Are you ready?

Can't wait to see Greg.

She won't win - she didn't win this show did she and that was against a bunch of dross.

letsgostrawberrypicking · 29/05/2009 22:20

greg is so lovely, very sweet.

She showed great determination I agree, in coming back - but not bravery. Anyway Todd Carty is on now so there is a real legend

expatinscotland · 29/05/2009 22:21

My god, violet, she's ten.

Please reserve the vitriol for the adults around her, including the show, who have also let down a person with learning difficulties who was deprived of oxygen during birth, Miss Susan Boyle.

NotmyELFtoday · 29/05/2009 22:22

My facebook status is:

"thinks the judges on BGT should be bloody well ashamed on themselves, as should Hollies mother; if that were my daughter sobbing on stage, I'd have whisked her away and not pushed her to perform again, poor kid. Not that my little one would be on the stage singing, she'd be too distracted by the lights etc, but you know what I mean!"

which has been "liked" by several friends

scrappydappydoo · 29/05/2009 22:22

I switched off after her 1st performance - its ended bgt for me - I've always hated the little kids on it cos I think its wrong.
As far as Hollie goes - she is 10 - she is behaving exactly like a 10 yr old girl who has been over encouraged by her parents and others. Her parents, the media and others have put words in her mouth - she is not mature enough to understand what she is saying or how she is behaving. Please leave HER alone, she is behaving normally if you ask me and I think its appalling she is being exploited in this manner. She should not perform tomorrow.

violethill · 29/05/2009 22:22

I blame the mother too. But not every kid would go along with it. I hope my kids would have told me to fuck off if I'd tried to do that to them when they were ten.

misdee · 29/05/2009 22:22

whats the full story with susan boyle?

who do u think will win?

i think it will be between susan, diversity and flawless

or maybe aiden.

Tillyboo · 29/05/2009 22:22

I'm sooooo cross about this !
Defo spoilt brat syndrome. Greg should have gone through tonight.

I feel sorry for the young lad who actually won the semi final, he's been totally obscurred by this fiasco .. now he really does have talent !

FabulousBakerGirl · 29/05/2009 22:23

but you wanted her on again violet

She was paralysed with nerves you could see that - it's Mommie Dearest I have the issues with.

BitOfFun · 29/05/2009 22:24

Couldnt agree more, Expat...

Unicornvomit · 29/05/2009 22:24

FBG - yes, in an evil way I did

Don't actually vote at all though for anyone!

chocolatefudgebrownie · 29/05/2009 22:26

Agree with expat. I would be hurt if that was my dd you are discussing. I don't think hollie is spoilt, just a young vulnerable girl.

pinotmonster · 29/05/2009 22:26

When you look at the other acts in the final like Diversity, Flawless, Aidan etc Hollie does not stand a chance of winning - so will we see big tears and tantrums! The plug should have been pulled tonight - it did not make pretty viewing and verges on child cruelty!

FabulousBakerGirl · 29/05/2009 22:26

here is hollie

There should be a BGT show for children, but definitely not live. It's unfair for these kids to be put under such pressure as a live show on prime time TV.

countesscaloriecounter · 29/05/2009 22:27

I get really annoyed by this stuff. She's a little girl who can't handle it and her parents should be ashamed of themselves. If she's so talented then come back when you're 16 or so and able to handle it a bit better. I cringed my way through her second perfomance ( although she did well second time around).

I really think there should be a minimum age for this type of thing to stop pushy parents getting their kids on stage.

BitOfFun · 29/05/2009 22:29

ilovemydog, that's a much better idea.

oodlesofpoodles · 29/05/2009 22:30

She was begging to start again before her mother got near her. She is just a normal kid who was frustrated at herself for messing up. I'm glad they let her have another chance but I don't think she should have been put through. Not fair to try and make her do it all over again.

Hopefully · 29/05/2009 22:30

I'm such a loser, I stayed up for the little news at 10 slot. Would love to think there'll be a shock 'mother pulls daughter out of BGT' headline tomorrow, but seems a teensy bit unlikely!

Ninkynork · 29/05/2009 22:30

Ick, it's all really sickening. I did think that Hollie, a genuine talent, would go some way to redeeming this awful spectacle, but it was not to be. Pretty and gifted as she is the producers needed another story from her at the expense of her confidence.

Serves me right for being so bloody optimistic.

See you all tomorrow for the vile conclusion?

violethill · 29/05/2009 22:31

The whole thing is a total joke now. I agree with whoever said they feel sorry for Aidan - his moment of deserved glory has been totally eclipsed.

And there were other better acts from other nights (Natalie?) who were younger than Hollie and seemed far more able to cope with performing. (Not to mention being better at singing)
