We're well into Spring 2026 now. CORONATION STREET THREAD. **No spoilers please.**

Can't believe we're on a new thread already. Filling up so fast these days!

Brief summary:

Todd has finally left the dreadful Theo, (after he badly beat up Todd,) but Theo is not keen on leaving him alone (although he has been told to by the police.)

Carla and Lisa (Swain) are planning on getting married very shortly.

Carl has been trying to extort money out of Summer for information, as he knows Theo killed Billy. (Summer knows this now too as Theo cornered her in the shop and told her as much, threatening to 'bury her too.') Summer is - very sensibly - not giving Carl a penny until Theo is arrested!

The ghastly Megan (Trainer) seems to have vanished, so Sam is relatively safe for now, but Sam has been having hallucinations and keeps seeing Will there - coming at him - when Will is nowhere near. Toyah, Leanne, and Eva have tricked Megan into meeting her (by sending a text from the burner phone Megan gave Will, and pretending to be Will...) Not sure what they're going to do when they meet her!

Ben Driscoll has just found out the man he knew as dad is not his bio father, and Jim McDonald is actually his father (so he is.)

The effervescent Debbie is declining a little bit more by the week, but is still in fighting spirit, and is seeing Carl for the parasite he really is. The gorgeous Ronnie is always by her side. Carl has just decided to cause a flood in Debbie's hotel by leaving the taps running in one of the rooms, after she told him he was very difficult to love, and refused to let him have half the hotel after he threatened to report Ronnie to the police for hitting him.

Shona's annoying sister Jodie is causing trouble all over the place! She's stolen Lisa's police badge, and a girl she uses to be a nanny for has turned up. Jodie is not happy about this!

Probably a bit more is happening, but I'm sure it will come up soon.

Yeah, I am enjoying Susie so far! Though several posters said they don't like her (a few threads back.) I guess she is marmite!

He seems to keep calling her from their living room on various phones and leaving messages, which always seems absurd considering how many people live there.

I wish they had wrapped this one up with the abortion reveal, it has always been a daft plot and it is just getting worse

Peggy looks very unwell.
I can’t see why Mel was even with Ben before as he seems very boorish and just tends to shout a lot.
She isn’t perfect, but they were clearly the odd couple when they were together. Hate each other now !

I quite like her but the precocious child thing does seem to get over used.

Never mind the exams, what about his running career now he no longer has a coach?

Will could go in for the ‘ flouncing’ competition and never being able to stay in one place for too long. He would win that.

It would have been a really different storyline to have him be a successful athlete.

Her sister disappeared then came back claiming bad guys took her then somehow let her go but they cannot tell the police just in case the bad guys come back again.

I also note that Sarah has joined their leather jacket and swishy hair gang, Lily will be next

I think the trick with Suzie is that she's not being over-used - she'd get very irritating if she was in our faces all the time, but the odd scene is quite effective imo.

Yeah, me too. Will is very cute when he smile and laughs. It's so rare though, as he's nearly always got a face like a slapped arse. 😆 Usually right before he storms out of the room! 😂

I am surprised that Summer has never tried to find out about her birth parents. Aside from the fact that her adoptive father died, there was her diabetes diagnosis which would surely lead her to question her health history if nothing else.

Didn't she have grandparents who tried for custody when her 1st dad died? Was he her biological father?

They were Drew's parents, he was her adoptive father.

The Jodie story is like a rehash of Becky and the bad people will hurt everyone story. Equally as boring.

If any Corrie writers read this thread, thank you for including Todd saying about Murder on the Orient Express because I mentioned it lol and also, get rid of Jodie, she isn’t giving anything to any plot, we don’t understand her at all, it’s never really been explained about her and Graham from Emmerdale apart from this hard drive which has been all hushed up, the thugs went and I think we would have liked to know what was on this hard drive they were so desperate to get back
