What are you getting Kay?

KayHarker · 31/08/2008 16:32

I honestly have no idea - it's a reconditioned number from his work. I can't wait to get online more than once every two days.

KatyMac · 31/08/2008 16:34

Have you got anything new for us to read?

KayHarker · 31/08/2008 17:44

I will do once I get the new computer up and running. It's just not worth trying to get things typed and loaded up on this one, takes hours. There's only so much long-hand fanfic I have the space for

Right, anyway, going offline now, well, after the five minutes this will take to load...

Cappuccino · 31/08/2008 19:20

[[http://www.bbcshop.com/David-Tennant/Doctor-Who-The-Resurrection-Casket-Audio-Download/invt/978140 5626002 ooh we listened to this on our day trip the other day]

I seem to remember it came free with the Radio Times

v good it was

monster particularly fantastic

Glad the Hamlet is living up to expectations.

Cappuccino · 02/09/2008 12:20

well dd1 finally has got 'sucked in' (her words) to Sarah Jane Adventures

we watched a bit yesterday because dd2 is always hovering around the TV and I wanted to make sure it wasn't inappropriate for her

it was quite funny actually, lots of fun. Though the Slitheen were a bit pitiful. At one point Luke was meant to be narrowly escaping from one, except that the Slitheen was tiny and only able to shuffle after him slowly

it was like watching a chase scene featuring an elderly lady on a zimmer frame

needless to say there were no screams of fear from the Coffee House

KayHarker · 02/09/2008 13:21

ah, yes, the new series starts soon. With guest stars

mygirllollipop · 02/09/2008 14:13

Yes the DD's a watching SJA, including on iplayer. But horror of horrors the sound card has gone on teh computer so no more iplayer for me for a while.
Glad to see you back Kay!

TinkerBellesMum · 02/09/2008 17:08

That episode was a bit painful! I think SJA and Torchwood are like opposite extemes of Dr Who.

serenity · 04/09/2008 10:02

Bit of Torchwood casting news

Cappuccino · 04/09/2008 18:02

no mention of James Marsters there....

WHY

OP posts:
serenity · 04/09/2008 19:57

Because he's going to be a secret guest star

SciFiFan · 05/09/2008 12:33

Oooh I do hope so. I have to say I'm in severe withdrawal for my Who stuff now . I've also just got to the end of a marathon Buffy/Angel DVD re-run and there's no Heroes or Supernatural either.

What is a SciFiFan to do?? Medium on Beeb 1 seems to be the only thing.

Roll on Christmas so we can countdown to the Who Christmas Special!

serenity · 05/09/2008 13:27

Supernatural's on in 13 days (well it is for Americans and bad bittorrenting people) I shall be getting a small dose tomorrow when I go and stare at Ackles in a skirt to see Ackles unreleased film Ten Inch Hero.

SciFiFan · 05/09/2008 14:21

I wonder how they're gonna get him out of hell?? It's supposed to be quite surprising. Hopefully it won't be too long til it hits ITV2 - I'm no good at rooting things out on-line (bit of a computer infant).

Anyone worked out how many days to go til the Christmas special??

serenity · 05/09/2008 14:33

I sort of know (seen the first five minutes), but I'm not going to spoil it for people on here

Roughly 111days, 4 hours and 27 minutes until the Christmas Special according to fb.

SciFiFan · 05/09/2008 15:35

So it's that quick (squeals in excitement) - maybe that's the surprise.

I like the 'roughly' on the countdown . Thanks - will start counting down quietly to myself.

I'm hoping to pick up some goss tomorrow from my cousin as he's a major who fan (even has his own dalek) and has done extras work on both who and torchwood in the last couple of years.... I just need something/anything to keep me going in these dark Tennant-less times.

Am re those who have been lucky enough to see him in Hamlet. I believe he's going to be in some science drama in the Autumn about Einstein or something. I'd be watching even if it was about paint drying just to get my DT fix .

serenity · 05/09/2008 16:29

Slow down....seen the first five minutes of him coming back, doesn't mean it's at the beginning of anything or is quick ........ I could do a link, also got a link to promo pictures of both Ep 1 and 2, could tell you the names

Gossip would be good, there's not enough Who stuff atm, although now TW's filming we should get some I hope.

serenity · 05/09/2008 16:38

Come off here and go on another forum, and end up posting stuff on here anyway...

So which one are you getting? This one? Or this one?

SciFiFan · 05/09/2008 16:40

Promo picture links would be good as would names.

SciFiFan · 05/09/2008 16:46

Ooh it's a close call. I used to get the Spike calendars much to DHs disdain (though he gets himself a Kylie calendar ). So the picture of James M in January of Torchwood is quite compelling.

However, you get more shots for your money on the DW one i.e. lots of Tennant.

I'm embarrased to say that I still have my Spike calendars - maybe I should check if the days match and get one back out again .

SciFiFan · 05/09/2008 16:52

Or this one! That way we get two bods to drool look at.

serenity · 05/09/2008 17:01

Ep1 Lazarus Rising

Ep2 'God, can you hear me, its me, Dean Winchester?

LOL at Ep 2 title, someone's been ODing on Judy Blume books!

serenity · 05/09/2008 17:03

I had a Heroes one last year, this year I'll have Dean Supernatural one, but I'm tempted to get a DW as well - I want a little mini one I can keep by the PC.
