He's named himself but the MiL has got compromising info off the phone so it won't happen.

I think the bumbling useless detective has named himself to get the chop but somehow the irritating snotty mil will have some sway, yes possibly from the phone she made the boss and everyone else hand in (god knows how, passwords seem completely obselete in the tv world).
I don’t think anyone will leave or everyone will - Kelby to go gallivanting with new girlfriend, Esther with her daughter to escape her weird repressed feelings about Archie and Margo to the bloke who’s always hanging off her (is that her ex husband?) and maybe BP will be over?
not sure why I watch these, most of the characters really wind me up 😂

Haven’t really bothered with this series. Watched the first one. They try to make Humphrey & Martha too quirky and interesting (living on a boat 🙄)when they’re actually very average.

I’ll probably watch at some point when I’ve run out of other stuff. They did start an interesting storyline with Martha’s mum and Peter Davison’s character but that was ended very abruptly.

This is my favourite of the Paradises, I like all the characters. I agree the whole Anne being involved in the police station thing is unrealistic though, of course she'd be ineligible in real life. Glad they've moved off the boat, but I hope we're not going to get a load of "hapless Humphrey messes up DIY" storylines in the new house. Love Kelby, he can't go!

Of course Humphrey is falling on is sword and there will be some way they all stay.

Maybe they will find out the financial issues are because the horrible Mr Smith is embezzling police funds

The whole storyline about him having to choose "one person" doesn't make any sense though.
Losing Kelby, or Margo isn't going to save as much money as losing a DS which in itself won't save as much money as losing a DI.

IF (and I think it is a big IF) he was actually given the decision to make, it would be "You need to make £30,000 of savings" or whatever, not "one person".

Yes, I know there's LOTS about it that is completely unrealistic, but this is the one that's annoying me at the moment.

Urgh definitely, he’s not as good looking as he thinks he is and she’s not got a very endearing personality! Either get over yourselves and agree to go out again or just stay away, the lingering looks and angst are quite tedious 😂

Yes he does but Esther dumped him so I don't know what she's getting in such a snit about!

The Archie / Esther story was tedious in the previous series when they were off/ on and it is even worse now

Esther said she feels vulnerable when she's with someone and doesn't want to lose her independence but I'm guessing she's changed her mind as she seems still keen on Archie .
