Welcome to Thread 5 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far:

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)

Candidates for murder in Episode 6: Ellie, Faraaz, Jade, Matthew, Reece and Sam (Amanda was also a potential but was banished beforehand and Fiona and Stephen cannot be murdered).

The floor is yours…

Maz came across very animated and perceptive on Uncloaked, and it's such a shame he went out early.

Yes, I agree. It’s a shame we didn’t see more of him on the main show.

(I bet he clocked Amanda as a police officer instantly - sure he will have had experience of clueless senior officers!)

Haha yes he was far closer in his theories than she was 😆

Last night's drama was so obviously traitor on traitor. Fiona 1. calling Rachel a liar with no evidence 2. Doing so publically and to Rachel's face and 3. Accusing an under-the-rader player of being a traitor on that flimsy evidence alone - none of these things are faithful behaviour. A faithful might well question the timing and lack of corroboration for Rachel's statement, but they'd discuss it quietly with other faithfuls and take it to the round table. They'd ask questions rather than directly accuse; for Fiona to be so certain on so little evidence makes them both look very guilty.

Interestingly there are two possible corroborations for Rachel's story. Firstly Faraaz (I think?) witnessed that Amanda wanted to speak to Rachel privately. Secondly, there's had been a lot of speculation around the hidden connections between players, meaning there may be someone in there (Reece?) who knows Amanda and can back Rachel up re. Amanda's profession if they choose to.

Stephen'a reaction to the whole thing was hilarious to watch. I'm not sure he has the nouse to navigate this situation to his advantage. I said early on that I wasn't sure how he'd perform under pressure and he's definitely cocked up a few times already.

Lastly, someone one the previous thread said Harriet could be Jessie's mum, and I thought the same thing last night during the round table. Something similar about their mannerisms, a head movement, caught my eye.

I doubt that Harriet and Jessie are related. Harriet's from London I think. Jessie's a northerner. They've got very different accents.
Like previous posters, I think Jessie's great. A logical, thinking faithful. Harriet's a good faithful too, but I honestly don't think they're related.

Namechangerage · 09/01/2026 12:21

I’m still in shock at Fiona 😆 for what it’s worth, I don’t think it was led by producer meddling. Fiona clearly felt threatened by Rachel being privy to secret info to Amanda when she thought she was top dog. It totally messed with her head. Threw her toys out spectacularly!! Cannot wait to see that conversation in the turret!

murasaki · 09/01/2026 12:22

I think the stammer (which I'm still not entirely convinced is real) is making people overlook Jessie, and not listen to what she's actually saying, which is, more often than not, very astute and bang on the money. That and her appearance. She's doing very well at the moment.

Why would she fake a stammer? Especially if it's going to make people overlook her. It would be one thing if she was trying to fly under the radar, but she's openly stating her correct and astute suspicions

Maybe so they don't think she's a traitor and banish her. It would seem an odd thing to fake, granted, but if she's overlooked she lasts longer. She's my favourite at the moment, followed by Harriet.

CharlotteRumpling · 09/01/2026 12:33

Such a frustrating day for Team Traitor, which I always am. Rachel has been playing well, but cocked up with that reveal drawing attention to herself. Fiona is just batshit and has drawn attention to herself too. Stephen is incompetent.
All the ex police on Traitors have always been unimpressive and Amanda no exception.
Wish Harriet had been made a Traitor rather than nutty Fiona.

Cushylife · 09/01/2026 12:34

hoxtonbabe · 09/01/2026 11:34

Ugh! I detest Amanda, as I do Rachel. I don’t usually get this het up about contestants but these two have raised my BP.

Amanda waffling on about all her fantastic policing skills only to be totally off the mark and confiding in a sodding traitor, the issue now is because Rachel holds a lot of sway and is liked ( this has been mentioned by banished/murdered contestants) if Rachel decides to keep Amanda’s theories alive then Jade is a gonner, and for nonsense reasons at that. Luckily the fight between Rachel and Fiona might mean Jade is no longer enemy number one as Rachel will probably go gunning for Fiona now.

Jade needs to stop being so childish about it all and now Amanda has gone I hope she plays a better game.

Rachel is so unlikeable and from day one I didn’t like her so I hope she doesn’t win even more so as she kept gunning for Ross and trying to trip him
up etc. I get all traitors do that but there was something about the way Rachel was going about it that bothered me. Fiona is annoying and somewhat unhinged but boy was she good to watch last night😂

That said the way she intentionally screwed whatshisname over with the skull collection task saying it’s a nice day so just decided to take her time and enjoy herself etc is unforgivable and deserves whatever nastiness thrown at her online/in the real world… I’ve never seen any contestant behave so selfishly and carelessly in a task.

I don’t care who wins as long as it’s not Fiona or Rachel..

deserves whatever nastiness thrown at her online/in the real world You didn't really mean that did you? Have you forgotten this is a game?

Cushylife · 09/01/2026 12:39

xsquared · 09/01/2026 11:35

When Rachel told others about Amanda?

Except it was what Amanda told her to do if she was eliminated. Granted, she could have told the other Traitors her plan first.

Rachel's mistake was underestimating Fiona's batshittery and how little she trusted her.

So you think Amanda should control Rachel's strategy? Rachel underestimated Fiona - Cucumber Rachel should have been trying to build the illusion of trust and cooperation with Fiona by discussing it with the traitors before telling the faithfuls. Instead her ego took over...we all make mistakes - this was a big one and it did not play in her favour.

I agree they are both really good faithfuls and I'm glad to see them working together a bit. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part!

Bollindger · 09/01/2026 12:41

So glad to have found this thread.
First thoughts Fiona is gone.
If I was a faithfully I would think she was a traitor who was jealous that some else got gossip and didn’t tell her. Once she is revealed as a traitor they will all be so high on we got one, Rachel and Reece get a pass as Fiona was just trying to get faithfuls out.
Rachel then just has to keep acting as shocked and might win@

I obviously don’t mean death threats or rotten eggs thrown at her but just like there are nasty/not so pleasant comments on here about her I’m not sure what difference it is if she gets the same on Twitter/ TikTok or whatever, both of which is online/real time.. this is what I mean by she deserves what she gets.

Yes it’s a game but SHE is playing it in a way that’s making it weird and personal in a way I’ve never seen before so you can’t be surprised if you get it in the neck.

PineappleSunrise · 09/01/2026 12:44

My3dahliasarebloominlovely · 09/01/2026 10:01

I had a family member like Fiona, and her Jekyll and Hyde behaviour is giving me flashbacks. Especially her nasty game playing with Reece - she has been so malicious to him while being beguilingly grandmotherly and caring to his face. She seems to zero in on the vulnerable and stick the stiletto in . I hope Rachel decimates her ....but then how much of my reaction is down to my past experiences with narcissistic rellie?

I have a similar feeling about Rachel - I’ve met a lot of “popular girls” like her who are good at rallying mobs for support when there’s any possibility their own manipulativeness might be exposed.

Her comment about the turret to Ross (based on NOTHING) was a prime example of that, and her sneery laugh and eye roll when Fiona was speaking was another (and yes, the irony that she was being truthful about Amanda while lying about anything else was pretty delicious). She’s used to having hangers-on who do her bidding, and it’s really showing!

CharlotteRumpling · 09/01/2026 12:45

I don't think any of the current traitors will last till the end. There will be recruitments.

MrsLeonFarrell · 09/01/2026 12:45

xsquared · 09/01/2026 11:11

I think Jade has a boyfriend!

That's one theory out then!

Defiantly41 · 09/01/2026 11:52

@MrsLeonFarrell well they both have an excellent eyeshadow game going on! Loving their makeup skills

So am I. Wish i could do make up like that.

CharlotteRumpling · 09/01/2026 12:47

I don"t think any of the remaining players are related. It's usually one pair or none per series. Last year posters were determined that Frankie was Harry's mum! She wasn't.

TellingBone · 09/01/2026 12:49

Has Fiona ever commented on why she listed Mazz twice for murder when ST?

If Fiona does go tonight I'm not sure it's a given that Rachel will be next. It could definitely be seen as a Traitor act against someone who is on to them. So it could work the opposite way and people think Rachel is ultra faithful.

PineappleSunrise · 09/01/2026 12:57

Initially I thought last night’s Fiona-vs-Rachel clash was going to be the purest example of female conflict to be seen on telly - when Rachel made her announcement, and then Fiona took Harriet off to stir the pot, I was convinced we were about to see a series of quiet counter-briefings from Fiona that would eventually build to something explosive at the next round table.

But NO, Fiona went full nuclear! I couldn’t believe it when she fought with Rachel 121, then took it out to the rest of the group! It was a terrible decision on her part, and it completely undermined the “sweet motherly lady” persona she’d been flying under the radar on. She looks like a player now - but then so does Rachel, who has now also made the same attention-drawing mistake Hugo did. They’ve both done too much.

Ironically they may have just set up Stephen to be the last of them standing, as the blow-up was so big it will wipe the Ross set-up and Fingerprint issues out of people’s minds.

It’s been amazing telly!

CaveMum · 09/01/2026 12:59

BestIsWest · 09/01/2026 11:44

I really don’t like the games on this series where they are ‘picking on’ individuals. First the choosing of people for the cages leaving Sam without a partner then last nights burning of the shields with names on. I don’t recall the games in past series being so spiteful, there was a lot more teamwork I think. Reminds me of school bullying.

I hope Stephen stays in as long as possible for the sheer entertainment value of his facial expressions.

There have always been games that are aimed at dividing the players - Series 1 had the people strapped to that big ferris wheel while people answered questions like “which player is most likely to do x” and “which player is a leader and which is a sheep”. They’ve had variations of that game every series.

Don’t forget S3 saw the 3 returners hoisted up in cages while players had to choose 2 to release.

It’s a brutal game, it’s sole purpose is to mess with your head and make you doubt yourself.

James - ADHD with a quiff
Jack - James with glasses
Adam - James with a hat
Matt - James with NI accent
Reece - James in blood
Faraaz- James but darker
Sam - James when he has shaved

I can identify Reece, James and Faraaz but the others definitely blend together.

Choux · 09/01/2026 13:07

After leading the charge on Hugo the faithful with the most sway at the moment is probably Harriet. I think she might have been convinced on Fiona’s initial quiet discussion with her about the possibility of Rachel being a traitor because ‘you have to consider everyone as a potential traitor’. But after Fiona’s confrontation of Rachel in front of everyone I think Harriet will be more suspicious of Fiona.

So I think Fiona will be out tonight and Rachel may have a chance to save herself. But she made a big mistake gathering everyone for a big announcement about Amanda’s career. Being too overt with actions is not good in this game whether you are a traitor or faithful.

Wasn't it Rachel who went to the rest of the group with the "Fiona thinks I'm a liar"? Or have I made that up in my head? I felt there was potential for keeping it contained up till that point - Rachel blew it wise open.

I'd say Ross understood why he was being picked on - his secret friend, his plan etc - he understood the optics. What was the reason Amanda picked Jade, I can't remember the explanation she gave?

I agree re Ross but he is not the only gamer to experience this and the majority react with good humour in the game, even when the “reason” is ridiculous.

Amanda was convinced about Jade on day one due to her reaction when the traitors were chosen.

If Jade had shrugged and said “that’s just me” or accepted it as part of the randomness of day one I imagine Amanda would have looked elsewhere. This is what most participants do in the game. Instead she made a performance of being upset and offended by it and promptly chose Amanda for no better reason than Amanda suspected her. I can totally see why that would reinforce a suspicious fellow in the game and it certainly wasn’t in the spirit of the game.

Honestly if she disappeared in a puff of smoke I don’t think anyone would notice - she seems to contribute very little and her reaction to Amanda will leave others reticent to comment on her.

Fiona made a mistake with Harriet i think. She assumed she could trick her but Harriet and Jessie are probably the most perceptive players.
