So finally the Megan/Will storyline is coming to an end! Sam is still not well though, poor lad...

Connor-Swain and Fit Kit are busy trying to find Theo's killer, and everyone Todd is close to is taking it in turns to babysit him!

Tim is trying to come to terms with the realisation that the thing he had with an older woman (Trisha) 40 years ago, (when he was 14) was actually abuse...

Shona's sister Jodie has managed to push herself into Daniel's house (and his life,) and seems to flit from place to place, with no actual luggage or money!

I know there's probably more... Smile

Weatherfield only have two officers on duty ! it is farcical for a murder investigation isn’t it. Especially as Lisa isn’t the best at it most of the time.

RockinCara · 17/06/2026 12:34

I can’t believe they’ve been dragging all this out since Xmas. I’ve criticised them in the past for doing things too quickly, but this is tedious! They seem to do this with big murder plots. The Phelen (sp?) one went on forever too!

JewelleryCat · 17/06/2026 12:53

Since Christmas? But Theo was murdered in April wasn’t he?

RockinCara · 17/06/2026 14:04

Yes but it was all building up since Debbie’s wedding right after Xmas, only it was “who will it be?” rather than “who did it?”

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 17/06/2026 15:10

I couldn’t care less who killed Theo now, the moment has gone! On another note my dd pointed out that Debbie reminds her of an lol doll, she’s not wrong !

Andepeda · 17/06/2026 10:24

Gary and Sarah know who murdered Theo, I think they're protecting someone, a youngster perhaps. Miles?

I think it’s Kit, by accident but I thought Harry last week!

waitresswalled · 17/06/2026 15:51

We find out on Monday who did it apparently.

the80sweregreat · 17/06/2026 15:57

Gareh and Sarah are acting as if they are having an affair though. In plain sight! No wonder Gary’s partner is suspicious of him ( not sure of her name or if she is married to him. , sorry )

zanahoria · 17/06/2026 17:18

The reveal will involve at least one person who has told a lot of lies when it would have been easier to tell the truth

Being sectioned that quickly is definitely believable, although they didn't specify which section he was held under. It would be for assessment originally.

Friend of one of my kids certainly was in hospital and on meds very quickly. He didn't get a firm diagnosis quickly but they said it was psychosis possibly schizophrenia. He responded really well to the meds and was home in a couple of weeks.

Better episode tonight. IMO.

That whole scene with Brodeh and those lads seemed a bit pointless. I wonder if it's the beginning of another 'bad lads' saga. 🙄

Kirk saying the 'girls' may be lying in a ditch somewhere, and pretending he didn't know what 'lying in a ditch' meant was ridiculous.

Glad the Kev/Carl/Ronnie argument is coming to a close. But now Carl has decided to turn over a new leaf and has put the gun back, Jodie has gone and nicked it! I wish she would turn it on herself ... LOL did I say that out loud?!

The scenes with Sarah and Todd were nice.

Had to laugh at Tyrone saying 'I've got 3 kids at home!' when Carl was holding them 'hostage.' We only ever see one. (Hope.) I think I've seen Dorin 3-4 times this year, and I don't think I've seen Ruby at all this year. Where is she?! And yes, where is Abi???

Betsy getting into the 'London College Of Fashion' ??? I don't think I've ever heard her express an interest in 'fashion.'

Hmmm, I was also a bit Hmm at the scene where Debbie pretended she was seriously ill/didn't recognise anyone (in last night's episode,) and said 'ha ha ha fooled ya!' And in tonight's they did a similar thing with Sam.. 'What's my name?' he asked Nick as he was about to fill in an application form... 'Ha ha, only joking!' This ribbing of mental health and brain illnesses/disorders is a bit off.

I think Sam is doing what Sarah Connor did in Terminator 2, pretending to be better so he can get out. (Although Sarah was actually OK, they just didn't think she was because she kept going on about cyborgs taking over the earth!)

The drawings Sam has done freaked me out. They were good though!

Angry Debbie 'get out of my sight, the pair of you!' made me laugh. Reminded me of my mum when she was pissed off with me and my brother when we were fighting, or pissing about! 😆

Betsy started working, or maybe work experience, at the factory as she was studying something about fashion/clothes. So I'm assuming A level or BTEC and that's how she got her place in London.

Ruby was definitely there a few weeks ago when Hope was being a brat about how many cakes she wanted at Roy's.

Yes that is very bad. I've worked in murder incident rooms and it's nothing like that.

TheignT · 17/06/2026 18:06

I thought the "holiday" scenes were awful. Let's picture five old blokes having a pretend holiday and young female staff member being required to get dressed up to serve them while being ogled. People would be up in arms. Poor Ryan.

AntonNewcombesHat · 17/06/2026 18:15

I remember Betsy making outfits for her course when Becky was there & she did a catwalk in the front room. And does she still work in Underworld?

Oh, did she? I don't remember that LOL. It must have been a short lived storyline. 👀 And I don't think I have heard her mention applying.

It's funny how random bits stick in your mind sometimes and other bits get totally forgotten. I've got a mind like a sieve a lot of the time but sometimes I do remember a throwaway line. Good that we can fill bits in for each other.

MrsPapillon · 17/06/2026 18:49

There is no way Sam’s on Risperidone, he’s far too alert and lucid. I wish they’d make it realistic.

It’s all bonkers, makes a mockery of what is a horrendous time for patient and family.
If they made it realistic, it couldn’t be shown in a soap. They should have left this story line well alone.

For those interested, Section 2 is usually the first section, for observation and treatment, it’s 28 days. It’s under the MH Act, and enforced when a patient is “a danger to themselves or others.” My relative was detained under this, but it took 3 psychiatric doctors and a specialist social worker to examine him, before sectioning him. My relative was released after three weeks, under the care of the Early Intervention Team, who have been amazing.

If a patient isn’t deemed well enough to go home after 28 days, a section 3 is issued, which can last much longer.

Harry's getting posher with every new head.

Sarah’s very posh though I think

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 17/06/2026 19:22

I actually found Kirk funny when he said so innocently that they might be lying it a ditch. I think because he did realise what he was actually saying 🤣

Sarah is more like Upper Working Class/Lower Middle Class now. She was working class right up to the last decade really. It's having the P.A. job. It's made her posh. Grin
