Sorry behind catwalk but has anyone seen Molly's new show on you tibe?.It really is quite sure and has all the makings of a career in freefall (she even had to get her husband to produce it). Was it always going to be this way after the Schofiled scandal or is she like Tess Daly simply not to enter enough to make a career on her own?

JAN MOIR: Holly's new show is so banal it makes Meghan's look good

Caring, sharing Holly Willoughby blessed us with a return to the broadcast world this week, floating back down the airwaves like a blonde cherub on a candy-floss cloud of crud.

Once saw her and Ferne Cotton in some weird filming at a hotel we were staying at. My daughters ‘met them’ in the ladies and said both were stuck up - they had smiled at them and said hello but both Holly and Ferne looked at them as if they’d trod in something nasty.
And I wonder what happened to that ‘great friendship’?! Holly and Ferne were supposedly best mates.

Exactly this

Dunno, Schofield hasn’t got off easily. His UK tv career will never recover. And Holly knew about the relationship, she knew about the secrecy surrounding his marriage, she enjoyed being The Queen of ITV and had zero humility - not great characteristics. She’s had reputational damage that was pretty much inevitable, given how she behaved to others around her. I saw it first hand.

How did she behave?

KitchenFaust · 29/07/2026 10:42

What happened to anthea turner? I didn’t know there was an issue. Although thinking about it I haven’t heard her name in ages.
also re Holly, I thought she said she has been lied to? Didn’t Schofield lie to her?

KitchenFaust · 29/07/2026 10:43

And what’s Philip Schofield up to these days? Does he work at all?

You can't work it out?

We can all work it out, I guess she just thought that after misspelling it twice the OP should have another crack at getting it right.

Ha ha, edited my typo! lol. Well spotted :)

I don’t think she has discussed the situations that have gone on, maybe she isn’t allowed. Schofield and the separate kidnap situation. Holly comes across squeaky clean but I think more relatability and honesty may help. However many tv stars reach middle age and disappear Fern Britton for instance. It may be time to walk away from tv and turn her hand to other aspects.

Although she definitely got covered in the stink from Schofield (rightly so), I also wonder how much of career nosedive is down to her off screen treatment of people.

I’ve seen a fair bit of stuff (gossip admittedly, so not factual) about her mean girl/queen bee/‘do you know who I am?’ attitude. Which, if true, could account for her being completely cut loose, Ellen de Generes-style.

If you’re an arsehole to people on the way up, don’t expect them to throw you a rope on the way down.

I also wondered this. I wondered if she was a bit of a nightmare to work with and that’s why she’s not on tv broadcasting channels now.

The kidnap plot was truly horrific and I’m amazed she’d ever want to stick her head above the parapet again. I admire her bravery for that.

I thought the queue jumping thing was all really odd though, the tv company arranged for them to jump the queue so they could report on it. Why is that a problem?

It's just bizarre, people do all they can to avoid queues, they pay shed loads of money to jump them at theme parks - why would anyone stand in line if they didn't have to? If anyone else in that queue had been offered the chance to jump it then they would have literally jumped at the chance, no one wants to stand there for hours on end just waiting for the sake of it.

People were just bitter that they didn't get to jump the queue themselves IMO.

OP why are you posting such illegible nonsense?

Edited

I remember a lot of discussion about whether they needed to queue jump to report from inside where the queen a lying in State. They presented a lightweight magazine program, not the six o'clock news.

There was also a huge contrast with the other very famous people who waited with the hoi polloi and there was criticism of way they behaved while they were near the coffin. I remember them looking like a pair of excited teenagers, with Holly waving at the crowds as if they were there for her.

They made a lot of enemies that day.

Moveoverdarlin · 29/07/2026 10:58

Are you typing these posts with your nose OP? Or with your eyes shut? I can’t join in criticising Holly Willoughby when my cat is more proficient at spelling.

Whosthetabbynow · 29/07/2026 11:01

She needs to step away now. To keep plugging away like this is embarrassing. Can’t leave it alone can they.

Omg can you tell us more about Ms Willoughby and her behaviour? I was always very indifferent about Holly but her covering for Schofield and his relationship with the young lad was awful.

Victorius19 · 29/07/2026 11:09

The fact that Holly and the entire TM production crew stood aside and enabled PS to groom a young man right under their noses is heinous. Every single person who said and did nothing should be ashamed of themselves. Add on the farce of "filming" at the late Queen's lying in state and yet the footage never being shown, their cards were finally marked.

Neither deserve a career in the media again.

Chefpig · 29/07/2026 11:09

The thing is with Holls, does she have enough money to live on for the rest of her days if she didn't go back to presenting? I mean, what else could she do? I can't see her on the tills at Aldi somehow or pulling a pint down the local. She must be bored out of her mind not working.

StormySam · 29/07/2026 11:12

I think it's interesting that she doesn't seem to have a girl gang around her anymore especially after the ordeal she went through in the courts. I can't think of anyone else in that situation as modt female celebs are very much into women supporting women

Lauren1983 · 29/07/2026 11:24

I thought I would give the show a go but saw it was 50 minutes of cooking with Stanley Tucci. I neither like cooking nor Stanley Tucci enough for 50 minutes of it. I don't think the vehicle is a bad idea for her but it needs to be snappier. There is no way that This Morning would spend 50 minutes on one segment.

People always like to find a woman to blame for a man’s crimes

You know my mother said this about a programme upstairs & downstairs where one of the girls was flirting with one of the other servants, he had somthing to drink & hit someone who was seriously injured think by glass my mom said that was her fault. I said no why would you blame the woman because a man couldn’t control his temper? We are raised that everything is our fault even if we did nothing. She is 82 so I can give her some leaway. She always worked I always thought she was an independent woman, she probably was but time makes you vunerable.

Screamingabdabz · 29/07/2026 11:28

I’m not an aficionado on Holly Willoughby's career but she just seems to me an insipid pretty girl but with no discernible talent. She’s not a hard hitting journo, or has any particular charisma or usp. At least the insipid blonde on countdown can do maths.

If I was a tv producer looking for my next big hit, she’d be last person I’d choose. Does anybody really like these pretty, vanilla presenters? No wonder Alison Hammond (like or loath) is in demand, at least she’s got a personality. I’d go for someone gnarly and funny like Cathy Burke or Bob Mortimer. People with something to say.

As for Holly Willabooby - she should’ve stuck with Keith Lemon. Her tits might’ve been her saving grace.

Fern Britton: Inside the Vet's!
She has her own show at the mo.

I don't know if her famous friends dropped her or not they just seemed to publicly dissapear. Which i thought was strange,

Anjo2011 · 29/07/2026 11:32

She’s ten a penny. Little talent and she isn’t relatable imo. Shes got plenty of money so could go and live a lovely life. Perhaps she could volunteer if she has time on her hands. I think her tv career is beyond resurrection.

Agreed. There are plenty of cases where men have been excellent at hiding parts of themselves from the people closest to them, living with them in many instances. I think it's plausible she didn't know or maybe wondered but had nothing concrete to go on.

I think the vitriol she's had for simply being associated with him is very misogynistic. She's just been tarred as guilty by association. And as lots of people just didn't like her this was an easy axe to wield. It's horrible.

Also posts like these are disgusting. She's vapid, she's just a pretty face... if you hate women just say that. Don't pretend like you are on a higher moral level than another woman by suggesting she's no substance and is just a pretty face. Reducing any woman to her appearance because you don't gel with her personality or approach is quite simply another form of policing women.
