I think he looks like a good actor....so....hopefully will bring something special to the role....David T. will be a difficult act to follow, of course...

I thought it was 3 specials rather than a series now and then DT leaves and the 12 yr old takes over.

unfitmother - DT is going to do 4 more 'specials' - no dates yet, but ending with Christmas 2010, so we still have a year of him. Series 5 is due to start in 2010, not sure when.

Oh 4 specials, even better.

yeah, that is a point....the young age will stop me from having unclean thoughts ....bit like when Gareth Gates was on X-factor....I thought he was gorgeous, but it just would have felt wrong to go into lecherous mode, so, I had to go into maternal mode....which isn't as much fun

Thanks, DS just got upset when they said Series 5 wasn't starting until Spring 2010.
He has AS and has to watch it every Saturday night, we have all 4 series on DVD.

Ummm - DT is 14 years younger than me, didn't stop me having unclean thoughts....

MS on the other hand is 3 months younger than my nephew, which makes it definitely a no-no.

Still, before DT I hadn't actually fancied a Doctor since Peter Davison (apart from DH ofcourse)so it'll be OK as long as this guy is actually convincing in the role.
