Old Thread for the people what likes it all neat 'n' stuff.

OP posts:
cornsilk · 29/06/2008 20:30

who is married to who? Who is the beautiful assistant?

JackieNo · 29/06/2008 20:32

Lalla Ward.

JackieNo · 29/06/2008 20:33

Here.

JackieNo · 29/06/2008 20:36

Her Wikipedia page - I didn't know she was an illustrator too.

Aitch · 29/06/2008 20:37

you truly are, MI, you adolescent freak.

PortAndLemon · 29/06/2008 20:56

I love the caption on a photograph of Lalla Ward in Tom Baker's autobiography: "Lalla Ward. We were married for a time."

davidtennantsmistress · 29/06/2008 20:56

ok new theory - the hand came off during ep 1 season 2, only his hand re generates?? (long shot granted!)

also hear the noise on the back of donna, & the heart beat - could the woman who was with the master be linked to donna some how?

apparently thou - micky & jackie are both coming back for the final
extra spoiler on bbc 1 just b4 1 tomorrow lunch time.

ah and deffo no new dr here we go girls the proof! pics xmas special spoiler alert don't look if you don't want to know

ah ha no donna in the pics - maybe she dies? rose I think will go back to the other world.

another theory is theres 2 dr's for a while to defeat him

davidtennantsmistress · 29/06/2008 21:06

other theorys incl, rose kisses the dr and stops him regenerating as she has the vortex in her as well???

apparently both dr & rose will travel to bad wolf bay in the next series. (suggests that rose is coming back), also suggest that DT will re generate into someone else but go back (don't know how) for the new series.

LaVieEnRose · 29/06/2008 21:08

I saw a bit of Blue Peter last week () and Gethin (sp?) was shown on set of the final dr who episode because he is inside one of the daleks. Mickey and jackie were definitely there.

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 29/06/2008 21:38

For those of you asking about the scottish accent it was becase Russell T. didn't want to have another Dr with an obviously regional accent after CE and his Manchester accent. Damn shame,

KayHarker · 29/06/2008 22:08

We'll see Bad Wolf Bay again.

Rose kisses the Doctor to stop the regeneration? I've seen all sorts of theories, and I'm a leetle bit of a Rose/Doctor shipper, but that is a grim idea.

OP posts:
cheesesarnie · 29/06/2008 22:30

so is there going to be a new doctor?

JackieNo · 29/06/2008 22:31

It said that 'the most faithful companion' would die, didn't it? So which one is that?

serenity · 29/06/2008 22:34

I don't care how it's done, but DT will return

I'm not ready for a new Doctor.

I've been whizzing around various sites, and I'm more convinced that this is something reversable than not.

Absolutely bloody amazing episode though.

JackieNo · 29/06/2008 22:37

DH and I just watched 'Bad Wolf' and 'The parting of the ways'. Almost as breathtaking when you know what's going to happen as the first time round. But there's definitely a different feel to the Christopher Eccleston doctor - DT is much funnier, more quirky, and CE is more grumpy.

cheesesarnie · 29/06/2008 22:39

i took 'the most faithful companion' as being rose.i love dt

Would have thought it would be obvious to all of you lot at least! She is the (Ma)Donna - the Doctor's mum - and he is the Nightmare Child! (mentioned in the script...)

cornsilk · 29/06/2008 23:35

Are you being serious or winding us up?

UnquietDad · 30/06/2008 00:05

I hope I'm joking!

cornsilk · 30/06/2008 00:08

you tease UQD- I was believing you then!

Here's DT in Takin' over the Asylum circa 1994

Have followed his career ever since!

gizmo · 30/06/2008 09:12

I'll have to join the adolescent freak side, I guess, since I did turn to DH and say 'How embarrassing! Premature regeneration - and in public, too.'

I now have no idea what is going to happen next, beyond a quiet certainty that DT is going to finish the series as the Doctor. Probably something to do with the hand, is my best guess.

Donna Noble: now that's a story I want to see the end of. I keep thinking of the bit in the Doctor's Daughter when she starts on about being 'good with numbers'. At the time I thought it was a bit overwritten, but suddenly it's starting to be rather reminiscent of a certain Time Lord: do you think Wilf/her Mum might be keeping a fob watch for her? Absolutely loved the moment when she sees Captain Jack, though.

Oh Buggeration! I don't approve of wishing my life away but I soooooo want it to be next Saturday.
