Blondeshavemorefun · 09/06/2026 13:37

starts next week sun 14 June
on sun mon tue and same following week so 6 parts

On the surface, JESS is the ultimate yummy Mummy, she has a loving husband , adorable kids and a tight net group of friends all living in posh London

But when JESS’s baby is rushed to A&E things quickly unravel

one of the friendship group Liz is a medic who treats a little girl and she suspicious how she got the injury

LIZ has got to follow protocol as a doctor but she doesn’t realise how quickly it spirals and there is no going back

To make things harder, LIZ and JESS are not that good friends

they’ve kind of fallen out of each other’s lives

jess is played by Diane Kruger and Liz by our fav JJ - Jo Joyner

FYI, this was on Paramount in 2025. It was filmed in Richmond upon Thames and Budapest with a bit of London. I can’t remember much apart from spotting the U.K. based locations.

sprigatito · 09/06/2026 13:44

It was crap

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/06/2026 14:04

I’m sure that I have read the book, but I can’t remember the story at all.

Kipperandarthur · 14/06/2026 21:00

I’m in. Let’s see what this one’s like.

IAmKerplunk · 14/06/2026 21:09

Agh forgot about this so starting it 10mins in 🤦🏽‍♀️ as can’t rewind

Gloriia · 14/06/2026 21:18

I don't undertand how she could not get off the loo but could unlock the door. Must have long arms or tiny cubicles.

the80sweregreat · 14/06/2026 21:29

So true about the door lock! Didn’t think of that.

IAmKerplunk · 14/06/2026 21:30

Some cubicles are very small!

I’m liking it so far

the80sweregreat · 14/06/2026 21:33

It was an intriguing book I think but I just can’t remember much about how it progresses.
Which is annoying me.
I do remember thinking that Betsy wasn’t a very nice name for a baby : sorry any Betsy’s on here! Unusual name.

the80sweregreat · 14/06/2026 21:35

The man in the plain green shirt was in the UK The office.

FannyCradocksDoughnut · 14/06/2026 21:52

Gosh this all escalated quickly! Is this what would really happen!?

the80sweregreat · 14/06/2026 21:54

I suppose that Betsey is seen as in danger , so they would have to get this emergency order in place straight away.

Gloriia · 14/06/2026 22:09

Yes though I don't think a doctor wouod tell her own dh all about it, patient confidentiality and all that and then attend the family party.

I'll watch if to see what happens but I mean the loo incident was odd and it's gone downhill from there.

RedRiverShore6 · 14/06/2026 22:16

I quite enjoyed this on Paramount. It’s typical channel 5 twaddle

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 14/06/2026 22:22

I’m watching this on delay but have definitely read the book. It’s the same author as Anatomy of a Scandal but I can’t remember much of it now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/06/2026 07:41

Just watching last bit now - agree toilet bit was weird

when dad told the kids they were in hospital the eldest son to me looked guilty

it doesn’t seem to be the mum , not sure about dad. He seemed very concerned to take to hospital when screaming (equally the child over his shoulder wasn’t making that noise ) so does he know more ?

or back to eldest son. Did he do something

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/06/2026 08:11

And yes JJ had to report /tell ss as that’s her job and to protect children

Liz said that she hadn’t seen Jess for a long time ( I think she said this? ) yet she was invited to the party.
Why didn’t Jess tell her husband that Betsy had a bleed on the brain?

purpleme12 · 15/06/2026 10:17

Must be part of the mystery mustn't it

1reason · 15/06/2026 11:32

Enjoying this so far. Good believable characters. Like the use of story flashbacks.
Intrigued to find out what actually happened to baby Betsy.
Watched first 3 episodes so now have to wait until next week for more!

ilovebrie8 · 15/06/2026 11:53

I’m watching it.
I find Jo Joyner really irritating just my view not a fan of hers.
I wonder if one of the sons did something to the baby.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/06/2026 12:18

I think it’s the eldest son @ilovebrie8. He def looked guilty when dad said in Hosp.

wonder why dad was so drunk /over the limit knowing had 20 kids etc at a birthday party they were hosting the next day
