Is it safe to talk about episode 4 yet, or is it polite to wait until it's been on Sky 1 on Sunday? Is anyone else downloading it and watching it at US pace?

Another LOST fan signing in for duty......

Only just found this thread. Loving LOST although I do found it terribly confusing....luckily my DH is very on the ball and seems to remember what colour pants Jin was wearing in season one .

I think the white haired lady is Daniel's Mum, esp now we know she is in LA, not Oxford.
I have no recollection of Desmond in a jewellers....even though I have seen every single episode.

Can't watch tonight cos DH on night shift so I have to wai til tomorrow night as I need him to remember things for me!

Can someone just remind me - what happened to Claire? Is she dead or not? Because tonight Jack said that Claire's mum "still thinks she's dead."

No he said that because as far as Claires mum is concerned she died in the plane crash, we don't know what happened to Claire as she just wondered off with her ghost dad so assuming she not dead, she was in the cabin too

Oh Oh just had another thought. You know that Daniel as Charlotte's dad theory? Apologies for dismissing that because am kind of liking it now, because tonight Charlotte said to Daniel 'stop babying me.'

Ooh. telling.

And and, if Charles Widmore was Daniel's father, than Daniel could have called his daughter after his dad (Charlotte/Charles... anyone else running with this theory now?)

Still not convinced by girlfriend-in-a-coma though.

The whole reason Daniel and Desmond met each other was so that Desmond could find out about the nose bleeds and he told him he needed a constant -Penny
Then Daniel put Desmond down to be his constant

So what d'fuck are they all going to do now their noses are bleeding, or have I missed something, Is Desmond going to be all they're constants????

Has anyone seen the trailer for the next episode? The smoke monster is back...
Oh, and it was the return of Jin that made me happy- I really didn't like him at first, but I loved the way his character developed and became a lot more human, instead of just a one dimensional, controlling bit-of-a-bully.
Too much Jack and Kate this week, I thought, but just enough Sayid to make up for it

I know you're not meant to understand, but the time-travel thing is really confusing me. The bit where they found the camp back, and those boats... surely the rest of the survivors were jumping around in time at the same pace as the ones we were watching weren't they? So there wouldn't have been time for them to run off/be killed/whatever because they would all have just got 'back' to that time zone.

But then Jin is in a different time zone... ahhh I give up!

Apropos of nothing, Charlotte's eyes scare the crap out of me.

I thought 50s girl was Penny's mum. Only because they look a bit similar.

Would I be way off the mark to suggest that Jon Locke is actually Jacob ?

With all this time travelling m'larky maybe the name 'JonLock' could have evolved from/ to Jacob

... if you say it quickly they sound pretty similar.

Has anyone else seen the theory that Miles is the baby seen briefly in the first episode of this series? The baby belonging to Marvin Candle/Pierre Chang/whatever his name is (Dharma Initiative orientation films blokey). If he's linked to Dharma somehow it might explain why he was chosen to be part of the group to go to the Island.
Or of course, there might be no connection at all and I'm spending too much time reading theories on Lostpedia. I also like the idea that the 'Adam and Eve' bodies that were found in the cave in series one are Jack and Kate.
Watching the next episode tonight, yay!

i think miles is that baby, when his nose started bleeding he said to daniel that he'd never been to the island before until 2 weeks earlier, daniel then said 'are you sure about that?!'

i like the theory that daniel is charlottes father, but it does bother me that he did say he was 'in' love with her, rather than just loves her, would that not be slightly incestuous?!

am loving it now that the pace of the storyline has picked up, series 1-3 were too slow going for me.

I don't know whether it's because I'm so sleep deprived at the moment but my head is now spinning after reading this thread. I love Lost and I love discussing theories, but I need some reminders.

I've found a clip of Desmond buying the ring on Youtube, so I know which old lady you mean there but when did she appear at the end of a recent episode?

Also, what baby was seen in the first episode?

Time-travelling thing is irritating me too in that suddenly there are no 'rules' - they could basically have anything happen and explain it away with time travel, d'you think?

i checked on a site that had an episode recap, and it had it down as daniel saying 'in' love, as i couldn't quite remember.

the father thing has to be important somehow, they all seem to be linked in someway through their fathers.
