Not sure whether I am doing weekly threads or not yet. Yet to decide, but I’m doing one for the first episode anyway.

The preshow chat thread has been quiet and I’m wondering if lots of people aren’t watching due to the departure of Tess and Claude. I have my reservations about the new presenting team but I’m willing to give them a chance.

My mum is bereft they got rid of Tom Jones, i don't watch it but mum had a 15 minute rant about it !

I think they have a new live presenter but Emma was obviously in the pre record.

The series of the Voice currently showing was filmed last year. Emma won't be presenting the next one.

Internet says new presenters are Stacy Solomon and Aleisha Dixon

Emma Willis is taking over all the channels 😂

Hang on @Runningupthecurtains the auditions are prerecorded sure but there is a live performance element to it

The series being broadcast in 2026 was filmed in 2025 so she isn't working on the Voice at the same time as Strictly,

I hope Emma is better on Strictly . She is fine on pre recorded Voice but on the days when they had live shows, I did not enjoy her shouting presenting style.

I believe it's all prerecorded with a studio audience vote but as I have never actually watched it that's what I gather from what I've read.

Not sure how I feel about this evening , it’s big shoes to fill isn’t it .
I love Johannes as a dancer and have seen a couple of his stage shows, but not sure quite what his role is going to be on SCD.
I like Emma Willis a lot, think she’ll do a great job - but can’t imagine Josh on this type of programme at all .
