The girl with the phone didn't help the situation

I was thinking This is when the police should be allowed to have guns and shoot them in the leg etc to stop them but assumed not allowed them

But then a gun at the end and bang

Must be scary having your home invaded like that

But all in all a very good e1 and can't wait for next week and it was all action

the one show had Gerry and Grace on tonight and Gerry comes back in a prequal in episode 4 as the series all leads up to the murder trial. loved episode 1. you think theres been enough drama for one episode and then bang! a curve ball
of tension pops up. great stuff

Was I the only one shouting ‘shut the gates!!’ at the community center? Two massive black gates and a mob trying to get in, and nobody thinks to shut them?

So obvious the marchers from Dublin would be there to support the anti immigrant mob.

The gun had to be fired. My guess is to the man who was about to light the Molotov cocktail - petrol bomb.

I ws thinking when they appeared with their Tricolours, it must have been planned or else they wouldn't have been able to march unmolested through that neighbourhood. The word must have been put out beforehand that they weren't to be challenged.

Coincidentally, DH and I have been watching old episodes of 'The Bill' from the very beginning, we're in the early 90s now, and earlier last night we were watching an episode dealing with the fallout after Bob Cryer shot an armed robber dead. There was an awful lot of uncertainty around what would happen at the inquest etc. even in a not politically charged situation.

I think it's definitely going to be questioned that Annie gave out her personal mobile, and what they were doing there in the first place.

Maybe the police needed space to retreat.
