I am so excited I am literally sitting here bouncing after watching the 2nd trailer

It's OK I know I'm sad, especially as I really want the "Gene says relax" T-Shirt

tHE Gene in a coma theory has been common since the beginning of series 2. Not sure what I think of it now, I'm much more into the metaphysical ideas.

But I'm still not guessing because I know I'll be disppointed.

Love the idea of Gene in a coma, don't liek the idea of astronauts - and really don't like the fact I have days to wait and they keep showing the trailer!!!! arrgggghh [ running round holding head emoticon!]

apparently, according to sources, we've guessed some 80% of it, but no one has guessed it all. The joy of fandom.

I'm really going to miss the LoM/A2A experience, it's been so much fun.

I have to say Ladies, I think you're amazing. I lack any ability to see any other POV than the main characters so find your theories well impressive.

I think the dead copper looks a bit like Chris but isn't. I do wonder why Chris hasn't had his moment, but the creators have said that everyone has their own story resolved.

But I'm only secondarily interested in the big picture for now - I want to see Gene and Alex kiss [shallow]

I stand corrected!! Also, I missed the whole of series 2 (still in mourning for Sam Tyler, couldn't face it) so didn't realise the 'Gene is in a coma' had been said before.

I deffo think the old copper is NOT Chris, HAS to be Gene...

I think the copper will be something to do with Gene's early time in the Police force. Maybe he'll have disappeared or something and Gene knew something about it.

The Gene in a coma thing came about because of the beginning of series two and Martin Summers in a bed, I think. It's still a good theory.

I think we're all bringing pieces of the jigsaw to the table, it's just only the creators have the lid to the box

I'm just pleased that other people think it is possible and I am not therefore a raving loon!

I've had a thought - my dad is blind and therefore "watches" the show with audio description. I wonder if they've picked out anything we've missed?!

A big clue was planted early on in the series.

And the very last scene?
Matthew: ?It?s in black and white, and the last thing you see is the word ?Police?.?

Off to watch ep3 again then...

But who is the dead body Alex has been looking for?? Not little Sammy Tyler????

Watched ep 1 from this series again - the dead cop is SO gene. Look at the lip thing he's doing. Also, who else could it possibly be that would make it worth continuing the theme of the dead cop through every episode.

Did anyone notice in one of the eps (4?) after shaz had doodled the stars, alex joined the dots on her doodle to form '6620'

Sam isn't in the cast list for next week though . Says 'in shadow'. humph.

Yep I'm fairly sure it's young Gene, killed whilst on duty. Thing is, if he's in a coma in 2010 (alternative theory), why all the shots of him in Heartbeat mode? oh I dunno. Anyway, it's in the stars, next July week we collide with Mars..

Don't know if anyone watched frame-by-frame noticed, but in the shot of Chris, Shaz and Ray in the field, it very much looks like Chris is in a modern(ish) suit.

They wouldn't put Sam in the cast list, though, would they? It would spoil everything. I'm still hoping he makes an appearance.
