Strictly 2026 : THE LAUNCH SHOW 19.25hrs How will our new presenters fare ? NO SPOILERS

[EineReiseDurchDieZeit]

A shiny new thread for a shiny new series. Please bring your dancing shoes over here.

Not sure whether I am doing weekly threads or not yet. Yet to decide, but I’m doing one for the first episode anyway.

The preshow chat thread has been quiet and I’m wondering if lots of people aren’t watching due to the departure of Tess and Claude. I have my reservations about the new presenting team but I’m willing to give them a chance.

KEEP DANCING 💃

I would rather see Danny Dyer if we’re having one of the dads!

Game of thrones prequel

Game of thrones prequel.

Prequel to Game Of Thrones

Thanks everyone!!

Kai and Delta nailed on?

I’d LOVE to see Danny Dyer do it!

😂😂😂

in my happy place steak cocktails and strictly

Just about to say this!

Anyone on the winter olympics thread earlier in the year - excitment watching tabby and Matt weston get the gold medal

So Bethany is dancing same sex

Yesss

Kai’s hair???

I've just stuck it back to the beginning and Josh's manaical laughter is really, really annoying me.

I am very willing to give the new presenters some time to bed in but didn't the BBC listen to him? I suppose he's very nervous. I hope he'll be asked to tone it down.

Johannes' voice is easy for me to understand BTW.

Omg it’s Kai with the curls

I assume there were thoughts that Johannes wouldn't have enough tv presence with just Emma. Emma is such a pro and Josh is probably the comedic back up. But agree that Johannes' voice is soft and easy to not hear easily.

I just remember the criticism there always was for Tess every season. And while Claudia was a pro on this, I can find her really affected and annoying. The launch show is always crap really though. Time will tell how the three presenters work together.

Wasnt it fun!!! 🥇

Kai trying to look younger with the new hair

Happy to see Kai and Alijaz. Less happy about Nancy.

I think Josh seems to be the one who maybe knows more of the contestants and is at ease with them. JoJo knows the dancers and dancing.

Kai should keep the curls

I'm late in!
Mainly because I am bemused by the sparkles and shrieking and downright noise.

I feel like a right gimmer- dont know most of the celebs, new dancers and now this " swap partners choosing"...i expect I'll come round to it!

Why is Josh holding his hamds like a kangaroo on the balcony

Not seen Dianne yer.

I feel Josh really isn't needed as a host. Just Johannes and Emma would be better. 3 doesn't quite work.
