It has just started and I am in two minds to watch this.

I am finding it hard as I have been trying to concieve a child for five years and have had four miscarriages - am I the only one who finds this annoying woman totally ungrateful for the precious children that she has

They do, don't they Mrs Morgan. I quite liked that American house, in an east coast kind of way.

MissTFied · 04/02/2010 21:52

I can't believe how blase the American woman was about discarding the 5 male embryos.

houseworkhater · 04/02/2010 21:52

I don't think it should be allowed (choosing the sex) it is not the way nature intended and I can't help wondering what will be next.

Choosing the baby's eye and hair colour along with build and height?

As an aside what if the baby girl turns out wanting to be a tomboy and not a bit interested in pink "girlie" things. I doubt whether the parents would be too pleased with that senario.

paisleyleaf · 04/02/2010 21:52

I'd thought that too, about that mansion and being used to having what you want.

It's not just their partners and children who are long suffering, but the grandparents and friends are all involved too.

MrsMorgan · 04/02/2010 21:52

Angel - Yes, it seems like money can buy some people exactly what they want.

My first pregnancy was twins but I lost one. I never really think about it until I see people like that.

How awful as well to hear the american doctor check with that lady that she wanted the other embryos discarding.

MissTFied · 04/02/2010 21:53

ruddynorah - I thought the same. Why can't people learn you can't always get what you want?

amelied · 04/02/2010 21:54

Lubyloo me too...

OP posts:
Katz · 04/02/2010 21:54

i was wondering what would happen if the test was wrong and the embryo they have just implanted turned out to be a boy

MrsMorgan · 04/02/2010 21:54

I sense a big 'but' coming with the rich lady. She still seems miserable.

SomeGuy · 04/02/2010 21:55

my god that woman can buy whatever she wants.

moodlum · 04/02/2010 21:55

she is loaded isn't she.

I don't like Nicola. Sorry, but she seems so farking shallow.

paisleyleaf · 04/02/2010 21:56

"Nicola had refused to marry her partner until he gave her a girl"

MissTFied · 04/02/2010 21:56

What?! She refused to marry him until she had a girl?

Moo!

nicola - doesn't seem happy to me

angel1976 · 04/02/2010 21:57

That rich woman... The twin girls seem so spoilt and wearing make-up at aged 6? And the wedding... Money can buy you anything but class! And where are her boys in the programme? So sad for them...

MrsMorgan · 04/02/2010 21:57

I refuse to believe that Nicola is happy, she looks so miserable.

MrsChemist · 04/02/2010 21:57

Choosing the sex is a bit Gattaca isn't it?

SomeGuy · 04/02/2010 21:57

Botoxed was she?

I bet she isn't

gaelicsheep · 04/02/2010 21:57

That woman doesn't have two daughters, she has two princess dolls to go with her princess fantasy life. Weird.

Heated · 04/02/2010 21:57

Her wedding dress is just like little girl's fancy dress.

Lol at the idea of doing clothes and make-up shopping with my dd! More chance with ds.

NorbertDentressangle · 04/02/2010 21:58

She might have the money but she doesn't have any taste in wedding dresses. It looked red and yellow to me

ruddynorah · 04/02/2010 21:58

her wedding dress is vile.
