On the surface, JESS is the ultimate yummy Mummy, she has a loving husband , adorable kids and a tight net group of friends all living in posh London

But when JESS’s baby is rushed to A&E things quickly unravel

one of the friendship group Liz is a medic who treats a little girl and she suspicious how she got the injury

LIZ has got to follow protocol as a doctor but she doesn’t realise how quickly it spirals and there is no going back

To make things harder, LIZ and JESS are not that good friends

they’ve kind of fallen out of each other’s lives

jess is played by Diane Kruger and Liz by our fav JJ - Jo Joyner

The party was for the older child, who was born at the same time as one of JJ children so this makes sense. Although given the circumstances, I would not be going!

Also JJ wouldn’t tell her husband like that!

I'm quite enjoying this, but am wondering why they filmed some of it in Hungary. I find it quite jarring, because it's very obviously in the UK, then suddenly isn't 🫤

Miranda Hart was the first person I remember seeing using the 4th wall, didn't like it then and still don't now .

This is quite good but in dramas they always have to make practically every character look suspicious . It didn't occur to me the older child looked guilty , am slow to catch on !

I'm getting mixed up with all the little boys and their names! And I was getting a bit confused with the husbands on the holiday!

I was confused by the dads too. The one having the IVF spotted Jess with a man , was that Jess’s own husband she was kissing or a different man? They all look alike. The one who threw his wife in the pool is annoying and clearly jealous of the couple who hired the villa for them all.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure if she saw her cheating , but I didn’t see who he was.

Jess's whispery voice reminds me of that weird teacher in Happy Valley, all gaspy and too quiet.
I do wish when they keep going on about the Dr friend dropping them in it someone would saying repeatedly and firmly 'it's her job she didn't have a choice and her boss told her to anyway'.

Liz’s consultant boss is a mean looking one. He’d have seen her sacked if she hadn’t got the social services out I bet ( or suspended or something )

I'm not sure that in the "real world' such an incredibly diverse group of people would still all be such good friends a decade on.
I did NCT classes with my now nearly 19 yo and we all went our separate ways about 19 months later.
I wasn't rich enough I guess!

I didn’t even speak to anyone much at my anti natal classes at all ( long time ago now ) Made a nice friend at mum and toddler group with DS 2 , but that was it really.
I felt that nobody was really interested tbh.
Most people just wanted their own family around.

I wonder where their families are you'd think be better to leave kids with aunties or grandparents rather than some odd pals from antenatal class.

Surprisingly for a Channel 5 production, I'm actually rather enjoying it accepting that there's lots of holes in the story line as usual.

Rather enjoying the glimpses of the smart houses and neighbourhood as well.

I’m loving it. She had to make a hard choice but someone hurt that baby to cause that kind of brain damage
