Should I reopen the happy place cafe?

I'm often awake in the night, today was a lie in for me, only properly awake since 4am.

In lockdown I opened, 'the happy place café where I would make virtual breakfasts and people would come to chat.

When it was last opened my French pastry chef Florence had married Fernando the cocktail waiter.

The kitten bees are inside because it is too old but the bumble cats are in the garden as usual.

SO should I reopen or was just something for lockdown?

Phew, I see the pancakes are on the menu!

Hello, can I come?
I've been off sick from work for ages with covid complications and my sleep schedule is all over the place (along with my mental health) I'm also feeling very anxious about going back to work on Friday.

I only want a teeny bit of chocolate. Is there anything savoury?

Will there be a bit of outdoor seating OP? Apologies if this has already been mentioned, I haven’t had chance to read every post yet. I’ll pop by on the way home after my walk. A pot of tea for me and a bowl of water for my dog please. She’s very well behaved and I’m sure she’ll be fascinated by the Kitten Bees 🐝

@Lizzy1980 There is outside heating and fairly lights if you don't want to come in. Well behaved doggos are welcome and as well as water I can hand over some dog biscuits

@TokyoSushi Have they said there is an alternative flight? I'll pop some brandy in your hot chocolate.

Thanks @sashh brandy most welcome! No alternative offered just an email asking if we still need to travel?! Well seeing as we're in Austria and we live in the UK, that would be a yes!

Hello, please may I join in? A frothy hot chocolate and bacon sandwich would be amazing please. I have developed an annoying habit of waking at this time and then worrying about work, the dc, the universe so I'd appreciate the distraction. Do you have any magazines or can I play with a kitten bee? I do have a fluffy cat purring on me now which is quite sweet.

Yes have insurance & credit card so will be able to sort one way or another!

Brandy hot chocolate sounds good as well. I have had some breakfast (very unsophisticated sausages, chips and beans) so I don't need to order food from the menu

Good morning @sashh, me and my Dcat spent many happy hours in your cafe during lockdown it's good to see it open again.
I would love to settle on one of the huge beanbags but I don't think I will be able to get back up .

Can I have a bacon and egg buttie , a strong black coffee and a hlass of grapefruit juice please.

I'm up wide awake and have my coat on as was in the garden for some "fresh air", so I'll have a wee seat outside. I've got a decaff coffee in my hand and your fairy lights are beautifully twinkling.

A brandy hot chocolate would be most welcome over here too please.

Hello, I'm so glad I found this place. It's delightful. I've not slept more than 4 hours the past 2 nights, increase in medication plus depression. Possibly peri-menopause too. I'd love to sit outside with a big fluffy blanket and look at the fairy lights and listen for the birds waking up with a hot cup of milky tea and some thick toast with loads of butter! Then maybe a pancake and Nutella. Can't wait to meet the kitten bees

It's so lovely to see some of the old timers and it is also lovely to see new comers.

I'm just going to make hot chocolates and send Fernando round with a selection of spirits to add to them.

Florence is making a selection of chocolate cakes.

This seems like the haven I've been looking for no sleep here due to being on strong steroids and coughing all night.

Might I be able to ask for a ginger, lemon, and paprika shot to boost my immune system up, please?

And the fat cat has just come in with wet paws, and is wondering if she needs to bring a mouse to get in?

The cat is welcome, the rug in front of the fire is probably the best place to dry paws.

A cheese and ham pancake sounds delightful, thank you. I'd rather have an Irish coffee instead of hot choc if Fernando doesn't mind.

I'm sitting outside under a heater listening to the birds starting to sing and watching the sky lighten.

Doggo finally got pissed of enough at my coughing he's left my bed....
