The name Lily is written on the road right at the start of the episode when they are driving to catch the 2 blokes with the porn. Is this name significant? Or am i seeing things?

Was Lily Alex's mums name ? Or am I getting mixed up with Harry Potter ?

What white poster??? And what was Ray's significant line to Gene? I thought it might be the 'as dead I well may be' line?

I think Gene told Bevan he was going to Hell (or similar).
I love the limbo/coma/Gene as gatekeeper idea. Esp now Ray has seen "The Edge of the World" too.

I thought the "I am dead as dead may well be" line was a clue, but perhaps it was there to throw us.

I'm forming a new theory - perhaps we are still in Sam's reality. Maybe he is still in the coma and has introduced Alex to rescue himself?
I am going with that or that Gene is the one in the coma.

I'm not all that bothered by the underlying messages, just enjoy the ride. As it were. Am slightly disturbed by how many of my old clothes they seem to have dug out for Bolly, though. It's making me feel OLD.

Read this thread last week in attempt to figure out what is going on & now even more confused. Did I need to watch LOM? (because I didn't) Are the people who see stars dead - or everyone? God, feel so thick!

Biddy, don't let yourself feel thick, the point is to wallow in all the uncertainties and possibilities .

Apologies if you've discussed this before, but does anyone else find this series a bit disjointed? I can't work out if it is intentional or not but lots of the dialogue seems very stilted, especially when Jim Keats is involved. I'm not enjoying these episodes as much as Series 1. Dp thinks I'm just imagining it, but I would be interested to find out if there's a different writer/director/editor involved.

I always think of the actor playing Lytton as 'the one from Press Gang'...

Next week I will try watching without the two glasses of red wine and see if that helps...until then I will continue to wallow!

Clayhead - I agree! He will always be the lad from Press Gang. I loved that show!

If they are all dead, how come the others don't go on about 'getting back' like Alex does and Sam did in his time? Also, if they are all dead, how come they can interact with the world outside? Newsagents/traffic wardens etc?

DH thinks Sam is going to turn up. He keeps on saying "they never found the body", which is true.
