Strictly 2026 : THE LAUNCH SHOW 19.25hrs How will our new presenters fare ? NO SPOILERS

[EineReiseDurchDieZeit]

A shiny new thread for a shiny new series. Please bring your dancing shoes over here.

Not sure whether I am doing weekly threads or not yet. Yet to decide, but I’m doing one for the first episode anyway.

The preshow chat thread has been quiet and I’m wondering if lots of people aren’t watching due to the departure of Tess and Claude. I have my reservations about the new presenting team but I’m willing to give them a chance.

KEEP DANCING 💃

I remember screaming at the telly

I know! Was onky watching for her really!!

Johannes is terrible.

Josh t-rexxing

Kai Wiggrington... 🤭

I'd hoped Shaun would get Jowita.

The spoilers were apparently wrong….

Yes you coudl feel the excitment on the thread

think i recognise your name from masterchef too!

Sexy Canadian Matt is now giving AJ Pritchard and I now have the ick

I like the Scottish guy with Jowita. They look cute.

She was in the opening number.

Delta and Kai are like the perfect couple

That’s a great pairing

Yes

You do indeed. Big Masterchef gal

Anybody watch the Dancing with the stars pro competition on Disney? Thought AJ was going to start throwing toys in the last episode.

I take it from this that the three of them will just keep swapping round

I am just not feeling this at all.

I think JoJo is slowly getting there. He is projecting a bit more as the episode goes on. He could perhaps do with some practice but he will get there.

I’m trying to watch without posting but can I just say Kai needs a haircut!

Me too

its too ITV

Ooh I didnt know we could get that. Yay

I agree entirely, I can't stand him on the last leg, he's so unfunny and he just looks so uncomfortable on this. Emma and Johannes would work so much better, well I'm not sure Johannes presenting really, he's v wooden reading the autocue! They should have hired Emma and another experienced presenter in my opinion, Emma is going to be carrying them!

I am enjoying it so far. I like the way of announcing the couples. I think that the presenters will bed in quickly. The interviews are a little bit long though.

I do feel that five fresh pros are too many in a year where all the presenters are new.

Don’t need Josh, Johannes is not up to presenting.
