So finally the Megan/Will storyline is coming to an end! Sam is still not well though, poor lad...

Connor-Swain and Fit Kit are busy trying to find Theo's killer, and everyone Todd is close to is taking it in turns to babysit him!

Tim is trying to come to terms with the realisation that the thing he had with an older woman (Trisha) 40 years ago, (when he was 14) was actually abuse...

Shona's sister Jodie has managed to push herself into Daniel's house (and his life,) and seems to flit from place to place, with no actual luggage or money!

I know there's probably more... Smile

Does Will want to be caught by talking to Megan through his headset? If he wanted to keep it a secret, he’d be talking to her in his bedroom surely

Now I don’t know the difference between psychosis and schizophrenia but I thought Sam was having psychosis like Carla went through unless it’s the same thing, just a different name

the80sweregreat · 16/06/2026 09:47

Do you ever see the bedrooms at the pub ?
I agree that Will isn’t being discreet.
I thought that after his chat with Tim and so on he had decided that he was being groomed and had ditched Meghan for good, but I have missed a few episodes out and clearly he hasn’t done.

Shellingbynight · 16/06/2026 10:19

In the old days you saw bedrooms, Shelley was shown in the bedroom as part of the Charlie storyline. But I don't remember seeing the bedrooms in years.

I assume they are just building up Megan's court case into a will Will testify against her or will he or not thing.

It is tedious

Megan like Carl should just move on

Both of them are being given needless encores

MrsPapillon · 16/06/2026 11:43

Where exactly is the Chariot Square hotel? It used to be a taxi ride away from the street, but suddenly it’s a distance that’s worth chasing someone for a can of lager.

Can I also second Nick’s horrifically painful ham-acting? 🤦🏻‍♀️

OnTheBoardwalk · 16/06/2026 12:17

We saw the upstairs living room for the pub again this week in Classic. Surely Will would be up there if not his bedroom rather than the pub shouting Megan’s name?

AmusedMaker · 16/06/2026 12:36

The ‘holiday’ in the hotel basement was just ridiculous. I couldn’t think of anything worse!
I can understand Debbie not wanting to go abroad in case she wandered off and got lost. but why didn’t they just book a weekend away in Blackpool or somewhere? At least she’s fairly local so wouldn’t have been so worried.

I think Meghan's other victim, from her previous school, was mentioned recently.

He'll hopefully be a surprise witness in court.

Psychosis is one of the symptoms of schizophrenia.

You can be suffering from psychosis without being schizophrenic though.

Edited for clarity.
AFAIK psychosis is a primary symptom of schizophrenia, although if its controlled the psychosis would hopefully stop.
So you can't be schizophrenic without some psychosis.
But you can have psychosis without schizophrenia.
Hope that makes sense.

DaisyStarburst · 16/06/2026 13:42

Anyone can have an episode of psychosis, maybe due to stress or lack of sleep and there are illnesses like schizophrenia and bipolar where psychosis is part of the illness. It takes a psychiatrist to know the difference and give a diagnosis. I thought Sam had been diagnosed too quickly they would usually observe you in hospital for a while before giving a diagnosis.

JewelleryCat · 16/06/2026 14:07

Ah so maybe Sam wouldn’t have been sectioned and started on meds as quickly as Corrie has shown? Thanks for the information all 🙂

Will received a text from the other lad but it was Megan pretending to be him

I've got an audiology appointment next month! Grin Not a moment too soon.

Being sectioned that quickly is definitely believable, although they didn't specify which section he was held under. It would be for assessment originally.

This is it. They would only give a diagnosis of schizophrenia after an extended assessment in hospital and possibly afterwards too, as Sam would normally be followed up by Early Intervention in Psychosis team for up to 3 years.

Well, that's annoying, I was hoping she was going to have at least half the school library thrown at her with all the evidence/witnesses.

I wonder if we'll have to endure the court hearings for her or it'll be another wotsername Swain's original wife situation.

I didn't think the medical/psychiatric staff with Sam seemed terribly realistic. It's all too dramatic.

JellyBeanSpring25 · 16/06/2026 17:09

Anyone seen the trailer for next week?

I’ve mentioned on here before about a close relative who was recently sectioned. No psychiatrist would diagnose so quickly, it can take months, sometimes years of treatment and consultations before a diagnosis. And sometimes it’s a one off psychotic episode, and no diagnosis is given. Trust Corrie to mess this up. I’m not watching it for a few weeks because this story line is so sensitive and if there going to do this, they need to do it properly. I still enjoy reading all your comments though x

Im sorry you're going through that. Sometimes the storylines are too close to home.

I agree that it's too quick for a diagnosis.

Yes I have

DaisyStarburst · 16/06/2026 17:42

I've been sectioned for psychosis in bipolar, it's very frightening and as well as taking longer to diagnose the medication doesn't work that quickly, what they give you makes you doped up too. I'm finding it triggering but at the same time I want to watch it so see how they do it.

RockinCara · 16/06/2026 21:05

Debbie’s holiday set looks like a nasty episode of Don’t Tell the Bride!

Me. But it didn’t give much away! It’s surely too obvious that it would be Sarah or Garrreh. Who would they be protecting? Todd? He did run back out of the taxi. And he’d asked Garrreh to duff up Theo.

JewelleryCat · 16/06/2026 21:24

Where is Abi? First mention of her for months

RockinCara · 16/06/2026 21:54

They might be “dark” but Sam suddenly seems to be an incredibly talented artist!!
