I can't imagine that Lisa is going to be great at the jive. She has improved absolute loads, but I don't think she's light enough on her feet to pull off a really good jive. Mind you, I don't think Rachel is going to be particularly good at the tango either so it's a tough one to call. I'm pretty sure it'll be one of those two going out this Sunday though.

I can imagine Rachel pulling off a good tango Bran. Remember that Vincent and Flavia were/are Tango specialists/champions so he should be able to choreograph something amazing. I agree the jive will be tough for Lisa though.

Do you think Rachel can do haughty passion? I think she's a bit too cute and princessy.

I agree about Lisa and the jive ... she is really quite tall and has very long legs, neither of which are helpful when you are doing the jive.
Not sure about Rachel. She had the Paso last week which is similar in the drama levels, so that might help her ... I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I know what you mean about RS not being naturally that haughty/dramatic but I do think she's got a massive advantage in being choreographed by Vincent who must know everything there is to know about the tango...did you see his Milonga with Flavia the other week? He may be a silly little man but he seriously knows how to do a tango/milonga

PS. I only saw Sunday's highlights but surely RS must have lost a few points for that hideous dress and make up!

I agree about the dress (can't remember the make-up) For some reason I think Paso dresses look so much better if they are black or red or maybe gold. That turquiose was dreadful!!

I went to the live tour last year and Vincent and Flavia's Argentine Tango was electric - it sent shivers.

Sorry to insult Vincent. But he really is a bit silly isn't he ? Very good dancer though...especially tango.

Rachel's make up matched her frock (they seem to do that a lot on SCD...even when the frocks are really vile colours). Loads of turquoise eyeshadow with bright fuschia lippy. It looked like my efforts at applying make up/crayons when I was about 6!

oblomov it's my dd who thinks he's an alien. I think he's completely asexual myself. But he's nice and a great dancer, hope he's back next year.

Rosa - the real problem with their paso was Vincent hogged the dance and that was inevitably going to piss off the judges. But the dress WAS hid-ee-ous (as Craig would say).

Rachel's finance on ITT is really familiar. Is he a 'someone'?

Was thinking today. Wonder if Jeremy whatsit is sitting every Saturday night watching Rachel with a vodka in one hand and her engagement ring in the other. Poor sod has only that dreadful Cookery programme in his life....

I did think that Rachel's turquoise dress looked as though it had been made for a much taller woman, she looked swamped in it. Up until now her dresses have been better than most of the female celebs, she must have missed a bribery payment on the day they made the turquoise dress. I can imagine the wardrobe woman opening the unmarked envelope, noting the amount is short and sadly putting back the beautiful red and gold fabric and pulling out the turquoise instead.

I'm rather ashamed to say that my view of Rachel has been coloured by her brothers looking the spitting image of the Mitchell brothers. Somehow it makes me imagine her to be much more selfish and princessey than she probably really is, like the Mitchell sister who buggered off the Spain and came a cropper. (That's probably the last time I actually watched Eastenders come to think of it.)

I knew Jodie wouldn't win, but she was so much nicer, more sincere and funnier than any of the remianing contestants.
I think if I had to go for anyone it would have to be..........er dunno. Don't like any of them. Probably Rachel. Not Lisa (too smug) and ditto Austin and Tom!

I think Lisas friends and family have really helped her popularity recently. It sounds as though she really loves the show as much as us. If she had discovered MN, she's be posting on this thread more than us. But she hasn't. So she's not.

I really can't think Lisa, Tom, Rachel, Erin and Camilla are as unlikeable in RL as they are portayed by us on here. I want to hug them all....Vincent especially!

out of the 4 would prefer Tom and Rachel in the final purley because I prefer them to Austin and lisa at this point anyway.

Humbug I have watched every series of SCD.
And particularly last series, Brendan, with all those lifts, was particularly hot tempered. And the judges now say he has matured, to show off his partner(Lisa), rather than his skills.
I agree. He seems to have changed alot. His fiances's influence ? calming him down ?

There are quite a few of us that are quite apathetic. Thats a real shame, isn't it. Something has clearly gone wrong, in that sense, this series.
The standard of dancing, has reached new heights, this series. But... SOMETHINMG is just not quite right.

Rachel is dull, she talks in cliches and has no sparkle - could be she can't relax in front of a camera, but so different from Alesha - bless!
Austin is entertaining and witty at least, tho Tess is too dim to pick up on it so its wasted on the weekend shows, Tom is just nice and needs it too much - not enough else going on in his life? no more acting jobs?, and Lisa does actually have a spark but I think she is trying to bury it to get votes!
