I am so excited I am literally sitting here bouncing after watching the 2nd trailer

It's OK I know I'm sad, especially as I really want the "Gene says relax" T-Shirt

I have this written in my diary:

Ashes to Ashes, episode 5, watch out for a line from Ray about Gene.

Unfortunately I can't remember why I wrote it but I seem to remember it was going to be something significant.

why, have you seen the episode?

I prefer LoM but then I'm a late 70s punk-era teenager. Just find it darker and more edgy. And the style references less in your face. Gene is funnier too - if fatter! Sometimes Ashes a bit like an extended 80s Martini ad/animated Face mag with added extra 'clues'. But still watching - hope we get a good underlying story tonight.

No, I haven't seen the episode but I vaguely remember reading something online about a significant line in episode 5. Can't find it now though.

I'll try and watch out for what it might be tonight.

I assume you all noticed that Ray said that he felt like they were "like astronauts" when he saw the stars...

I'm really hoping this is a red herring.

Did anyone spot Rays line about Gene?

BelleDame, me too. My blood ran a bit cold when he said that. They really couldn't recycle the US ending. It would have to be career ruining, wouldn't it?

Was a bit of a pointed bit of "Danny Boy" they focussed on, but who knows what the clues are and which are the red herrings.

I would love to know what Gene said to what's-his-name after he'd been shot.

It'll be a red herring, they're not astronauts. Quite what they are I don't know - but I am very curious to know what Gene told to Bevan after he shot him to get that reaction.

I think someone is for the jump at some point in this last three episodes, I just can't work out who - maybe Chris as he hasn't had his 'Life on Mars' and seeing stars moment.
