So, Sarah's been arrested for killing Theo, Kit is trying to get her out of prison without implicating himself, (and is desperate to pin it on Gary,) and Gary and Maria are at loggerheads after Gary decided to help Sarah cover her tracks!

Swain is as useless as ever, constantly talking very loudly about any case she's working on, and in front of as many people as possible!

Betsy has had a stroke, after engaging in non-fatal strangulation during sex with Dylan, and Dylan's in trouble for it, even though Betsy doesn't blame him. Sean (his dad) is trying to blame anyone but him, even Brodie!

Most other storylines/characters seem to be fairly quiet at the moment, but I'm sure they will touch on them again soon...

Yes Connie back with her gran and she also got a mention recently, I think when they were visiting the Platts baby.

Even if Connie doesn’t reappear as a baby her character remains so that future scriptwriters can bring her back as a teenager / adult to visit Auntie Carla? Makes sense doing things this way then having randoms appear with no backstory that we are aware of.

@TheignT No one is suggesting a community without children but Corrie goes into overdrive with almost every story these days.

Actually I normally like Lauren but if you have committed to staying with a vulnerable person till a carer returns then you stay. Ironic about Lauren dragging her out of bed to go to the toilet in a hospital with nurses about and then leaving her alone without access to a toilet. Sorry Laurens got it wrong big time what with assaulting Dylan and letting Betsy down.

No use volunteering to stay with the vulnerable person and then clearing off. She's neither used nor ornament to Carla if Carla can't rely on her.

But there aren't loads of babies, there are children from toddlers to teenagers. Seems quite normal to me.

I hope they don't report Lauren to the police, she made a mistake like Dylan did. I don't think prison is the answer for that sort of thing. If it is no wonder the prisons are overcrowded.

I imagine Lauren had a chaotic childhood and doesn't think things through. She acts impulsively.
Maybe Kit could mind Betsy when the speech therapist is there. Speech ferapist in his case.
I think he might fall in love with Beffany.

Surely someone /adult ..Lisa even would have realized this was going to be a triggering time for Lauren.

If she was there , Betsy would have still had an accident as she would not have been able to lift her to the commode

When I was a carer we always worked in pairs when we had these type of jobs.

Think about it as if Betsy was a toddler and someone promised her mum she'd stay with her till mum got back. Would it be ok for her to decide to go off to the shops?

When Betsy condition was worse than it is now. Regardless if Lauren couldn't look after her she shouldn't have offered.

I don't think Lauren would realise what looking after Betsy would entail. I have two family members who needed long term personal care...it's very demanding. Did Lauren grow up in care? (Please don't give her a back story).

She grew up with a racist criminal father from what I remember. I don't think Carla was expecting her to be a full-time carer, I think she said she'd be gone for two hours.

Yes, Lauren came in with her father who was racist towards Muslims I think it was and they got Max in their group and I can’t remember if he torched a van or torched Speed Dahl or both

I dont really understand how Kit can get Gary put away. Can't Gary just go and collect the piece of pipe and dispose of it somewhere else?

Looks like Kit is going to have a problem throwing Gary under the bus if Gary doesn't 'confess.' (That he aided and abetted Sarah.)

He should be putting in a complaint to Head of Weatherfield police about Kits’s conduct i.e. being corrupt and biased, it is becoming annoying

Kit is going to bring himself down sooner or later. And Lisa ought to be sacked too. She’s nearly as unprofessional. That new tough nut female officer should see right through them both.

There was an episode where Connie’s grandmother rang Carla to say she was out of hospital so could take Connie back. Lisa & Carla said their goodbyes to Connie on screen.
