The guy from Hollyoaks didn't look too bad in the group dance, I'm v dissappointed in Joe. Jo Wood loked woeful . Apparently Jade isn't well liked by everyone, too much of the diva .

I always hated Arlene (too screechy and annoying) but at least she was a professional dancer/choreographer who knew her stuff. Alesha's lovely to look at and bubbly but she doens't know any more about dancing than any of the other competitors really. You can tell she's well aware that she's not really qualified to be judging. Karen would have been good as a judge I reckon.

So who are all the new people? And who are they replacing? Karen. Camilla. The kiwi girl? Does anyone know the goss about why there have been replacements? Did people leave or were they sacked?

Hollyoaks girl was good wasn't she? And I agreed with Alesha that Hollyoaks bloke looked seriously sexy in the group dance.

Jo Wood looks funny IMO. Has she had a lot of work done? Sorry, naive question I'm always the last person to notice these things when they're blatantly obvious to the rest of the world.

Hooray for SCD! My life's complete again. A Friday night with EE followed by SCD is about as good as it gets in my sad life!

suppose it's only fair to give Alesha a couple of weeks to bed in but it does seem like her appointment was a big mistake.

I'm not sure how comments like 'you've got a nice face' add much value.

In fairness, they are always a bit vague in the first weeks, as they woul be constantly negative if they only talked about the dancing. Didn't miss Arlene, as she always got on my wick, but didn't love Alesha as much as I thought I would.

Still have a massive girl crush on Claudia!

Am rooting for Martina Hingis and Matthew Cutler, 'cos I have a minor soft spot for him [gooey emoticon].

mm22boys, get a VPN (virtual private network). Costs about a tenner a month - I use a company called banana but you could just google vpns. It gives you a UK ISP. Then you can get iplayer. Yay! Will be watching my strictly download tonight.

Didn't Karen leave also under the older-women-being-outed-cloud with Arlene? Sure I read an interview where she half said she was pissed off at being given the boot and half said she was sooo-busy-doing-other-things. Didn't like her anyway, she wanted to win too badly.
Cannot look at Matthew Cutler anymore since reading he fancies (nay, may even be shagging) the dreadful Blakeley woman....
Cross that Strictly has been dumbed down to cater almost exclusively for soap viewers.

Disappointed with Alesha so far.
Loved Brian and Ali.
Laughed like a drain at the mambo: Richard Dunwoody and Jo Wood mainly. Still laughing at the thought of it and have watched back several times.
Loved Craig's comment to Brendan after the group dance.
Joe was rubbish.
Lynda's dress was hideous. Her dancing wasn't much better.
Think that those couples given the tango last night and the rumba tonight are on a hiding to nothing. Waltz tons easier than tango to make look OK, and the rumba is one of the hardest to do well.

Dh is away and desperate to share. Can you tell?

I LOVE it!It is my secret pleasure glass of wine candles really naff but it has always been my favourite thing.Jo wood was tragic as was the girl from eastenders although I like her.Bring back arlene aleesha too drippy.Loved her hair though

Matthew Cutler is gay isn't he? That's why he split with his wife, Nicole. Maybe Bleakley has turned him, but if he was set for turning, I would have thought Aleesha more appealing.

Karen Hardy and her husband have opened a dance school in Chelsea (I think), DH worked with her DH and he left to help her run it. She has had a couple of duff partners since Ramps as well, so perhaps she is happy not to be there - I believe she's doing something on Claudia's programme though?

DS1 and I adore SCD, it is our special thing together - we watched it this afternoon on i-player as he had a friend round last night and I was drinking wine and gossiping on the phone was a bit busy while it was on so didn't give it it's full attention. We liked Ali, although she had a touch of the Rachel "oh my gosh, do you really think I was okay even though I've clearly been dancing for years, I need to act all shy and amazed" Stevens. We also thought Ricky Whittle was good in the Mambo and that Natalie Cassidy was fab, although she should have refused to wear that frock. Chris Hollins...interesting. Could be bad news for Rav Wilding tonight I reckon. The boxer bloke did NOT look happy at all! Are him and Kristina Rhianoff an item? I didn't know she had had an affair with Vincent (what is it about him????) and he had split with his pg girlfriend because of it. She is a very very sexy lady.

Brian is camp as xmas!he is my fave dancr though apart from a soft spot for brendan.Love flavia think ola looks like a hooker in a sex shop in amsterdam.Bruce is getting more and more cringey hilarious.My 15 yr old ds watches out of the corner of his eye cringing but secretly enjoys it I think.The boxer was humourless and hopeless can't wait to see the latin tonight

Aleesha is irritating and knows f all about dancing judging from her comments. Shame - I honestly think they should dump her as a judge - she would be better as a presenter.
