Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

The guy who plays Clive used to play David in casualty. He’s aged very well !

Also in Heartbeat!

the80sweregreat · 29/07/2026 16:06

I’ve never seen the Clive actor in anything. Didn’t watch casualty or heartbeat. He seems good though

AHH Heartbeat I couldn't place him!

What about someone (Ian) who is in prison for hurting someone (Grey) son.... would they really be in the same block?

Sharon was in the same block as Chrissie who was blamed for killing Den !

She narrowly missed sharing prison space with Ruby Allen who's Dad Johnney arranged for Dennis Sharons husband) to be murdered

hotmumshit · 29/07/2026 19:21

Its shite right now, isn't it

Season 6 Ugh GIF by Parks and Recreation

Prison stories are always boring. Hopefully , Ian will be out soon and it’ll move on.
He played scared well today though.

NoisyBrain · 29/07/2026 19:37

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's ridiculous that Ian would be in the same block as serial-killer Gray!

the80sweregreat · 29/07/2026 19:39

Noisy, apparently it’s not uncommon for prisoners to be all mixed up. I thought it went by categories, but it’s not
( see below for an explanation of it all , as I thought the same , that they would be segregated!)

Shellingbynight · 29/07/2026 19:42

But the ridiculous thing here is that Ian is put on the same block as the serial-killer-father of the child he paralysed. It seems extremely unlikely that would ever happen because it would place Ian at risk of serious harm.

Shellingbynight · 29/07/2026 20:02

I've just finished watching. So now Eve knows George's secret so she can threaten Nicola with that, and Nicola has nothing over her and Suki. (Suki's pouffe!)

I wouldn't say George killed his dad though, any more than I'd say Chelsea was responsible for Jordan's accident.

the80sweregreat · 29/07/2026 20:04

George was going to die anyway! If George knew about the cctv footage , he wouldn’t have told Eve anything.
Arrr! They don’t communicate well on EE do they !!
( although he would have made her delete it )

Ah I see. I didn't realise that, though @Shellingbynight makes a good point about the specifics of Ian's connection to Gray!

Alucard55 · 29/07/2026 20:22

George didn't technically kill Eddie though did he? I don't get all the hand wringing he was a horrible man now he's dead.

the80sweregreat · 29/07/2026 20:25

It does seem ridiculous that Ian is where gray is, but EE likes poetic licence don’t they ! Same with Sharon and Chrissie too isn’t it. Only one hospital and only one prison is available near by! lol

Shellingbynight · 29/07/2026 20:28

No, George didn't kill Eddie. He just watched him die. And if he hadn't died at that particular moment, he would have died soon afterwards.

As you say, a lot of handwringing over not much (same with 'Chelsea shouted at Jordan so it's all her fault').

the80sweregreat · 29/07/2026 20:35

I do feel for Chelsea. We have all been a bit short with children at times. Of course the ones on EE never have mostly because they put them in the kiddie cupboard ! it is a bad storyline and the woman gets all the blame 🙄
( I know it’s not real ! lol)

Shellingbynight · 29/07/2026 20:42

I agree with you, I don't know how this gets to be Chelsea's fault although I realise she feels guilty about it. The whole thing is daft, just to facilitate the ridiculous Gray storyline.

the80sweregreat · 29/07/2026 20:44

They could have had Ian in prison for evading taxes or something, but it had to involve Gray.
Phil was in with Ravi once too. They do like a prison story

hotmumshit · 29/07/2026 20:48

Was Wadey in charge when Hollyoaks kept on bringing back Silas the serial killer?? Like every year he'd come back for more murders 🙄🙄 it went on and on

cramptramp · 29/07/2026 20:51

Only in EE do people go and sit in public drinking neat spirits when they are a bit fed up. It’s been going on for many years and is bizarre behaviour.

the80sweregreat · 29/07/2026 20:53

Maybe Gray will build a tunnel in a day and do a runner.
I did laugh when Ian said ‘ what can I do ?’ And he said ‘ make a run for it !’ .. Ian in jail isn’t right though. I’m no fan , but it’s the normal home for a Mitchell or a Ravi type! Although many characters have ended up in there or mostly in hospital! It’s dangerous being a soapy character

the80sweregreat · 29/07/2026 21:04

I’ve often gone off to the local park with a bottle of vodka to drown my sorrows ., oh hang on..no, I haven’t!
Not even as a teenager. ( pubs and clubs and parties , different matter.. )
Can’t drink anymore though , can’t handle the hangovers! unlike people on EE who drink every single day despite not having any money or run their own bar yet go elsewhere to drink ( Nicola today )

hotmumshit · 29/07/2026 21:07

Ive got a bottle of wine for when dd goes to sleep 😩😩

12%

the80sweregreat · 29/07/2026 21:09

I did a lot more drinking years ago, but I really can’t these days. Not sure what happens there. Old age in my case I assume.

Shellingbynight · 30/07/2026 08:52

They have to drink on a bench so someone can find out their deepest secrets. If they were like us and sat on the sofa, the plots would grind to a halt😆

Who was looking after Ivy. She wasn't with Nicola in the office was she? and certainly not with George. Surely Nic hasn't palmed her off with someone already.

It looked like Shaz's wig hair was shorter yesterday than the previous day.
