Should I reopen the happy place cafe?

I'm often awake in the night, today was a lie in for me, only properly awake since 4am.

In lockdown I opened, 'the happy place café where I would make virtual breakfasts and people would come to chat.

When it was last opened my French pastry chef Florence had married Fernando the cocktail waiter.

The kitten bees are inside because it is too old but the bumble cats are in the garden as usual.

SO should I reopen or was just something for lockdown?

Ice Age can indeed go on the screen.

I think we need to continue with ice cream and the ice bar but I will add parfait, water ice, sorbet and granita.

Florence has made an array of open sandwiches with summer in mind so cucumber, smoked salmon, tomato and pickles.

Well it is still warm so I think we can go for fruit teas, hot or cold and iced coffee.

I'll lay out a mezze of stuffed vine leaves, hummus, pita, salad, chickpea salad, couscous and olives.

There are flavoured gins and flavoured tonics in the ice bar, Florence is making nibbles of cheese straws, bread sticks and crackers.

Wow, the layout in here has changed since my last visit. Looks like you've extended the garden quite a bit to fit the pool in. And now we're all lounging about outside, I suddenly have no idea whether it's daylight or not. From what I can see, there's daylight streaming in the front windows, but it's dark out the back with the projector.

I'm not ready for breakfast yet because I haven't slept at all yet, but I'll have a nibble on a cheese straw or two, thank you.

Help yourself @fivetriangulartrees What film should I put on the big screen? I think something cold themed, but what?

Morning, morning. I'll take a pot luck fruity tea, not really fussed which one I get and I'll pair it with some pita and hummus please.

Theres a shady cool spot in the corner that looks nice, I'll settle myself there if anybody needs me.

I'm hoping to have a snooze soon, so I won't have a coffee. Can I have a granita and a lie down on one of the sun loungers to watch the film?

Still too hot to cook so I'm just going to put ut a continental food buffet.

Ham, sausage, cooked meats, a variety of cheeses, fruit, yoghurt and fruit juices.

Ooh, lovely. I like a continental breakfast. I've given up on sleeping now so I'll have a gallon of coffee with full fat milk and I'll help myself to some cheeses, cured meats and German bread. Lovely! I might hang around here near the pool as it's pretty hot where I am.

I'm going to have to nip to the shop as 3.5 year old has eaten all the salami...(she adores it, and Stilton for some reason...).

The Happy Place Cafe has definitely provided a welcome respite from all the troubles in the world..it's wonderful to know it exists and there's always good food and conversation and Happy people and animals to brighten my day.
Thank you for reopening it and the effort you've put into keeping it open even when you've been unwell and in the midst of studying and sitting for an exam.

It's almost 1.30am in my part of the world, it's cooler tonight than it has been for a while so me and aggro cat ( safely in cage ) are sat outside looking at the stars and enjoying a coffee.

Has Florence got Mr Whippy, I fancy that with some yummy toppings!

Well it is finally getting a little cooler so I'm going to add bacon butties to the buffet.

Florence has baked some scones, cheese, plain and fruit. Fernando is making champagne cocktails.

Just feeling low again and nothing seems to lift me out of the funk. Going to contact my GP. They seem keen to give me meds but wanting to avoid this where possible and go through therapy first

It's so hard when you're feeling low...it sounds like visiting your GP is a good idea for you.
