a muzzle as we have one for emergencies but he's a strange dog in that he gets little bursts of anger with it but if we fight stop him he then 'forgets' and can be fine for hours. Really hoping we get good news tomorrow and have ordered some plastic boots from Amazon which I suspect we will have to use for a while when outside. Praying it's not infected and the glue has held in place for the healing.

Is WolfieDog leg still sore?
