Can’t see a thread. Anyone watching?

Enjoying reading this thread and everyone's views on it. I won't say a word about it because it's been so long since I saw it on Irish TV I'd have no idea what happened when. Just to agree with some that yes the budget is obviously less compared to the UK series even the prize money on offer is half what the UK is. Ireland is a small country with a population of about 5 million so a lot less licence fee money for rte. I always feel sorry for them having to try and compete with the power house that is the wonderful bbc. In Ireland we also get access to UK TV and of course everyone compares every Irish show to it.

One thing I found amusing about the Irish one is that nearly every young person said they'd use the money for a deposit for a house illustrating the housing crisis here. I do think the Irish one is culturally different and may not appeal as much to UK audiences but I think I preferred it for that reason. I have only seen UK and Irish one so no idea what the US/ Oz ones are like

Irish traitors is so aggressive and combative. I couldn't believe the traitors turning on each other so early on. Eammon was an unpleasant shit though, good riddance.

CrystalMighty · 02/02/2026 19:51

Does anyone else think Faye looks a lot like Britney Spears?!

NorWouldTilly · 02/02/2026 19:56

Ep 6 was … interesting.

The producers must be quite pleased.

IAmKerplunk · 02/02/2026 19:59

Just finished ep6. Brilliant! I am liking that it is more argumentative and not too similar to the Uk version. Gutted only 2 episodes are dropped each week and we can’t watch along together in real time with the thread.

Has a decision been made about when we can mention what has happened in the latest 2 episodes?

Fruitpastelsyum · 02/02/2026 20:05

I haven’t watched yet so not going to read posts

a pp said you can get all episodes on daily motion

Absolutely this- i developed a real hatred for Eamon in episode 5- not because of his gameplay, but he really did come across as a nasty piece of work towards Paudie. Nasty nasty man. Sadly the type that's become associated with the Met (no idea if the Garda has a similar reputation..?)

CharlotteRumpling · 02/02/2026 20:46

Goodness! Never seen a more unpleasant and incompetent bunch of Traitors. Paudie is an absolute bungling idiot, just blurting stuff out and not remrmbering much. Eamon was a shit. Katelyn better than the other two but not by much. And the 3 of them openly having confabs in front of the rest.

Not finding the Faithful v engagimg either. Might not continue with this. Everyone is so huffy.

Hepzibar · 02/02/2026 20:48

It’s utter chaos- never seen traitors like them , in any countries series 😂

OP posts:
CharlotteRumpling · 02/02/2026 20:51

I dont think theres ever been a series where all 3 Traitors have heat on them.

What even was Paudie saying at the round table? I think it's you, Eamonn, so I have voted for Kate? Huh? He looks like he's lost it.
Already miss Rachel's calm and strategy. She should take over!

No don't think they do. There's bad eggs everywhere but I'm not aware of an institutional issue with the gardaí

NorWouldTilly · 02/02/2026 20:58

I suppose it is the traitors being worse, rather than the faithful being smarter than usual?

😄

CharlotteRumpling · 02/02/2026 21:03

Paudie should have tried harder to recruit Andrew, no?

Fruitpastelsyum · 02/02/2026 22:13

Omg just watched

so f ing pleased Eamon and katelyn gone

although I am finding Paudi annoying - what on earth is he doing trying to recruit Andrew when he is suspected

well done Oyin - speaking when you need to and completely naming all three traitors

i thought it was funny Patrick didnt win any of the casino tasks

cant actually believe there is only one Patrick!!

chisanunian · 02/02/2026 22:19

What I find interesting is that they are spending the entire time accusing each other of lying. It doesn't appear to have occurred to anybody that if you don't trust someone, you aren't likely to tell them what you are really thinking. If they are a traitor they could end up murdering you, and you don't want them to know that you suspect them. If the lie is uncovered, everybody is then assuming that if you lied it marks you out as a traitor.

Nobody seems to have mentioned the words 'double-bluff' yet either. Not that there's been any!

CharlotteRumpling · 02/02/2026 22:21

Nick is an arse.
Oyin is impressive.

chisanunian · 02/02/2026 22:21

What amuses me is that the gobshites are now all pointing the finger of suspicion at the quiet ones during the round table.

They're quiet because they can't get a word in edgeways.😂

They haven’t even done a single bluff 😂😂

the traitors I mean - they don’t seem to have a plan

as for katelyn being an expert on teams - I don’t think so!! They were dreadful

I don’t like those men saying they shouldn’t have voted traitor out! Esp as they hadn’t communicated their plan

chisanunian · 02/02/2026 22:29

Agreed, the men appeared to have a Cunning Plan to keep the traitor in for future use, but they neglected to tell any of the womenfolk.

Oh dear. How sad. Never mind. 😁

Yes - I did think maybe that’s how it works in Ireland - men just assuming women will do as they say - and forget to tell them

I think that was a shit plan anyway - how ridiculous

Yes, WTF? I hope a woman wins. Maybe Oyin or Kelley.

I did get the impression that several of the men think they are in charge and only their opinions matter. A bit like the posturing you get round a board table.

Yes - I was thinking ffs stop hogging the floor men - at least Andrew acknowledged Oyins brilliant spot the next night
