I am so excited I am literally sitting here bouncing after watching the 2nd trailer

It's OK I know I'm sad, especially as I really want the "Gene says relax" T-Shirt

OP posts:
KayHarker · 30/04/2010 22:15

hate Keats, he ruins all my lovely gene/alex moments and he's all slimy and sweaty. Don't trust him alex!

NanBullen · 30/04/2010 22:21

The name Lily is written on the road right at the start of the episode when they are driving to catch the 2 blokes with the porn. Is this name significant? Or am i seeing things?

KayHarker · 30/04/2010 22:22

everything is significant

I noticed it too - upside down and sort of painted out.

Tillyboo · 30/04/2010 22:23

Was Lily Alex's mums name ? Or am I getting mixed up with Harry Potter ?

HinnyPet · 30/04/2010 22:25

Did you see the white poster of Ray as well?

fartmeistergeneral · 30/04/2010 22:28

What white poster??? And what was Ray's significant line to Gene? I thought it might be the 'as dead I well may be' line?

Nymphadora · 30/04/2010 22:35

where was the white poster?

NanBullen · 30/04/2010 22:35

Oooooh, I spotted a proper clue! Get me!

Just wish i knew what it meant

Beveridge · 30/04/2010 22:36

I have to get a babysitter for Friday 21st of May. Sky Plus or no Sky Plus, I will not be able to BEAR any interruptions.

This is the best telly in years

Nymphadora · 30/04/2010 22:38

Just realised am out next week

MadameOvary · 30/04/2010 22:41

The music was fantastic, where have I seen Lytton (sp) before? Eastenders?
Loved the Sapphire and Steel line
I think Gene told Bevan he was going to Hell (or similar).
I love the limbo/coma/Gene as gatekeeper idea. Esp now Ray has seen "The Edge of the World" too.

CaveMum · 30/04/2010 22:51

I thought the "I am dead as dead may well be" line was a clue, but perhaps it was there to throw us.

I'm forming a new theory - perhaps we are still in Sam's reality. Maybe he is still in the coma and has introduced Alex to rescue himself?
I am going with that or that Gene is the one in the coma.

Says the girl who "got" the twist in The Sixth Sense about 10 seconds before the reveal!

KayHarker · 30/04/2010 22:59

They're all dead already. they just don't know it yet.

edam · 30/04/2010 23:08

That's a cheery thought, Kay!

I'm not all that bothered by the underlying messages, just enjoy the ride. As it were. Am slightly disturbed by how many of my old clothes they seem to have dug out for Bolly, though. It's making me feel OLD.

KayHarker · 30/04/2010 23:11

cheery thoughts my speciality, edam

I bought a stripy red top today and thought of Alex.

shergar · 30/04/2010 23:12

I'm with KayHarker - they're all dead!

edam · 30/04/2010 23:15

If I ever see Alex in a stripey black and beige top like the one I thought was so very sophisticated in 1986 I shall be extremely worried indeed.

biddyofsuburbia · 30/04/2010 23:25

MadamOvary Lytton was Owen in Eastenders No?

biddyofsuburbia · 30/04/2010 23:27

Read this thread last week in attempt to figure out what is going on & now even more confused. Did I need to watch LOM? (because I didn't) Are the people who see stars dead - or everyone? God, feel so thick!

HighFibreDiet · 01/05/2010 01:10

Biddy, don't let yourself feel thick, the point is to wallow in all the uncertainties and possibilities .

Apologies if you've discussed this before, but does anyone else find this series a bit disjointed? I can't work out if it is intentional or not but lots of the dialogue seems very stilted, especially when Jim Keats is involved. I'm not enjoying these episodes as much as Series 1. Dp thinks I'm just imagining it, but I would be interested to find out if there's a different writer/director/editor involved.

Clayhead · 01/05/2010 08:20

I always think of the actor playing Lytton as 'the one from Press Gang'...

[shows age]

biddyofsuburbia · 01/05/2010 08:33

Next week I will try watching without the two glasses of red wine and see if that helps...until then I will continue to wallow!

wintera · 01/05/2010 08:46

Clayhead - I agree! He will always be the lad from Press Gang. I loved that show!

fartmeistergeneral · 01/05/2010 08:48

If they are all dead, how come the others don't go on about 'getting back' like Alex does and Sam did in his time? Also, if they are all dead, how come they can interact with the world outside? Newsagents/traffic wardens etc?

CaveMum · 01/05/2010 08:55

DH thinks Sam is going to turn up. He keeps on saying "they never found the body", which is true.
