Can’t see a thread. Anyone watching?

OP posts:
Htcunya · 24/02/2026 11:28

i do think the ending is better not to reveal who is a traitor or not

Yes, harder for the finalists so more suspense.

I'm glad I'm not alone in not following their arguments about who said what when where and to whom. So tedious.

Siobhan's outfits were too fancy dress at times but she carried them off and I really liked her in the role.

ChoccyJules · 24/02/2026 10:52

Yeah I had no idea. It got worse the more they drilled down at the second table argument!

Phew - they talked so fast and interrupted each other

Fruitpastelsyum · 24/02/2026 12:24

Wickedlittledancer · 24/02/2026 11:23

I also think Siobhan looked a little like she was playing dress up at times, I understand Alan Cummings did it, but Claudia always looks fab, and I’d prefer for Siobhan to develop her own style like in pottery throw down, some of it I felt she looked a bit daft, especially with all the net frills.

Yes it was daft - the neck
frills didn’t work becuase they were paired with normal
clothes - I found it weird

I’ve just finished the last episode. I’m not quite sure why it was so much less gripping than the UK version. I was really put off by all the crying. They all seemed to be having a terrible time and taking the whole thing so personally. It’s a massive turn off. I didn’t like any of those girls by the end of it. Faye and Vanessa and their breakdowns - how are people able to cry so profusely and dramatically with big wet faces like that? I don’t think I’ve cried like that since I was a child 🤣 You wanted Siobhan to step in and remind them all it’s a game! The traitors are obliged to lie to everyone and you will feel used and tricked. Them’s the rules!! I think Ben could have won it if he’d played his cards better - sticking like glue to Nick made him the obvious second traitor.

This is what I mean about it being a psychological fuck up though. We know it's a game, they know it's a game, but I think being immersed in that environment with a load of strangers, away from your family, friends, your home and your normal routine, always watching what you're saying, wondering what people are saying about you when it all goes quiet when you walk into room, not knowing who you can trust and being incredibly frustrated when people don't believe you when you are completely telling the truth... well! I can see why it messes with your head and gets a bit overwhelming. And some of them definitely have it harder than others.

The ones who are murdered seem to be more able to accept it at face value - more of an open the envelope and oh well! kind of attitude. But after a bruising round table when everyone's coming at you, then I think I might be a bit wobbly as well.

SyntheticFluff · 24/02/2026 13:20

Also it must be particularly hard when you don't really feel like you've gelled with anyone.

I agree with this, this is where they two men lost it, they were too close, and once one was rumbled it was obvious who the other one was. Usually we see traitors staying far apart. They were already thick as thieves But they increased their collaboration when Ben came in and publicly so, they also displayed a lot of arrogance, where they clearly thought they were going to win. They over estimated their own abilities and under estimated the women’s.

what I couldn’t get past was Vanessa crying so very much at the end, she was completely and utterly devastated and broken, and it seemed to be Nick going which broke her. Not that he was a traitor. Part of me thinks she knew at that point they were going to win, and it was a stress release.

CharlotteRumpling · 24/02/2026 14:24

Hated the crying.
Why did the two men murder Wilkin when they knew Oyin was Vanessa's ally? They should have murdered Oyin.
Thank goodness my calm queen Rachel Duffy wasn't part of this dull series.

Fruitpastelsyum · 24/02/2026 14:28

I’m an emotionally strong person but I could see myself going to pieces in this atmosphere - I’d get paranoid for sure and wouldn’t fare well

maybe it depends if your a person who relies on relational connections - who knows

yes I was puzzled a bit by how broken Vanessa was - so glad Oyin won! Was rooting for her - although it had seem to have gone a bit lord of the flies between the girls

yes the boys were more than over confident - the counting task!!! That was a big boo-boo on them

Yes that puzzled me - they should have broken the alliance up between Oyin and Vanessa - there wouldn’t have been enough time for the other one Kelly to build trust in the one left which would have worked to their advantage

RipplePlease · 24/02/2026 14:41

Just watched the last episode. Loved it and I’m so pleased with who ended up winning.

shoopdoop · 24/02/2026 15:03

I was glad neither Nick or Ben won as they were unbearably smug and patronising (and possibly sexist!). I wasn't paying enough attention to work out the spats between the women. Maybe we need VAR! Show them the play back and say " look, you did say this to her ....still wanna deny it?" It all seems quite angsty. Also, the stakes were not so high in this series - 44,000 ish euros between three is not life changing.

Fruitpastelsyum · 24/02/2026 17:08

Yes me too didn’t like their smugness and “false” confidence

and so glad it’s not just me with the VAR needed arguments

Oyin had talked about voting faye round the table to Jo - it was edited in the night before (probably on purpose) she denied it - hope she watches that back

I’m sure she knows they are allowed to lie,it’s pretty much the name of the game.

IWantToHibernate · 24/02/2026 17:53

I found it very boring and struggled to finish it, maybe I just have Traitors fatigue.

is it just me who couldn’t see a difference in the colour of the powder (fire pit?)

But she didn’t need to - I genuinely think she didn’t remember

I don’t think she would have had a problem that she considered voting Faye

I couldn’t see it either! Thought it was my tv. Glad Oyin won as she got so much right. Didn’t like the final 2 men as they were too smug.
Was surprised how little the prize fund was

It want a colour thing - it was a reaction thing - so the sizzling if they wanted to banish again

Fruitpastelsyum · 24/02/2026 18:21

“Wasn’t” a colour thing

AlwaysRightISwear · 24/02/2026 19:20

Siobhan's clothes were deeply eccentric but I like her confidence to wear them.

GoldenGumballs · 24/02/2026 19:32

Ben just sat there after Nick was banished no strategy no plan. Think they’d all had enough by then.

TitsInAbsentia · 24/02/2026 20:55

Totally trashed this at the last hurdle by letting people know that Nick and Ben were Traitors - the element of doubt should have been kept in. Whether they'd have kept with their decision to end game or gone on to banish again doesn't matter, if would have at least kept the element of jeopardy up a bit.

Also, another quite physical final task - just as well all the oldies went else they'd have had to make huge modifications!

Maybe they couldn't afford the different colour flames as they'd used up all their budget for that episode on the helicopter. Looks as though they threw in a few fireworks left over from New Year! 🙄😁

GreatName · 24/02/2026 23:46

I lost interest after Paudie left but saw it through because I have nothing else to watch right now 😂 Glad smug Nick didn't win it. Was very glad for Oyin as she's been on the money from day one. Overall very entertaining whilst Paudie was in it but not so much afterwards.

ConstanzeMozart · 25/02/2026 17:14

I agree the narrative and tension didn't seem as strong as the UK one.
I felt like they didn't really finish the episodes on cliffhangers the way they did with the UK ones; I can remember with all of those desperately wanting to watch the next one, and being frustrated if if it wasn't yet available! I never felt like that with this one.
I quite liked the missions being less high-budget; I find all the blowing things up and setting things on fire a bit silly. I also really liked the Irish cultural stuff in them, like the mythology, and the fact that one of them had to do with people being (or not being) Irish speakers.
I did find the mean girls dynamic very unedifying though. I particularly disliked Kelley; she was like a less popular girl carrying favour with the popular cool ones, especially when she made that crack to Joanna about thank you for the shield, but I'm going to vote for you anyway. It was so obviously engineered to get the approval of the cool girls.
I really liked Oyin at first; she was so perceptive and was the only one who thought that the original three could all be traitors. But she went right off the boil until very near the end.
Vanessa was bad-tempered and very rude at times.
Nick was rather arrogant and I'm glad he didn't win. Ben I thought was really showing the strain of being a traitor, which made me like him more.
Overall I'm neither happy nor unhappy about who won.
And I agree, the amount of money once split between them is really not life-changing. Doesn't seem like much reward for all that angst!
I liked Siobhan, didn't mind that she was playing a role – she is an actor, so I would expect her to bring that quality to it – and generally loved her clothes, or at least the fact that she was bold enough to wear them!
