struggling with not judging leon's mother taking a wheelchair 700 yards to school to pick him up

I really can't understand people who ignore blindingly obvious health warnings.

Why is the mum so keen to fee Leon now he's home from school?

that is quite a big plate of food though, or is it not? What should a 5 year old eat??

Do feel sorry for Leon's mum - she is a bit deluded but thinks she's doing right and needs help.

I don't think Leon's Doctor is really getting the message through, he needs to be really specific about what she needs to do in terms of diet and exercise.

We have gone in a couple of generations from ricketts to obesity. Both equally life limiting.

People don't listen to the doctors though, I've seen them myself, they have a consultation where they state that they don't smoke, then they are outside smoking. Patients lie, it's really common.

Surely it would be cheaper to get these kids a personal trainer every day + counselling than a stomach stapling op?
