Our puppy is fourteen weeks now - it's still a bit three steps forward, one hundred and sixteen steps backwards! Anyone else finding this?

She was supposed to be going in on thurs, but turns out she is younger than we first thought (don't flame me, I acquired her under exceptional circumstances), so taking her in then anyway to get a general check and getting advice. Tried feeding her biscuits soaked in water but she point blank refused to eat it, so back to the wet food this evening so she would at least eat something. Taken her for a stroll in the garden this evening, she was most put out by the rain! She is a bit nippy, but has settled in really quickly and is learning that its ok to pull on her chew toy but not on my hand/ankle/carpet. According to my research and friends' advice, to try and discourage the nips, you are supposed to lightly hold the nose and jaw together so mouth can't open, and say a short sharp no. That's what the mother would have done apparently. Prepared to be told I am barking (Grin) up the wrong tree on that one, but it is working for her. Must be doing something right?

How did the vet go?

Pup wasn't as bad at the nipping when he first arrived. It's got progressively worse as he is more into everything. Everyone seems to say different things on the nipping. We have been trying to distract with a toy, distract by going outside, squeal etc. Anything is worth a shot! I'm trying to get a one to one session is with our puppy class trainer ahead of the main sessions...

A rollercoaster of a week this week - explosive diarrhoea wednesday night, then this morning I actually had to wake him. He'd slept right through!!!!!!!!! No moaning at all. Not from the DC, pup or the cat. Heaven is an uninterrupted night's sleep. We woke up in shock that it was our alarms waking us up and no one else. Bliss.

Vet was ace and gorgeous said pup was in good health despite her young aggressive. MIcro chipped her, and put some industrial strength de fleaing shit on the back of neck... She is now sleeping and trying to get over her ordeal. But she was extremely good!

9 month old labradoodle puppy owner here and he is lovely but despite 3/4 walks per day all off the lead he saves it all up and does it when he is back inside. No matter how long we are out for its done inside mainly in one place. Tried everything suggested and vet says there is nothing physically wrong with him.

Rest of training has been a breeze and such a sociable dog.
