Why am I watching this when I know it's just going to freak me out??

Bella73 · 23/11/2008 22:10

Ah, here's someone thinking ahead!

TrillianAstra · 23/11/2008 22:11

He's obviously watched a few post-apocalyptic films.

differentID · 23/11/2008 22:14

so what would you do in this situation? Instead of Zombie plan, a Plague plan?

chipmunkswhereareyou · 23/11/2008 22:15

Complete aside: I met Max Beesley's mum on a train once and she said (this was before he was in anything) 'my son's going to be really famous one day, he's called Max Beesley and he's going out with Mica Paris'. I thought she was a bit odd but she was right!

TrillianAstra · 23/11/2008 22:16

Need two plague plans, depending on if you're still at risk of getting it.

TrillianAstra · 23/11/2008 22:18

If I got pushed out of a moving car in a mostly empty country you bet there wouldn't be a young doctor nearby to help me out.

chipmunkswhereareyou · 23/11/2008 22:23

This is silly as if all these people would happen to find each other.

OP posts:
chipmunkswhereareyou · 23/11/2008 22:24

He said if someone was still in control we'd know by now but how would they know?

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 23/11/2008 22:24

If this lot are bumping into each other there must be a fair few more around.

TrillianAstra · 23/11/2008 22:25

Did they turn on the radio in any of those cars? If I were directing I would have included alittle bit of tuning into static.

KatyMac · 23/11/2008 22:27

Matriarchal society blooms again

Bella73 · 23/11/2008 22:27

If they didn't find each other it'd be a boring programme though.

10% survival rate, that's still quite a few people isn't it?

chipmunkswhereareyou · 23/11/2008 22:28

OOH I didn't predict that!!

OP posts:
scrappydappydoo · 23/11/2008 22:29

Why is no-one questioning how max beesley ended up injured in the road???

Bella73 · 23/11/2008 22:29

Ooo ooo ooo liked the bunker people at the end, didn't think of that! Good one.

TrillianAstra · 23/11/2008 22:29

So they had a bunker, and they're going to stay underground for months while they work on a vaccine.

solidgoldbrass · 23/11/2008 22:31

I got bored with it after an hour. And I quite agree about the very clean and tidy dying-where-you-sit that suddenly started happening after the first few victims had been busy heaving and overacting - not terrribly convincing. Reminds me a little of the gloriously stupid 90s show Bugs where they once all had lethal food poisoning, the symptoms of which seemed to consist entirely of wobbling a bit then fainting with absolutely no undignified eruptions or pebbledashing of entire set...

bramblebooks · 23/11/2008 22:31

I don't remember the bunker people from the first time round.

No, am that old, was a tiddler, but loved watching it with my mum!

IllegallyBrunette · 23/11/2008 22:32

Freema is dead isn't she ?? She was lying across the doctors lap and then the doctor was going to top herself because there was no one else there so I assumed Freema was dead then.

TrillianAstra · 23/11/2008 22:33

I liked it. Will have to iplayer the next episode after Tuesday, which is a shame cos it was definitely enhanced by watching it with you guys.

TrillianAstra · 23/11/2008 22:34

Freema can't be dead cos she's here.

KatyMac · 23/11/2008 22:34

It's been on before?

What happened? No don't answer that, well - Oh I don't know

KatyMac · 23/11/2008 22:36

DH wants to know when it was on before?

differentID · 23/11/2008 22:36

IB, didn't Abby's husband think she was dead?

TrillianAstra · 23/11/2008 22:37

1975, it's a remake.
