It has just started and I am in two minds to watch this.

I am finding it hard as I have been trying to concieve a child for five years and have had four miscarriages - am I the only one who finds this annoying woman totally ungrateful for the precious children that she has

OP posts:

mmmh didn't look so happy did she as she pronunced her 'perfect' life.

JollyPirate · 04/02/2010 21:59

Miserable? She looks rich and dissatisfied to me - wonder what her focus has moved on to now?

Suburbanite · 04/02/2010 21:59

She refused to msrry her OH until he ''gave her a girl''???

She's trapped in some weird Disney fantasy world - check out that wedding dress!

paisleyleaf · 04/02/2010 21:59

Cross that she's gone to have a cry about the negative pregnancy test right where her lad is sat on the bed.

And easy for twins-mum to say "if you really want it you can have it"

I want to shoot Nicola... I really do. She seems vile...

houseworkhater · 04/02/2010 22:00

I don't like that Nicola woman either.
Agree angle about the lack of class, is it just me who thought she looked abot 25 years too old to be wearing that wedding dress!!!!!

saggyhairyarse · 04/02/2010 22:00

What are her redeeming features????

And the DH must be pretty spineless "We have all this and you won't marry me unless I give you a girl".

gaelicsheep · 04/02/2010 22:00

I think if I'd seen this programme during the 4 years I was ttc any baby, I'd have been throwing things at the TV. Or more likely dissolving into floods of tears.

No that is awful..... "that's it game over" - I really felt for that little boy sat there

expatinscotland · 04/02/2010 22:02

oh, i think nicola is happy.

a bitch, but happy.

refused to marry the bloke until she got a girl.

methinks she was the one with all the money.

i feel for the one who lost her baby girl, i think that was her motivation.

but the rest of them were a bit saddo.

ruddynorah · 04/02/2010 22:02

the first woman is going to want to smack nicola round the head isn't she?

I reckon twin mum will run off with the gardener .

Feelingoptimistic · 04/02/2010 22:03

I found that comment about how "you can have it" really upsetting. I have a beautiful DC but would love another more than anything else in the world - but that will probably never happen now.

pinkchampagne · 04/02/2010 22:06

That Nicola woman was awful. She had 4 sons, yet there were no clips with them in, just her shopping for expensive clothes & make up with her twin daughters, and as for the refusing to marry her DH until he "gave her a daughter"

SomeGuy · 04/02/2010 22:06

no way nicola is happy, she has no goals, nothing to achieve. She's miserable.

chubbasmum · 04/02/2010 22:07

very selffish and self centred women the other one told her partner i wont marry you until you give me a baby girl some people are never happy. i remember when i fell pregnant after my miscarriage i didnt care what i had i was just happy to be pregnant and having a baby

fadingfast · 04/02/2010 22:11

I was left wondering what first attracted Nicola to her multi-millionaire husband?

nigglewiggle · 04/02/2010 22:12

I think she liked his orange toupee.

stressed2007 · 04/02/2010 22:16

I must be the only one reading these posts but I felt sorry for these woman. I would dearly love another child (unlikely) and I was crying along with these ladies tonight. I would love any child - they are just desperate for a particular child - it isn't so different really.

Docbunches · 04/02/2010 22:17

fadingfast, I agree...... as soon as I saw the husband, I immediately thought Trophy Wife.

Slartybartfast · 04/02/2010 22:21

me too stressed, the michelle woman, although i cannot understand the wanting a girl stuff,
what do i know, i had a boy, then a girl, then another girl... but i liked her, i hope she can get the cloud of unhappiness away from her.
couldnt understand the american couple, why not go naturally.
i too could not understand why only the girl embryo was implanted. wicked.
the otehr woman who had been trying for a year and was 43, she seemed fairly balanced

the nicola woman
how weird, and her wedding dress, belle, from beauty and the beast, crappiness. husband with the red toupe, more crap.
she i agree, will be shagging the gardener.

Janus · 04/02/2010 22:24

Oh, I know of 'Nicola' (from my old home town). Actually, her husband was married to someone else originally and they had an affair and I even think one of the boys may be from his first marriage. He owned a successful company and sold up making millions. Several years older than her but I think she saw his potential! He is loaded though which enables her to 'get what she wants' which is really bloody insenstive as most people cannot ever afford the treatment she had.
I have 3 dds and have a desire for one more but whatever sex it may be, I just want one more. On the other hand, my best friend has 3 boys and has a very real desire to have a girl and it has been really difficult for her not to have one so I really do sympathise, sometimes feelings just cannot be controlled.
