I loved the Rose bit but feel that the regeneration bit was done away with too quickly at the beginning - 'Oh, I just took the energy I needed and put the rest in the hand' .

And Donna really was human, until she absorbed the doctor's energy? She obviously was meant to do it, but was not actually 'special' before that and at least the doctor told her mum to let her know occasionally how much she loves her.

Ooh, that relationship didn't last long did it!

I was going to pick desithemaster as my dr Who name, but my capital d isn't working, so it had no impact!

I wish I had put the bloody sub-titles on! I had a sobbing ds fling himself onto me as The Doctor was leaving Rose again.

Have checked, full lyrics here but the lines playing were:

"I let somebody get under my skin,
Long distance losing is all that I've seen,
Now there's a river, Now there's a river."

Just seemed an interesting choice given the character name and the hints that she means more to him.

too many loose ends, all tied up individually. but to 'nicely'
donna is wonderful why do away with her?
what about the other 26 planets? dont they need to be towed home? and seriously, a planet cannot be towed home. without its sun, it would freeze in an instant. they should have have teleported it home. or somesuch. AND the other planets. the doctor isnt just supposed to be the keeper of earth. there are other planets out there. [grr...]

River Song = Alex Kingston in the library episodes, you know, 'oh your so young Dr' and she had her own sonic screwdriver, oh and she knew his full name.

Because it was foretold that someone would die in this episode. In effect, it was Donna .. although I'm sure she'll come back.

She's still wearing the Master's ring, after all ...

and why didnt they have english subtitels for the german bits? we didnt all do german at school.

Yeah the regeneration thing was a bit of an anti climax after the big cliffhanger for the week.

I was a bit hmmmm about whether I liked it or not, it was good but there was something that left me undecided. Did get a bit girly and soppy when they were all stood around the console flying the tardis though.

It definately had the fuzzy factor that RTD loves.

I think she'll come back after David Tennant, though. She mentions that she knew the Doctor when he was 'older' ... which suggests that she'll come back in when James Nesbitt takes the role.

A song playing, line 'now there's a river', whilst acting out a lost love/found love type scene.

Is it an intentional reference to River Song, in the library, who is obviously someone from the Doctor's personal future?

Just speculating that it might be a little teasing hint dropped in to Confidential by RTD.

Stitch - the 2 doctors and donna sent all the other planets home - just reversed the whole thing. When they were pressing all the buttons in the Dalek ship. Quite why they couldn't do that for the Earth I don't know.
