Marking place. Can’t wait for this! I think it is a very underrated show - nobody I know watches it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/09/2026 21:33

It’s one of the best police shows imo

So happy to have a new series of this to look forward to, cannot wait for the flash backs !! I still cannot believe they killed gerry off he was the best character and I shed a few tears at that episode although I must say I was so happy that Tina mcintyre was such a big part of series 3.

Each series I say to myself well it can't be better than the last and I have to eat my words, I have HIGH hopes for series 4

It deserves far more viewers and all the awards

The TV DNA podcast has done a number of episodes on the previous series - lots of cast interviews etc. Also Talking Derry Girls podcast has interviews with the creators.

daffodilandtulip · 25/09/2026 22:32

Ooo LOVE this

Xcellently · 26/09/2026 05:26

Ooh, I was hoping there would be a thread for this, thank you @Blondeshavemorefun - I knew you wouldn't let us down!

I have told the DH very firmly we will be watching at TV pace!

I really love Blue Lights - it’s the one crime drama (other than Line of Duty) that keeps me in a state of near-constant anxiety that something horrendous is about to happen out of nowhere.

placemats · 29/09/2026 10:10

Can't wait to watch it tonight. It's a fantastic series. Going to be tough to wait until next week for the next episode.

Peachy2005 · 29/09/2026 14:44

It’s up on iPlayer so must resist…wonder if it’s going up against BakeOff, surely not!

ETA: it’s half-overlapping with Bake Off, checked the schedule.

spiderlight · 29/09/2026 16:17

Signing in - cannot wait! 😀

EarringsandLipstick · 29/09/2026 16:20

Love this show. It's so good. I'm in Ireland and every season I forget to watch it in real time - we can't get iPlayer so then I'm left drumming my heels until it makes it to RTE - which can take a while.

hopefully I remember tonight!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/09/2026 17:12

The girl who wants to go back to Derry, is it PTSD she has? I can’t quite remember what the issue is from last series. I don’t remember them being so much together that he would be begging her to stay…

ItsPickleRick · 29/09/2026 21:58

Ahhhh that was so good!! I can’t watch another one because I’m up so early!

@Peachy2005 Yes, Aisling had PTSD which led to her putting herself in some dangerous situations last season.Tommy had to report her to their seniors leading to her being sent to an inpatient facility.
