I am so excited I am literally sitting here bouncing after watching the 2nd trailer

It's OK I know I'm sad, especially as I really want the "Gene says relax" T-Shirt

Do you think Gene had something to do with the murder of the PC who keeps appearing to Alex and whose body I reckon was being discovered on News 24 when Alex came back round?

Thediaryofanobody · 02/04/2010 22:32

Lunar: I don't know what he was in but I recognize him too, for some reason I'm thinking or was something set in the 1950's or some period drama.

nigglewiggle · 02/04/2010 22:37

Daniel Mays. I remember him from Plus One (Channel 4 comedy) and I'm sure he was in Red Riding.

DH says he was in Atonement - is that what you are thinking of TDOAN?

jenduff · 02/04/2010 22:40

So confused by everything but loving it nonetheless.

Slimy bloke played a slimy bloke in Hustle a while back - or at least thats where we remember him from

boogywoogy · 02/04/2010 22:42

He is in the new Nanny McPhee film

Drusilla · 02/04/2010 22:44

He was in Vera Drake too

TigersChick · 02/04/2010 22:51

jenduff - I saw him in Hustle too - I was worried when I thought that he might be a 'good guy' as I simply can't take to him! Glad he's turned out to be a bit of a swine

SGB - she was shot by Gene and was in a coma in 1982 but 'awake' in 2009 ... but she was having flashbacks/visions from 1982 ... then Gene went into her hospital room and slapped her round the face and she woke up 3 months after she went into the coma; so it's now 1983 ... I think

Really enjoyed this episode and can't wait til next week!!

Anniek · 02/04/2010 22:52

I think young dead copper will end up being Gene Hunt...somehow And Alex will save him, and therefore they can be together in 2010.. or I could just be desperate for them to get together

Was watching on HD and had a fit about it not on for two weeks due to the golf may have insulted Tiger Woods only slightly less than I imagine his wife has done recently.

Before DH checked and realised it is still on regular BBC next week

And furthermore, what are they doing playing "Walking On Sunshine"?! That didn't come out until 1985!

BitOfFun · 02/04/2010 23:00

I thought that too, UQD!

Who did Electric Avenue? Have been racking my brains...

UnquietDad · 02/04/2010 23:05

BoF, it was Eddy Grant. That is from 1983, so that's OK.

BitOfFun · 02/04/2010 23:06

Who remembers how Sam died in the eighties? And how? I have forgotten...

DP said Eddy Grant, but I thought it sounded too Brookside!

nigglewiggle · 02/04/2010 23:08

Oh, perhaps it was Sam's body they were digging up on News 24?

According to Wiki "walking on Sunshine" was on a KATW 1983 album.

I just hope she doesn't believe every negative thing everyone tells her about Gene again like she did last season!
