Can't believe we're on a new thread already. Filling up so fast these days!

Brief summary:

Todd has finally left the dreadful Theo, (after he badly beat up Todd,) but Theo is not keen on leaving him alone (although he has been told to by the police.)

Carla and Lisa (Swain) are planning on getting married very shortly.

Carl has been trying to extort money out of Summer for information, as he knows Theo killed Billy. (Summer knows this now too as Theo cornered her in the shop and told her as much, threatening to 'bury her too.') Summer is - very sensibly - not giving Carl a penny until Theo is arrested!

The ghastly Megan (Trainer) seems to have vanished, so Sam is relatively safe for now, but Sam has been having hallucinations and keeps seeing Will there - coming at him - when Will is nowhere near. Toyah, Leanne, and Eva have tricked Megan into meeting her (by sending a text from the burner phone Megan gave Will, and pretending to be Will...) Not sure what they're going to do when they meet her!

Ben Driscoll has just found out the man he knew as dad is not his bio father, and Jim McDonald is actually his father (so he is.)

The effervescent Debbie is declining a little bit more by the week, but is still in fighting spirit, and is seeing Carl for the parasite he really is. The gorgeous Ronnie is always by her side. Carl has just decided to cause a flood in Debbie's hotel by leaving the taps running in one of the rooms, after she told him he was very difficult to love, and refused to let him have half the hotel after he threatened to report Ronnie to the police for hitting him.

Shona's annoying sister Jodie is causing trouble all over the place! She's stolen Lisa's police badge, and a girl she uses to be a nanny for has turned up. Jodie is not happy about this!

Probably a bit more is happening, but I'm sure it will come up soon. Smile

After the hype of the whodunnit murder and flashforward it’s all really boring now.

Gingercar · 12/05/2026 08:58

My mum was like that too. I used to get really frustrated with her, cross sometimes, because she’d do such stupid things sometimes. I didn’t realise what it was at the time. I wish I could go back in time now. The doctors never really explained it for years.

But you didn't know. Don't beat yourself up.

JewelleryCat · 12/05/2026 09:18

I don’t get why Jodie was in Ken’s house either, did she think she was going to squat there with everyone who lives there?

1reason · 12/05/2026 09:34

@Illjusthavethebreadsticks

Yes,and we still have no clear idea ' whodunnit'...think this story may drag on for weeks with the dynamic detective duo at the helm!

JohnBullshit · 12/05/2026 09:40

At least if Will is away from the street, we'll have a definite answer to the question of whether Sam's repeated menacing sightings are real or hallucinated. I'd assume it was usually the latter, but the way they mess around with timelines, it's hard to be sure.

Deadringer · 12/05/2026 09:52

Yes maybe what Jodie found was the key to Daniel's flat. Hopefully she will sneak in there and he will murder her and they will both be gone. Or perhaps he will persuade her to don Sinead's cardigan and a blonde wig and they will live happily ever after.

She was in Hollyoaks and in Waterloo Road before she was in corrie

Oh yeah sorry. I mean I've not seen her in anything else since she left Corrie.

Just watched tonight's episode, no spoilers, but it is actually quite a good one tonight. Smile

@SabreIsMyFave
Thought so too...but a bit far fetched!

Myrealnameisbetty · 12/05/2026 10:09

I could see that it was a key Jodie took from the drawer and yes very likely it's for Daniel's flat. Surely Daniel knows it's possible that Ken could need to go into his flat to pick up something of Bertie's while he's away on holiday. 🙄

Potential for yet more silly plot twists so while it pains me to say it I'm looking forward to the next enthralling episode. 🫤

Jodie has arrived to mind Ken since Cassie has not been seen for months? Poor Will is not going to have a good summer and his Olympic dreams won't come true. The only potential girlfriend for him is Hope.

Couldn't Corrie have found a young actor who at least looked like he could be a runner? When we did see him run, he looked like a sack of spuds!

I don't watch Eastenders but see it won a BAFTA. No danger of Corrie doing same.

The way he lumbers about is hilarious !

Surprised they had 2k in the safe as most people pay by card. Meghan will take off now I guess never to return with the ill gotten gains. It’s sad she gets away with what she did though.

Plus all the drinks they give away on the house

the80sweregreat · 12/05/2026 10:52

Yep, 2k seems a lot of money for them as a float.
Maybe it was from Carla’s wedding , although I think they paid by card for the wine as well as well as the free drinks of course. Which goes on daily!

LesserSpottedCharacter · 12/05/2026 11:06

That's a fair point about cash in the safe @the80sweregreat .

David's rape storyline must have happened during the years I wasn't watching. How did Jodie know about it? I missed what she said to him.

I felt for Sam when he was picking up the bits that had fallen out of his telescope.

I’ve not watched it yet, but I feel it will be all about Will in the taxi, Tim will somehow start a conversation about how he too was groomed - hopefully make them both realise and come to terms with their situations 🤞🏻

SabreIsMyFave · 12/05/2026 12:20

Agree also, about the £2K 'float.' It seems a lot. Especially (as some people have said) that they give away loads of drinks 'on the house!

OP posts:
Gingercar · 12/05/2026 12:29

Will did go off in a taxi, which always suggests they’re gone for a while/good. But surely they’ll be having a lost person hunt for the paedo and will?
Incidentally why would anyone get a taxi when there’s a team that would take them there more easily and cheaper? Streetcars would have long gone bust!

the80sweregreat · 12/05/2026 13:55

Considering how worried they were about Will and how he has protected his abuser , I’m shocked that nobody went with him to wave him off ( and make sure he got to the right platform for Scotland)
They are suspicious of him as well as concerned , he is only 16 too. Ben just sits around accusing people and not doing a lot , they could have spared him for a few hours!

I wondered if Sam was still seeing things and Will wasn’t actually there. Yep agree with PP Tim Nice but dim will give him a pep talk. Though I do think Megan has run off with the money and won’t be there

Yeah, I thought it was odd how they are all just fine with Will going alone to Scotland. Even if Tim sees him onto the train, Will could still get off a couple of stops up the line, and get a train to somewhere else.

I think Sam was hallucinating again. Will wasn't there.

Haven't watched corrie in ages

Well done Tim! Although I'm very impatient and would've been sighing non stop at those temporary lights!

TipsyPeachSnake · 12/05/2026 21:00

Tim played a blinder.

I think we will now get a court case with Meghan .
