I can honestly say that we voted for team Cola in this house because we think he did so well and made so much progress.

Ricky is a good dancer, but not very exciting to watch, and nowhere near as much prgress or effort amde IMO.

Skin colour had absolutely no bearing in my decision of who to vote for or not. This is not a racial decision

lol - only stirring! I do think it is a real shame though that a truly talented dancer lost out to someone who tried hard but was still a bit average. The fact that some people on this thread voted 50 times makes me really sad.

but team cola were FAR more entertaining. N & R were better technically but not as good as storytellers. Roll on next years...

It is entertainment. It is a bit of telly fun, not some serious competition.

Lononone, i'm the first person to point out any racism,but in this case i believe that people simply preferred Chris to Ricky and judging from the posts on mumsnet, many people disliked Natalie.

If it was just on ability and progress didn't matter they would do away with the strictly bit and reintroduce Come Dancing - a yawnfest for all but the keen amateur dancer to watch professionals.

Can't believe people think it's a racial issue - Alesha Dixon (mixed race) beat Matt di Angelo (white), Mark Ramprakash (mixed race) beat Matt Dawson (white) in the final). Natasha Kaplinsky's dad is South African.

I think if you go back to the first week and tried to predict who would be in the final and who would get 10s Chris would not be on anyone's list for either and Ricky would be on everyone's list for both.
