Thought I'd kick it off so we have a new thread for the final leg

Old Thread for the people what likes it all neat 'n' stuff.

OP posts:

Not that this will help, but there's a Bad Wolf website. Looks to be a bit old though.

The way RTD described it on DWC last night, I think, was that when Rose became the Tardis, she spread the Bad Wolf clues through time and space, as a warning to the Doctor that something bad was about to happen. I think, anyway.

JackieNo · 22/06/2008 13:12

More on Wikipedia.

JackieNo · 22/06/2008 13:13

And (possibly slightly more helpfully) here (if you scroll down).

Can we talk about Davros now then? Given that he was quite clearly on Confidential? And his hand was on the next time trailer? (and the laugh, like you say)

Can we can we can we?

OP posts:
TinkerbellesMum · 22/06/2008 15:13

Has anyone studied the Doctor's hand? I thought that bit was funny "I want to know who's hand it was! I'm going to study that hand"

I did notice, when I was looking because I knew, the bones in that hand weren't as visible as David's are.

Just spoke to TBD, he watched it last night with his sons and their uncle, apparently they were saying that the only person missing from the trailer was Jen and are wondering if there's going to be a surprise appearance.

KayHarker · 22/06/2008 15:27

meh. The BBC won't let me view the sodding videos because even though I'm in frigging Birmingham, England (well, spitting distance thereof) I am apparently not in the UK.

I'm guessing this is something to do with an ISp address? bugger.

I think as well there is something huge going to happen with Donna. It's all building up to how important she is. All these things happening around her...she must be more than human!

cornsilk · 22/06/2008 16:24

Yes Donna is going to die isn't she, Rose said she was the most important woman ever born.

I thought that Rose was hinting that she would die in RL as well.

PersephoneSnape · 22/06/2008 16:59

i absolutely hated Donna when she first turned up and i have nurtured that loathing throughout the subsequent ten episodes. I got all teary during this one (and when the italians (?) got sent off to the 'work' camp. I didn't think granpa would stand for that.) but this really made Donna 'work' for me. she can be nasty though (oi! vera dickworth! blah blah clogs/whippets & 'oi! mussolini!') and yes, she does sometimes lapse into some of her characters, but overall, just when i start to like her ...she walks under a lorry! ;) yes. I'm not hopeful for Donnas mortality.. - but it would be nice to have a companion actually DIE on occasion .

mankyscotslass · 22/06/2008 17:04

Maybe "Donna" will die, because that isn't who she really is? She has a hidden purpose or identity?
What do we really know about her?
Her grandad seems to have a love of the stars and space...is there a reason for that? Maybe he knows more than he has said?
And will the Doctor and Rose actually meet?
I think I might drive myself mad before the last two episodes...or my DH will kill me for driving him mad.

Bronze · 22/06/2008 17:19

Shes obviously meant to be important with a name meaning Noble Lady.

RustyBear · 22/06/2008 17:21

I think Donna has been mellowing over the last few episodes under the doctor's influence - she's not been so shouty - but last night she was back to shouting - it showed how being with the doctor has changed her- her grandad had to say to her 'you don't have to shout at the world'

cornsilk · 22/06/2008 18:10

Maybe she's like that annoying teenager in Buffy (Hope?) who turned out to be some kind of key.

RustyBear · 22/06/2008 18:38

The annoyoing teenager was Dawn, cornsilk - a distinction without a difference as Spock would say.

I wouldn't be surprised, seeing how much else RD has got from Buffy....

mankyscotslass · 22/06/2008 18:41

Like a key to the return of the timelords?

TinkerbellesMum · 22/06/2008 19:10

I was hoping that when they closed the entrance to the other dimension Dawn would disappear and Joyce would be alive again.

Can you tell my thoughts on Dawn?

slayerette · 22/06/2008 19:21

Dawn sort of grew on me a little during Season 7 - I had so many Potentials to loathe with a passion by then that she only became mildly annoying in comparison.

Who's Jen, TinkerbellesMum? (bear with me, although I could tell you everything ever about the Buffyverse, I get terribly confused with all the Dr Who strands. I'm still not sure I get the Bad Wolf thing even though I've read the links!

RustyBear · 22/06/2008 19:30

Jen was the Doctor's daughter

slayerette · 22/06/2008 19:35

Thank you! Surely she must be back in the finale?

PersephoneSnape · 22/06/2008 19:58

just started watching from the beginning to check out rose in s1 episode 3 - charles dickens and the gelf zombies, the maid (gwynneth?) says to rose, 'the things you've seen! the darkness! the big bad wolf!'

squee of excitement for the next two weeks...
