Merrylegs - different timelines. There were two different timelines in tonight's episode. The scenes in LA were from the one where flight 815 landed safely at LAX, and the ones on the island is where 815 didn't.

The Sun and Jin scene was just so poignant. After everything they've been through on that island, for it end up that way through - what? just accidental? collateral damage? But there was one Kwon name in the cave not crossed through, so what happens now?

The pacing of these last few episodes is extraordinary. I have the sense that each episode has the same sort of pace as previous ones, but at the same time there's an underlying sense of greater momentum. It's like the characters gradually becoming aware of the sound of the smoke monster.

How I cried.... I was barely recovered from Sayid being good again and sacrificing himself for his friends when Jin and Sun die. And then when Jack tells the others and they start crying I was sobbing too.

Good job DH was in bed when I watched it he would have been rather concerned!

Merrylegs re Locke there are two 'parallel universe' stories for him. In his original flashback he's a loser, Helen is a girl he stalks and his father is a bastard who develops a fake relationship with him to get a kidney(!) and then throws him out of the window.
In the new parallel reality (the one where Jack has a son etc) he obviously had a loving relationship with his dad.

I'm a bit more over the spoiler now! Thanks for reporting the post I should have done so but didn't know about rules and such and thought I was overreacting but let's face it for those of us who have invested 100 hours in this it's a big deal!

The off island is not moving quite as quickly how are they all going to end up together? If that's going to happen.

Agree it was so sad at the end when Hurley, Kate and Jack broke down on the beach. I think Jin might actually have survived though, as uglymugly says there was still one "Kwon" written in the cave. I think he hung on with Sun til she died, then we saw their hands letting go and I think he'll have managed to escape. Also, did anyone notice Jin in the hospital walking past Locke, carrying a bunch of yellow flowers?

Also, for noble Sayid. Not only did he sacrifice himself, but he obviously didn't bump off fabulous Desmond even though not-Locke had ordered him to. Actually, I reckon not-Locke knew Sayid had disobeyed him which is why he let him go on the sub knowing it was a death sentence.

I'm normally a Sawyer girl, but I have to say I think Jack looks completely blardy gorgeous in a suit and shirt .

the one Kwon name refers to their daughter...

Oh, I bawled at the Sun and Jin ending . I really thought they would get out, somehow.

Do you think jack was right, and if Sawyer hadn't touched the bomb it wouldn't have harmed them???

Not sure about the bomb, Sawyer obviously didn't want to take Jack's word for it after he'd managed to get Juliet blown up.

I think Jack was right- Locke can't kill them otherwise he would have done it himself.

Re Sayid- Betty I don't think Locke knows Desmond is still alive.
Not sure if only the people on the list have to die or all the original 815 survivors.

It's all very confusing... I also remembered that nice pilot man died in the sub. I was so busy mourning for Sayid Jin and Sun that I'd forgotten about him. RIP pilot who looked a character from a Burt Reynolds movie (I love Sawyer's descriptions)

It was weird though when not-Locke said to Claire something about knowing that not all of them had been killed on the sub, like he's the all-seeing eye sort of thing. DH and I thought this would mean that he'd also know that Desmond was still alive.

I thought Lapidus (Burt Reynolds pilot) was one of the first to get off the sub? Can't be sure though.

"It's all very confusing..." . That should be the tagline for the whole box set when it comes out.

BT i thought the pilot got off too, but he wasnt on the beach

we will have to wait and see......arrghhhh

Burt Reynolds got knocked out when the sub door blew up in his face.

We didn't see him after that but we have to assume he died.

Can anyone tell me when it's repeated - I completely forgot to record it last night (we don't have Sky + so can't series link....)!

It's on again tonight on sky 2 I think, either 8 or 9pm.

panic its always on tuesdays on sky 2 but usually quite late 11pm or midnight.
