Ooh Scottie showed well, as is saluki, ooh poodle too (malamute not so much) Maltese is sweet.

Flatcoat please !

Koalafications · 08/03/2015 20:49

How sweet is the Maltese. Looks so happy.

Koalafications · 08/03/2015 20:49

Oh nooooooo! Sad

GoofyIsACow · 08/03/2015 20:50

Ahh lovely, the owner of the flatcoat was really shocked!

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 08/03/2015 20:50

SistersOfPercy!!!!!! Grin

aton well Dublin came second!

Catsrus · 08/03/2015 20:50

Scottie showed well - really pleased the flattie got some recognition

Koalafications · 08/03/2015 20:52

Glad the flat coat came second. do not like that Scottie though

Catsrus · 08/03/2015 20:56

The Scottie did show well - but IMO not as well as the FC - but I'm biased. My own FC was not at all interested in watching the final - he went back to his sofa in the kitchen!

emmelinelucas · 08/03/2015 21:11

I think the maltese looks like a winner, they always have a kind of star quality that shines through, I think.
My favourites are the terriers and hounds, but I like them all.

LottieMumofWilfJenkins · 08/03/2015 21:12

Wilf became FB friends with Knopa last night so he will be ecstatic!!

slalomsuki · 08/03/2015 21:22

We were playing the game at home too.

Got the Scottie but didn't get the flat coat. Thought the maltese or the beardie would have got it.

emmelinelucas · 08/03/2015 21:28

I wonder if Dionyssus was one of the people in the crowd being interviewed ? wouldn't that be great !
I didn't know you could facebook a dog (am not on it) but how exciting it must be for a youngster ! Smile

emmelinelucas · 08/03/2015 21:31

wish I was there. the atmosphere must be amazing

emmelinelucas · 08/03/2015 21:35

The saluki moves like a ballet dancer - beautiful
perky little maltese.
Loving this

hmc · 08/03/2015 21:43

Delighted that the flat coat came second (although should have come first). Relieved that the walking shag pile wasn't placed

atonofwashing · 08/03/2015 21:53

Sisters - heh heh, yes he did! I don't often get that sort of thing right!
Well done, Dublin.

I thought the Maltese might have won.

Saluki was gorgeous.

Shame it's all over, oh well. Just have to start preparing my parents daft, sorry, highly intelligent springers for crufts 2016. NOT!!! Hahaha....

emmelinelucas · 08/03/2015 21:55

I would have bet on the maltese (not that I know anything about breed standards)
The scotties handler was irritating to watch
I thought the flat coat was the kind of dog I would like to take home. Couldn't cope with all the grooming some entail.

atonofwashing · 08/03/2015 22:04

Yes, I agree, All that brushing was borderline OCD.
Was it the winning scotties handler who combed his hair and then stuck the comb back in her own hair? Yuk.

Catsrus · 08/03/2015 22:06

Flat coats are great dogs to live with unless you get pissed off by eternal optimists - always hopeful and alert for the possibility of food, walk, play or affection Grin. I love them, but some people find them too demanding.

Catsrus · 08/03/2015 22:08

The scotties hair was probably cleaner and had been given more attention than the handlers though Smile

atonofwashing · 08/03/2015 22:21

Catsrus - very true !

emmelinelucas · 08/03/2015 22:27

I live with DH. A flatcoat sounds like a doddle.Grin

basildonbond · 08/03/2015 22:38

I love optimistic dogs Smile. We always say that if Ddog kept a diary every single entry would begin: 'BEST DAY EVER!!!!'

SistersOfPercy · 08/03/2015 22:45

Surprised you all didn't hear the screech of joy from the Percy house tonight.
As I sat and watched perfectly groomed knopa I had a very stretched out, snoring murph on my knee who's beard was literally full of the Sunday lamb lunch he'd just eaten. As I picked bits of mint sauce out of his whiskers I realised he's never going to be a show dog Grin

Really happy, though I hope this doesn't lead to an explosion of inexperienced Scottie owners, they are stubborn little terriers and not for someone who wants the latest fad dog. Also, anyone else wanting knopa's handler to put down the brush and give her a bloody big hug!?

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 08/03/2015 23:03

Yes I thought that! Grin Stop brushing, you've won already.

Probably didn't know what the hell was going on. You wouldn't, would you? Grin
